Top 10 Beaches in MALLORCA | An Insider's Guide

- To celebrate 18 years of living in Mallorca, Spain, I have made this video - my Top 10 Beaches in Mallorca | An Insider's Guide. So join me and find out where my favourite beaches are in Mallorca (Majorca).
These Mallorca beaches have been chosen not only for their sheer beauty, and quality of water but also because of (in most cases) their access to services such as cafes, restaurants and toilets.
The majority of beaches here are well-serviced by public transport but I have chosen a couple which involve a short hike.
I will also give advice about finding an empty beach in July and August.

My top 3 are Cala St Vicente, Puerto Pollensa and Muro in Alcudia. 😍 Get fantastic fun waves at Cala St Vicente at times! Stunning water! Gorgeous shallow water at Muro!!

Superb top 10 Alex! I have only been to a couple of those and it really reminds me how much more of the island I have to explore. I love your number one choice and hope to get there myself sometime soon. I have only been to that end of the island on a rainy cold day (a rare one in March last year!)

One of my favorite little beaches is Sa Colabra Beach its a little cove , access is through the Sa Colabra Tunnel walkway Its absolutely Stunning ...
I’ll get down there over the winter when the island is much quieter !

Hi Alex just returned back to the uk I enjoyed an amazing week in alcudia and the beaches there are amazing the sand white and soft and the water safe to have a swim ill be back in September I was disapointed I never got the chance to meet you lol❤

Alcudia beach is the best I’ve ever been to by a long shot, anywhere in the world. St Elm is also lovely, as was camp de mar a little further south. Thanks for the video

Formentor beach gets so busy, need to go very early to get a good spot!! Take the early boat there and take a picnic as the one shop there is quite expensive! 😊

We did Alcúdia cala D'or and palma nova and Magaluf....in june 2023. I have to agree Alcudia is the best and we love cala D'or as well. 2 small kids would not leave the sand for dinner. $13 for secure locks on umbrellas had the family all in the best water all day. Already planning on going back in 2024. We liked palma nova where we started but after Alcudia we knew where to go back to.
That is lovely to hear! I have to say the beach is like paradise and I love that you she took prize the kids off the beach !! Brilliant !

Thank you for your invaluable island knowledge Alex, Totally agree with Formentor & Cala St V, sadly I saw in the local press Cala St V is losing their beach bar! I cannot fathom the absurdity of local councils!! Also you missed out Port de Pollenca, (obviously I'm biased as our apartment is near & its our go to local beach.) Personally love Alcanada in Alcudia. Not sure you can get the bus out there, Advise bring beach shoes as its completely pebbly. Picnic under ancient Pines. Equally gets packed in the high season. Lots of locals go there too. The water is amazingly clear deep and great for snorkelling. Enjoy
Oh no, has that been confirmed. Is it the beach bar in this video? It has to be one of the prettiest bars too. How absolutely ridiculous - I wonder if they'll get rid of the huge hotel on on the other side right on the coastline? Thanks for the other tips!
I am wondering if the councils are asking too much money for the rentals of these beach bar's? Apparently, the Small Bar, (the one favoured by cyclists,) in the car park was absolutely rammed!!
We are visiting Mallorca for the first time on a cruise and want to have a beach day here. Any recommendations on which you would choose coming from Palma? The Alcudia beaches seem far.
Hello ! It depends what kind of experience you would like. Check out Illetas beach in this video. Also you could get a taxi to Palmanova. Lots of lovely spots in the south west and only 10-25 mins drive from the port !

Have you been to Cala Mesquida? What are your thoughts on it? We will be staying there in few weeks
It is beautiful - lovely beach/dunes, walks etc. and near to some other great beaches.
However, be aware that the sea here can be a bit choppy, so please take care. It's often red flagged if there's a bit of disturbance in the water (you'll see surfers here). All in all, I'm sure you'll have a fab time!

Its just me and my friend coming to visit the island for 4 days.
You can rent scooters but personally I wouldn’t just because it’s scary enough driving for me at least ! I prefer the protection of a car !
Im surprised Pollensa beach isnt in your top 10 - We have always found it clean, tidy and with a large/long stretch of sand. I did hear it lost a large amount of sand in the last storm to hit the north of the island last month I think. We will be there this week. Thank you Alex :-)

Hi, I made this video as a piece of evergreen content that could be viewed throughout the year and not just in May. It wouldn't have made financial sense to drive around the island to film each individual beach from Sant Elm to Cala d'Or to Formentor in real time when I had the footage over the past year that I could use. I did film the presenting bit and Illetas beaches in real time though as that was where I went to make the video.

Its a great beach if you're sitting on a super yacht. My experiences in the Summer havne't been great, so haven't been for years.

I went to the first beach, the restaurant has amazing food, and great service. But the rent of the chair on the beach,I had to pay 9 euros. Thats a rip off.
Why is that a rip off - I don't understand why sunbeds and beach umbrellas should be mantained and serviced for free!
I've not found a cheaper chair price on a beach from Thailand Hawaii Mexico and Mallorca...maybe Ipanema was $5 in 2010?
