Question for you, that metal block with the yellow springs is that some kind of locker if so how does it work, and did u make this or is it a kit, and if u made it where did u get the measurements for it, just curious maybe I can do a cheap locker set up for an old Subaru or half ton Chevy without welding it !!!!
@@nobody4634 look up Lock Right locker 👍 They work awesome! No welding, they lock under load giving power to both wheels, off throttle they unlock so they don’t scrub tires in corners. I think you would like one. They cost about $250 but are worth it.
I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate the format of this channel and the videos. So many channels are filled with useless dialogue or shameless promotion. Donn just keeps it real. Straight content, no filler. My favorite channel on YT. Keep it up, Donn!
Donn, you are an intelligent and talented man. Here in the UK, we have a saying "Jack of all trades, master of none." - but you are a "Jack of all trades, master of them all."
an oft misquoted and misused Shakespearian quote This so-called jack of all trades was in fact William Shakespeare. The full phrase is “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” It was a compliment.
I have always wondered how those limited slips preform, looking forward to seeing the difference 👍 I installed a lockright in my Suzuki sidekick and it was a fantastic upgrade! Lots of work to take it all apart again but having everything painted will be really nice. Thanks for posting Donn 🙂
That's a lot of work man. Must be hard to have something finished and then say, "Well time to take it all back apart for finishing and paint!!" Nice work!
A good pair of pliers to remove snap rings of that size would be a set of parallel snub nose pliers fitted (welding or grub screw) with pins. Because they're parallel, they'll never let loose the ring, causing untold destruction and panic. :)
That sounds like a good tip, I never heard of (parallel snub nose pliers) Most snap rings have always gave me a hassle, make wonder why there isn't any (parallel snub nose pliers) that are>>>>snap ring pliers............
This guy is producing first class content, true genious at work and not promoting mass produced trash products or anything else. You might wondering what is the catch? And it is that he is from Eastern Europen county side so degenerate western ways haven't corrupted him. So glad I have found this channel. And that is one beautiful Fronius machine and workshop.
I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s glad that you ran the footage of the disassembly and reassembly at half speed so we could see what you were doing. 😉 I might be slightly disappointed that you didn’t paint it the red/orange colour that you’ve used in the past.
No no, it has to be green as that is the colour of all great makers on UA-cam, Cà Lem uses it on his channel and Matthias Wandel has his own shade of green. Green is go.
Love this build ! It's good and sad at the same time! It's good it's almost complete but Sad it's finished! I hope you have plans for another epic build?! Cheers from Sydney Australia 🇭🇲👍🐨🦘🦘🐨👍🇭🇲🇪🇪
You have long since left the realm of ordinary DIY, Donn. Nevertheless you remain a shining example for all those guys who at a lower level want to be creative in their own way. Keep amazing us, dude!
I mean, if you do things yourself it's still DIY, isn't it? While you do them you get more skilled and thus the ordinary known "hot glue gun" DIY evolves into something else. But it's still DIY for the person who does it, I think.🤔
Donn DIY Absolutely! Every project you do on your own is DIY. But there is a galactic difference between your work and that of the commoners. And that is by no means denigrating towards them.
I was really hoping that something would "fit like a glove" this week, but no such luck. Looking pretty cool, it's always so much better when things get a paint
Great Video .. You built the machine was great ,, then you take it all back apart into a million pieces .. finish weld and paint . great work .. then you remember where all the bolts go .. keep up the great work and videos you do .
Awesome my dude!! I'm making snowplow mounts for ATV. And I think I'll do my pins the same way you did. Simple things like that I enjoy watching. Also Great choice on the paint. Love this episode thanks Donn.
Ha! I see the Make It Extreme guys donated some paint. J/K I'm impressed by your mechanical knowledge of these old car parts and how to modify them to suit your design. It's a fact that this off road vehicle will be unique. 😉
Great job Donn, getting closer to the finish line! Really looks great! Thanks for sharing with your projects with us, alway enjoy watching your videos, Fred. 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻✋🏻✋🏻
i'm always impressed with donn's fabrication skills, but what really blew me away this time was the short parody of "ain't no mountain high enough" lol!
Limited slip differentials are the way to go, but since your track width distance side to side is only about 3 to 4 feet and your tires will only be driving on grass and probably never see concrete pavement, I wonder if you really need front and back differentials at all. Maybe on the steering front, but probably not on the rear. I think the rear axles could be welding together like you did with the front to back differential in the transmission. Just a thought. Great job! Loved watching it be built.
I see that the process for removing snap-rings is the same as the US. 1. Try 2. Cuss at it 3. Cuss at it some more 4. Break pliers( a lot more cussing) 5. Get new pliers 6. Cuss at it some more 7. Finally it almost falls out on it's own! I feel your pain. Keep after it. That UTV definitely has a mad max vibe. How about a powered trailer like a Gamma Goat to put behind it?
There is one side note of your videos that I appreciate and not many seem to notice or even care about. Creators like yourself and Make it Extreme list what music was used in the video. I appreciate that for the rare times I hear a song and like it. Now with that said, this machine is looking mean. Been following since before the build. Puts the homebuilt go-kart me and the grandfather made to shame.
Wow man that's a lot of work .....kinda like building it all over again ......but it will look FANTASTIC and will be painted the right way very nice work I look forward to the next video !! 👍👍
Neat design for that snow plow mount pin. Though I think I'd be tempted to put a nut on the end. If that thing gets rusted in there, err, WHEN it gets rusted in there it's going to be a bear to remove. With a nut you could not only turn it with a wrench, but also use a slide hammer to hammer it out of it's blind hole.
Excellent work , your engineering skills and intelligence are amazing . A pleasure to view work of your calibre . . I always view your content because of the different content and ideas you bring together to make excellent machines . Keep up the excellent work and content . From northern UK . .

Hi Donn, Absolutely beautiful, what an awesome project. Love everything about it, but mostly your determination to quality and perfection. Thanks for the video.
Citroen/Peugeot really knock it out the park with the engine in the berlingos/partners from the early 2000's, the petrol wasn't as strong but the diesels just seemed to go on for ever and ever, i was running one with blown gaskets mixed oil and water for months and months, it would take a hot minute to starting the morning and smoke screened my entire street whilst doing so but once started it ran flawlessly driving on average 100 mile each day 5 days a week,
Really liked this series- have huge, unreal expectations of your next- maybe a 100 tonne motor crane?- awesome is what you do before you think about it much! The use of sub titles for music credits was a great touch- I often wonder what your choices were and the "credits in notes below" take forever to link up! FR
Man you are …I don’t know, from which planet you said you are? This is just amazing, I wish I was close to assist you, Damn I am fucked up now, tomorrow morning going to look for a used Peugeot and few BMW difs..
Me at the halfway mark of the video: Thank god, there's still the half of this goodness left. Also me at the halfway mark: God damn, there's only half of this left anymore.
Donn, this thing is a beast! I have a feeling it'll take a lot of abuse and give you years of trouble free service! I like the paint job too, Kawi green or is it more like John Deere?
