I would also like to add. Try to visit the island several times throughout the year, even winter time where one plans to live to get a feel of the place. Prior to COVID, I used to come to Mallorca even in January, February time for very short breaks, even day trips to just check my apartment over which I have had for about 10 years now. I now come over 2 or 3 times a year now. Also a drive in the mountains can be easier in the winter months, but there were still some cycle holidays.
Absolutely Lee, I think visiting in the winter is vital before moving here. Re. the cycling, I actually think the winter is the best time to have a cycling holiday. Emptier (safer) roads and cooler temperatures. I never really understand those who cycle in 35 degrees in the Summer. It can't be fun.
I think sometimes the reality of what seems like paradise can turn sour after even a short while, I know people who emigrated to Australia and returned months later wasn't what they expected, Its always important to do as much research as you can, Oh nearly forgot Happy new year Alex.
Exactly, it's so easy to look at a nice beach and see paradise, but being aware of a few home truths and making a move with eyes wide open is so important, especially when emigrating. A very happy new year to you too. 🤗
Winter is my favourite time to visit for a holiday. Deserted roads and beaches, no queues in Supermarkets. As long as you can find somewhere to rent with heating then winter is a great time for a quiet holiday walking in the mountains or along deserted beaches. I just love it and so does my wife.
Having lived in Cornwall in England previously, (also a big holiday area) I used to like the winter months there, apart from the heavy rainfall! Awww, thanks so much Paul - yes I can imagine that Cornwall is very similar at the moment too - It's now a holiday and second home mecca and I can imagine how is changed over the years. I would love to see Cornwall - one day!
Happy new year Alex. I Watched and lissened to your video and read a lot of comments. myself and my wife have lived mainland Spain for nearly 18 years and my advice to anyone who wants to move to Spain to work. you have to have the drive and determination to succeed at what ever work you wish to do either for yourself or for someone else as its not easy making it in another country. If you come with a half hearted attempt you will fail and think of something that no one else is doing and that's not easy. I am a Spaniard and Mallorca is really one of the greatest places in Spain. I have been there in November and December besides summer, and some days the weather reminded me of Miami in winter (where I lived 5 years). I know the other Balearic islands too and my favourite is Menorca (not for living 365 days), but Mallorca has also La Sierra de Tramontana. Those mountains are a great place for hiking. By the way, once I had to drive along it with a quite thick layer of snow, so not all winter days are as in Miami. I understand this video is meant for a British audience, but I did not understand why "Friendship" is a problem. You can also make local friends, which won't move away. Is it difficult to approach locals in Mallorca?
Hi, I didn't actaully say I don't have local friends. I do! Also, my daughter's friends are mainly from the island. However we have found that often weekend is family time for our "local" friends as they do spend a lot of family time together. Expats, regardless of nationality have the commonality that most of us do not have other family on the island so we are naturally drawn together. We can't expect to be invited to our local friend's family gatherings!
I loved this video. Very informative.. I love Majorca as it’s a very quick flight from UK. But you don’t get the all year round sun and warmth like, say, Tenerife. On a completely different note, Son Matias beach , How beautiful is it in January.?? I would 100% fly out from the UK for a day to spend time just sitting in the tranquility 🤣 I love this beach and have stayed in both the Globales and Son Matias Hotel. Both I would recommend, the latter probably more. We always spend the day on this beautiful beach (summer months you have to be the early bird to get a sunbed and parasol) it does get very busy. This is why is so nice to see it so peaceful. Also recommend The Scotsman bar (at the beginning of the vid). I loved the Christmas lights in Palma video, this is definitely something I will be doing. ❤
Brilliant video! Moving to paradise isn't all that's cut out to be...I know a few people from the mainland moving back for all the reasons you describe, but especially cost of living and family....
Hellooooo! Have to give a balanced view of life here, because I think it would be wrong not to. Lots to love about living here...and lots to be aware of.
I’m considering moving to Mallorca. Are the farmers markets open during winter? Are there enough doctors and hospital staff on the island during winter? Is it better to buy a house/apartment cash or with a mortgage?
I am Mallorcan. Farmer markets are opened during winter. There are more than enought hospitals and doctors. And better service due to the island is not overpopulated. Its better to buy a house if you dont have B1 level of Spanish language. Better mortgage for pay less taxes. Note: the Mallorcans and the Spanish in general dont hate tourist just there are other destinies for break our things, disturb local people and our culture and expect from us a wide smile.
As a visitor, the driving standard is the one things i hate about the island. Locals just love to sit on your bumper, and what is it with roundabouts, everyone seems to use just the outside lane, no matter what exit they are taking. Not sure what they think the inside lane is for?
Hahaha, I learnt the hard way not to use the inside lane on a roundabout or you may never leave. The rules are a bit different here. You can only exist if there is noone on the outside lane, hence why everyone sits in it. As for the bumper to bumper drivers. I literally hate that too, I always pull over and let them fly by. Life is too short.
Hi! I'm a local! You should think of locals as "owners" and of visitors as "gests." When you visit somebody's home, you adapt to their rules, don't you? . Enjoy Mallorca next time you come.
Really enjoyed that Alex. I can’t believe the weather you have just now. It’s amazing. It looks a lot nicer than when you were in steve&anitas video (displaying all the signs of stage two hypothermia 😂)
hahaha, so funny to see Steve and Anita in the depths of Somerset and it was such a rainy day! I'm definitely not made for that weather... thankfully back in my natural habitat!
To Many colonialist in the island, and this type of videos encourage the growth of colonialism... Then the Young local people can't buy a home, while the British and German don't stop coming and buying. And the worst of all, on the end, most of then don't integrate with local society, instead learning spanish they force you to speak their languages perfecto... Now to sell apartments, clothes and furniture you must know languages... When they are businesses outside of tourism. It's crazy!!
Thank you for this. Fallen in love with the place and heavily considering the move in the near future. I think the partying aspect really is subject to where you go in Mallorca. Palma Nova for instance can be just as busy in peak period and I would consider that area second in line to Magaluf with regards to partying, apologies if I am wrong that's just the impression I got. The cost of living aspect I believe has drastically changed, I found it a lot cheaper there compared to the UK now. Completely agreed with the car travel and public transport aspect. Its non existent in peak times.
The island out of season has such a different feel to it too. Come and spend a winter here before you consider moving. You'll see what I mean! (personally I really like it!)
Hi Alex thanks for the info really helpful I'm planning to visit the island in April may try can picafort or alcudia it should be a lot more quiet also I love to visit the less touristy little towns inland happy times lol xx
Yes, it'll be much quieter then, but also bear in mind those resorts will be a lot windier at that time of year too so without the summer heat they could feel cooler. Alcudia beach is v. popular with wind and kite surfers at this time of year for that reason... BUT you are right, you would enjoy a much more peaceful time than in the Summer months!
Great video! I'm moving to Mallorca in march... Got all my documents sorted last week and found a place to live close to work.. can't wait to move there!
Wanted to touch on the moving to Mallorca video you’re doing soon with the law firm you could maybe include something about anyone from the UK who currently is registered disabled and received PIP, ESA benefits etc and how we would get the equivalent in Mallorca that would be something very good to know. That’s one thing I’m wondering about if I moved there with family. Would all my benefits stop?.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun hi Alex, yes they are, we’re in the UK, British born family. I have a chronic illness so I get PIP and ESA currently. Assessments every 4-5 years. Thanks :)
Good points: Mallorca is popular in large part because you can get there quickly in just over two hours from London for example. You can get pretty much everything in the shops if you have the money. Sunshine in winter is always good and beaches are nice (though quite dirty these days). Beautiful views of mountains, beaches, etc. Bad points: Winters are cold and humid and most properties are not insulated and often have no heating or A/C, huge lack of respect that I have not experienced anywhere else in the world (currently in Alicante which is such a huge contrast as people here are very kind, friendly, and welcoming towards foreigners), high level of xenophobia, greed, sleaze (many very sleazy characters, drug dealers, etc, extremely dodgy, greedy, and dishonest landlords). Attracts all kinds of people, but that includes a high proportion of sleazy types. Terrible driving, disrespect on roads, swearing and obscene gestures made by many drivers towards pedestrians. Dog poop all over pavements and even on beaches. Highly transient place, people often stay for a few years and leave. Making genuine friends in Mallorca is very tough. Often people will befriend you because they think they can get something from you. Many ´users ´around. Food prices and cost of accommodation only going up every year.
Hello there! Interesting comment, but I think the downsides you mentioned can just about apply to just about everywhere in the world depending on experience. Although this a hugely transient place and I'm really fed up with saying goodbye to people, so that's spot on :(
Fab video! I lived in China for quite a few years- missing family is a very difficult part- but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Mallorca here we come (eventually 🤣)
Great video, love watching something different & your presentation is so good. Agree with your comments about friends. When I lived in Spain & Portugal I found you become close to other expats from many countries & then they disappear.
We have a house divided, I say Go and she says No. She says we should just rent for the allowed time on the Passport, but I feel at peace when visiting. Either way, we all win! Thanks for the great info as always!
It’s a hard one Mark. I would definitely say come in winter - it may just swing it for the whole family. After the bad weather I experienced in the U.K, I’m surprised there hasn’t been a mass exodus!
I would do it if you can. Living here is different to holidaying of course, but overall the quality of life is so much better than the UK in my opinion, and obviously the weather is fantastic.
Do you live near the ocean or more inland? Kind of figured some of those things since we've been living in Alicante(Moraira) and in a lot of regards is similar and gets crazy in the summer time. We visited in April 2023 for the first time and loved it. I don't mind not being near the beaches especially in summer as I like the countryside. Cheers!🧡
Thank you Alex 🙏 so informative! Lots to consider and think about. We will get a holiday home on the island first and then we can experience the island at other times of the year too! 🙂
That's a wise move, although you may soon be limited in being able to do that with the new home owner rules expected. The holiday homes have driven up the price and availability of rentals to locals :(
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun I was talking to Tim about that. It's doubtful the Mallorcan government would exclude overseas investment entirely after all that's their bread and butter. Plus if they do people will invest elsewhere if they make the island too exclusive. We will see when the time comes, what will be will be!
@@ltlawithamanda I wouldn't say they will exclude foreign investment entirely, but reported in the press have been suggestions that foreign investors will have to be residents here for a certain time frame. Time will tell if this goes ahead. Speaking from experience, it's just awful to see apartments being snapped up cheaply by overseas investors who come and visit a few times a year, leaving nowhere for actual residents to live. A line has to be drawn somewhere.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun it's a balance unfortunately looking after residents' housing needs versus foreign investment. I hope the government find an amicable solution! 🙏
Great video Alex. I must say It's sounds just like the UK but with sun and nice weather. What ever you do I wouldn't come back to UK. If I had the money I would be out 😁
It is no big thing to avoid the tourist packed bits in Mallorca during the main season (although it's slowly creeping in at the mountains too). As regards buses, they are perpect if one avoids to travel at the tourists hours after 9:30 am and before 7 pm. You would go for pinchos before 8:30 pm either, when they have left. That said in the only-tourist towns on the coast, the ones deserted off season, you'll have problems to get on a bus - but who on earth goes there in the season). Happy new year to you too..
Yes, very dead in winter and weather not great. But still beautiful and still get sunshine, though can be quite cold, rainy, and windy. Affordability is a problem. Cost of living is high with most things imported. Renting is a nightmare these days. Very glad I left when I did.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun I truly loved Mallorca at one point and sang its praises, but after 2-3 years, started to see what it really was like and stayed far too long I think. Still, it was an interesting experience and I have a lot of amazing photos of beautiful views and sunsets.
What abaut work in the winter?, or do you need to safe enough to last for a couple of months? Im a sous-chef and i got asked alot to work in mallorca but its for 7 months a year. I'l have to live there i cant get away for 7 months.
I cant believe you talkin about mallorca like this. Last time I went to palma a 3 course meal was 650 pesatas and you could get drunk on free drinks. The Joy's of working there I suppose. 🥰 now you got to do 50 good reasons to come to mallorca now Alex ..cant wait for that video. -:)
Ahhh, of course! I've missed out mosquitos too. I'll have to add them into the web article at least! But how can I forget sleeping in the Summer. It's not great!
Er wouldn't anyone who's moving abroad do their research or even rent for a while before committing to buying a property , its obvious that any seaside town is going to be very quiet during the winter months , what would people prefer living by the beautiful sea and resort or stuck in a tower block on a run down high crime estate 24-7 ?
Well I am hoping this video will form part of their research as a lot of people do research options online when they are looking at places to live. I have lived here for 17 years so do have some experience living here.
A Canarian friend of mine has a Romanian wife and they occasionally take a holiday in Romania. Last spring on their way back to Gran Canaria they changed planes at Palma de Mallorca. They wanted a hotel room for one night near the airport, but decided to spend the night in the airport terminal as the cheapest room cost 300 euros. I'll come to Palma Nova next August, but it'll cost me more than a holiday in Thailand. Two weeks in Rhodes in a nice hotel costs about 1000 euros including the flight from Helsinki.
I forgot to mention that public transport has been free of charge in Tallinn, Estonia, for years. As far as I know, this is only in the city, not in the countryside.
Oh my goodness, that is just crazy! I know this year is going to be more expensive than most, so hoping to have some good value for money tips for those coming over. Stay tuned.
Thank you.🙂. I live here and I still can live with these things together. I don't earn 2000€ a month but still can live like a queen! Compare this lifestyle to the countries of east side of europe I have a golden life! 😁😍
After going to the UK recently, I also think we like like Queens (and Kings), just by being able to spend a lovely day outside in the sun in January....for free! We have the best life!
Lived in Mallorca for 12 years from 2001. Main things I disliked and not included in the video...1) Barking dogs! In many residential areas, people have "guard dogs" roaming their gardens and property. It is quite usual for constant barking from dogs. They do not seem to be controlled to the same extent as in UK, for example. 2) Be careful if purchasing a property with a "Community", as residents within these communities, having varying disposable incomes. As such, the ability to pay for maintenance, improvements, projects, etc, although usually controlled by an Administrator, can be fairly chaotic. 3)Driving/Parking. Many Local residents are not so careful driving their vehicles (as mentioned in the video), but also, are somewhat erratic when parking also...I always parked well away from other vehicles whenever possible to avoid bumps, scratches, etc, from irresponsible opening of doors, etc. There are not many cars (even newish) in Mallorca that are bump/scratch free! Having said all that, loved living there for the most part, and still revisit friends there whenever possible.
Hello Alan! How could I miss these points out. At some point I'll update my website article with these. I remember almost being driven from the place I'm living in now by a barking dog, and then they uped and left. I coudn't have been more happy! And also the whole community culture. The rules can be crazy! One thing I would never do here, no matter how much money I had, is own a new car either. The stress would be too much LOL!
I went to Majorca 3 times last summer. Feels odd to watch your last few videos as I stayed in cala bona in the hotel Alicia and then in the Fergus style Tobago which you are outside here. I hope the Olive Tree was open for you, an absolutely fantastic restaurant
And I still have some more videos I hope you will like coming out soon from that area! Sadly the Olive Tree is closed for the winter, but I did make it in for one of the last days of service.. Food fab as always!
I need to watch other videos you have done ,but most of things you mention ,cost of living , housing, etc is the same in u.k. it’s March and temperature is 2c , and brexit in u.k. has made life difficult. If I was thinking of moving to majorca , it’s research, research, research…. And looking for a location away from the coast ,even though I love the beach .
Great vid as usual Alex, Only thing I worry about is ok free bus travel for residents but someone has to pay for it!, Are tourist's going to be hammered with sky high bus fares ?
Getting a rental car and get really good insurrance is my advice! I watched a car literally reverse into mine the other day, bumping it like they could!
Where on this planet is paradise all year round anyway? We used to go to Australia in their summer and come back to Europe in ours for eternal summer living, but even that is quite complicated over the years. At present, we are spending the summer in Mallorca and the winter in the Algarve. Loving both places and fortunately no need to rent, and, no need to work either as retirees.
Rent shot up. Can't find anything under 2500€ and they want so much paperwork. Like I can get a mortgage with less paperwork than what they ask. School is cool. Agora is tops. But real estate is bonkers. Basic 3 bed apartment - 500k. Basic house with a pool and parking - 1 mill. Anything really cool 3+mill. Oh and taxes went up. Self employed 30.6-50% with all the fees. Think might move to Marbella
If you are a Britisish Citizen (have a British passport), and are resident in Spain or soon to get the new Digitial Nomad visa (and are British) you can still work with British companies remotely
😂 Oh goodness, I remember going to Formentera about 14 years ago and renting a little house in the middle of the island. 6 of us girls went and we paid 50 euros a night. We found the same property online and it now costs something like a zillion euros a night, so I can guess that this might be top of your 1.000.000 you don't like so much. And I can't even think what the restaurant prices are like now!
depende en la hora dependiendo que vayas, y donde aparques... y cuando hay lluvia en verano (por los turistas), puede ser imposible a encontrar parking!
Alex I live in Aussie we are a island have been to Spain years ago enjoyed it now it’s full of Brit’s which is a shame no Spanish names on restaurants seems like they have over taken the Spanish culture which is sad it’s like aussies in Bali same bad habits Mexico which won’t let USA overtake the culture I notice when go there and North Americans respect that I can imagine the football hobos there in summer if uk had good weather no one would leave and it would thrive then again Nordic countries manage the cold better
If you are going to live anywhere, DO NOT choose a holiday destination!!!!!!! Been there, done that. Pick a normal residential town. Learn the language. Otherwise buy a timeshare.
You can't ever enjoy high season. Too many on the beaches. Restaurants full. 2h wait for poor quality, hastedly put together food. Traffic everywhere. Shops full. 0 parking. Prices raised to catch the tourists. Costa del Sol even used to raise the toll road fees. The towns have to provide all roads, utilities and services for twice the normal population and that raises taxes for everybody throughout the year.
Different strokes for different folks.....!!! 🤷🤔 Thankfully Mallorca is trying to appeal to a much wider demographic. It was great to see more German, French, American, Scandinavian etc last season, in addition to Brits who just want "cheap".... I suppose you get what you pay for and cheap does not often promote quality but then again in cases neither does expensive. There are ways to do things cost effectively, that is for sure. It would be interesting to show this content to a local and get their view. "Hate" is a very strong word, "dislike" or " challenging" is better. By its definition, if the former be true then, with respect, why are you still living on the island. ??? Allegedly, you get more "bang for your buck" on the mainland but it is clear that the quality of your life in Mallorca outweighs heavily the "10" things you " dislike" si o no ?
Mallorca is a place the king would have his vacation, it grew with popularity with tourists and with so many, it stinks. It's still a paradise for a vacation of 1 or 2 weeks, even a month but after that, cold horrible winters where humidity causes your bones to hurt to hellish summers. The island ends up a nightmare for someone rich like you and a way of life for someone who makes your bed and your breakfast. They would love to be you, they are poor people from all over spain and other countries, some Italy. Would you rather be a bartender in some ugly part of spain or one where everyone is happy and the view is amazing. To meet someone that is interesting is everything. Our memories, I have gone 10 times. I have gone to many other places also. The way the WEF is destroying europe, I have to be happy to have done it years ago. The people are wonderful in Europe, you can't compare them to the US.
Lol, the driving had me in tears it is so bad never renting a car on the island again! Public transport is very good as well, so it's fine apart from face masks, but I don't know if they are inforcing it still?
Hello! The word is they will stop face mask wearing on public transport soon, but we are still awaiting a final decision to be made on this. Watch this space!

It's crazy!!
agreee
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Thanks for the advice once again, I will definitely do that before making a final verdict!
Oh wow, that's so exciting! Wishing you all the very best luck with your move!
All the best with the move
So how was the move almost 1 year later then?
Best decision ever :)
Hello! Oh are these UK benefits? Let me know!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun hi Alex, yes they are, we’re in the UK, British born family. I have a chronic illness so I get PIP and ESA currently. Assessments every 4-5 years. Thanks :)
( Personal independence payment )
I live in port de Pollensa and during the winter is so empty, but at least the volleyball court is still up 😂,love the videos!
I do love the quiet times too though! Also you get to know the residents as we ususally the only ones here!
What a beautiful place to live WOW
Oh that's fab to hear! And wow, that must've been an experience to live in China!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun it changed my life forever!
Everytime I have been to Mallorca it always rains but you did show the hotel I stayed in so thanks for that
That's such a shame and really unlucky!
Great video, love watching something different & your presentation is so good. Agree with your comments about friends. When I lived in Spain & Portugal I found you become close to other expats from many countries & then they disappear.
Aww thanks Caroline - yes it's pretty rubbish when friends leave.. .and then new ones come in.. .
Living here is different to holidaying of course, but overall the quality of
life is so much better than the UK in my opinion, and obviously the weather is fantastic.
Cheers!🧡
I leave around 200 metres from the coast, so yes I guess my experience would be slightly different in the countryside!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun I don't think there are any cheap properties to be picked up anymore whether you're a resident or overseas investor.
If I had the money I would be out 😁
LOL, I have to admit that rain sent me packing back to Spain 😂 I do miss the UK sometimes though. Can't have it all.
Same with Australia the country is going backwards at a rapid rate.
Thank you Alex for the best, honest and very helpful info
You priceless woman
Awww, thanks Manuel, I hope it helps some people coming over here!
Very true Olaf, although I love to see the resorts in Winter... Literally love the beach walks in winter!
Very helpful video I am planning on spending slightly longer times out there.
Happy to be of help!
Great video and happy new year Alex
Hi Patrick, thanks, and to you!
Thank you so much for such a genuine and honest video.
The videos you make are all so excellent and informative.
Awww, John, thanks so much for the kind comment!
Hi Alex great and honest video, but in the winter you have the island to your self, ❤❤ 🇪🇸
Very true... we reclaim the island for ourselves and it's wonderful!
I lived in Cala dOr for nearly 18 years and couldn't wait for the 31st of October.
I dont know why people dont like driving in Spain. I prefer driving in Spain to driving at home any day! It's far more relaxing.
Empty beaches in the winter is normal everywhere. Not just Mallorca.
Not so in the Canary Islands!
Yes, very dead in winter and weather not great. But still beautiful and still get sunshine, though can be quite cold, rainy, and windy. Affordability is a problem. Cost of living is high with most things imported. Renting is a nightmare these days. Very glad I left when I did.
I know quite a few people who have said the same!
I will make a video about this soon. This is a very good point. But yes, seasonal work isn't an easy choice....and yes you will need to save a bit.
Thre are more than 50 good reasons to live here!! That's coming up!
Interesting vlog Alex. Agreed with many of your highlighted points. I hope you’re well x
Sleeping in July/August is one of my ultimate hates.
Stay tuned.
Hi Alex - Any news on the local government culling the Mosquitos for this Year ? October was horrendous. Thanks.
Hello - I've not heard anything, but I would love to know too! I'll try and find out.
I lived in mallorca forc30byears and today I still have friends on the island who I am in contact withbto this day.
Aww, that's lovely 🤗
Thank you.🙂. I live here and I still can live with these things together. I don't earn 2000€ a month but still can live like a queen! Compare this lifestyle to the countries of east side of europe I have a golden life! 😁😍
After going to the UK recently, I also think we like like Queens (and Kings), just by being able to spend a lovely day outside in the sun in January....for free! We have the best life!
Very informative video. Many thanks
Thanks so much! Have a lovely weekend!
Hola Alex ,happy new year.
Happy New Year to you Robert!
How much is the average rent? Is it more expensive than the nordis?
Depends on the area and what you are renting - I would say the average is about 850 euros for a 2 bed property
Great vlog 😊 what made u want to move to Spain 🇪🇸

I need to watch other videos you have done ,but most of things you mention ,cost of living , housing, etc is the same in u.k. it’s March and temperature is 2c , and brexit in u.k. has made life difficult. If I was thinking of moving to majorca , it’s research, research, research…. And looking for a location away from the coast ,even though I love the beach .
The only problem as a business owner is the winter months can feel a really long time not having any income...
It is... it-s nice to have a break, but it's these months now that do seem to drag on a bit.
how do poor people survive in malorca?
Somehow, I guess
Great vid as usual Alex, Only thing I worry about is ok free bus travel for residents but someone has to pay for it!, Are tourist's going to be hammered with sky high bus fares ?
Hello - do you know, that's a really really good point. I'll give an update on this soon!
I love Mallorca, however the summer time is too hot for me.
This summer just gone was particularly hot too!
If i had a magic wand be over there like a shot
Try easyjet 😜
Another one is the parking habits, one idiot parked 5 cm from my rental car leaving paint scratch although there other free parking space i Soller.
Getting a rental car and get really good insurrance is my advice! I watched a car literally reverse into mine the other day, bumping it like they could!
Excellent video alex

Where on this planet is paradise all year round anyway? We used to go to Australia in their summer and come back to Europe in ours for eternal summer living, but even that is quite complicated over the years. At present, we are spending the summer in Mallorca and the winter in the Algarve. Loving both places and fortunately no need to rent, and, no need to work either as retirees.
Sounds perfect!!

Don't lie
You can make : 50 things that i hate from Ibiza and 1.000.000 that i hate from Formentera (believe me) 🤣
😂 Oh goodness, I remember going to Formentera about 14 years ago and renting a little house in the middle of the island. 6 of us girls went and we paid 50 euros a night. We found the same property online and it now costs something like a zillion euros a night, so I can guess that this might be top of your 1.000.000 you don't like so much. And I can't even think what the restaurant prices are like now!
I'd happily move abroad if it was possible beats living in the UK
Video out soon!
Is there a summer in the UK, blink and you miss it.
Beautiful island. The best europe beach location.
Too many Brits?

You’ve got a book? You don’t say!
😂😂😂
suffering from success
Alex I live in Aussie we are a island have been to Spain years ago enjoyed it now it’s full of Brit’s which is a shame no Spanish names on restaurants seems like they have over taken the Spanish culture which is sad it’s like aussies in Bali same bad habits Mexico which won’t let USA overtake the culture I notice when go there and North Americans respect that I can imagine the football hobos there in summer if uk had good weather no one would leave and it would thrive then again Nordic countries manage the cold better
Not so here really... most are spanish. Even the British restaurants have declined with Brexit.
If you are going to live anywhere, DO NOT choose a holiday destination!!!!!!! Been there, done that. Pick a normal residential town. Learn the language. Otherwise buy a timeshare.
Hence why I live on the edge of Palma. I love the resorts, but only for visiting whatever time of the year!
You are living in our country for that amount of years and are not able to pronounce the word MALLORCA 😅😮
😂 If you watch my channel, you will know why I pronouce it multiple ways in my videos. Thanks for the comment tho!
"Hate" is a very strong word,
"dislike" or " challenging" is better.
