    Very good video! We look forward to our October visit. On our last visit, my partner missed a step in a local store and fractured her hip quite badly. She spent four days in a hospital and had superb care. Google translate was our best friend - my four years of Spanish didn't include medical terms lol. And Uber. Cannot say enough. Why better than Taxi's? Because Uber drivers get the best fares when they have full stars. They rely on delivering you safe and happy. I took 10 Ubers in four days and everyone was fantastic. Full tips to all the drivers. We literally made it to that Church in Centro and one store so we definitely look forward to actually seeing the place next time!! Oh! And we had a Vallarta Adventures planned and that had to be cancelled. They not only refunded our money BUT the VA guys met our Uber at the Airport and arranged someone to take her through customs and the paperwork in her wheelchair and they took excellent care of us. Love that area.

      We had the same experience! Obviously, not with the emergency injury, but my wife had a few surgeries while we were there. The medical care was amazing and so were all the people. Thanks for your comment.

    We stayed in Mismaloya south of PV for 10 days of heaven right before the pandemic and both fell in love with the area and have now recommended it so many times. Such a quick flight from Canada and the USA. Hoping to get back for an extended stay some winter very soon.

    I'm loving that you mentioned Jarretaderas "Jarretas" for short. An awesome little local village (where i live) & love with a great past and present history of struggle & success. It's 100% authentic and the locals are the real deal. It greatly contrasts the rapidly developing NuevoNayarit. So many don't have the nerve to explore as it contrasts all the new development & literally & physically is shadowed by eL Monstruo Vidanta.
    Great food as you mentioned, on Tues has a great open air mercado (best deal in all of Nayarit). An awesome catholic church and park plaza just across the street. Buy some fresh tortillas, special mention to Mama' Nena's (to eat). Explore the area....

    i love your guys's info on PV, i grew up there as a child and i fell in love with it i still visit every yr, for at least a month sometimes 2 at diff. times of the yr. as far as your spanish learning just think of it this way, the way it is written is the way it's pronounced, as long as u can read it it should be pretty simple but in the more touristy areas, most the locals know enough english to be able o communicate comfortably. enjoy the rest of your stay and i hope u guys are having a blast.

    Just got back from 5 days (Oct 2023) in PV. My main complaint was the heat. I am 73 and found it hard to take, as very little air-conditioning is available. It was 90 degrees everyday, which isn't bad, but the humidity was like 95% and you just don't stop sweating. BTW, we took a water taxi to Yelapa to the beach and waterfall. Some guy there had the biggest iguana I have ever seen, and I actually held it. We stayed in a villa a little South of the Romantic Zone below the Hyatt. It was beautiful but a little old and needed maintenance and I did fall walking down the stone steps they had at the villa (there was no rail). It took us 57 steps to get up to the street level. Whew! Great video, BTW. I probably won't be going back as it was a little 3rd worldy to me.

    • @TheirHappyTrails
      @TheirHappyTrails  Рік тому

      That is a great topic! We plan on making a video for it, but in a nutshell, flights were easy to find and book just like any other flights. Once in route, instructions are pretty clear in regards of what to do at customs and with baggage. The main suggestion is once you arrive, walk past all the people asking to give you a lift and go outside. There you’ll find registers cab drivers and a line for taxis. OR if you’re up for saving a few hundred pesos, walk out of there airport and turn left, keep walking along the front of the building then turn left again. You’ll see the tunnel that goes over the highway and on the other side are drivers and Uber pick up spots for a fraction of the price, like half! Good luck and let us know if there’s anything else we can help with!
