    I'm glad the axiom is getting a good review, since Tesoro is gone Garrett is the best company I've dealt with if I need a part or repair. No sending stupid emails and playing the waiting game. Whenever I need something from Garrett I just call them, a friendly person answers and we are on the way to solving the problem RIGHT NOW! If I ever get out west to detect I'm going with Garrett.
    Hope you have lots of luck with it, good video.

    Very cool. Once upon a time in college I found a nice stringer of native silver in the Santa Rita pit near Silver City,NM. It was about 10 inches in length and was pretty thick. I’d say it was about an ounce or so. Unfortunately the mine didn’t let me keep it, but I’ll never forget that silver.

    If you have a 11x13 double D coil you should give a try if you haven't already. Except for the fact it's heavier and bulkier, I think it's a little better, even on small gold, than the 9x11 mono.

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK
      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK  3 місяці тому

      I have the 7x11 DD , and will be trying that soon. Is your coment based on your own experience or what someone else has said? Historically Mono`s hear small gold better but I dont have the experience with the Axiom Yet

    • @G53X0Y0Z0
      @G53X0Y0Z0 3 місяці тому

      @@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK - My comment is based on my experience of lot's of use and just testing. I use a GM 1000 too, and often pack it over my shoulder. It just depends on circumstances I suppose, but I tend to compare gather the response of both detectors on many targets I find. It's not infrequent that my Axiom and 11x13 DD finds a smaller target more easily than the VLF. The smaller coil is sure handier though, so pros and cons to both. I have compared the 9x11 mono to the 11x13 DD, and would like to try a 9x11 DD too.
      Steve H at the detector prospector website says the Garret DD has some uniqueness that makes it's properties unlike other DD coils. I talked to Boulderdash at the Quartzsite gold show this year, and showed him some of the gold I found this year. I have got a few hundred pieces so far this year, some really small and some decent sized nuggets. Nothing huge like he's found though.

    • @G53X0Y0Z0
      @G53X0Y0Z0 3 місяці тому +1

      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK I wrote out a long, detailed reply earlier. I must have forgotten to post it, because i don't see it here. My comment about the coils is based on a lot of hours using them all, plus with a GM 1000. I have found a few hundred pieces at Quartzsite so far in 2024.

    Great video.. I'm thinking of coming to Quartzite and stay at a LTVA area this fall and do some prospecting for a season and see what happens. As far as a claim or a area to work on, are you or Boulderdash open to contract agreements or share of the take on a claim you might own? I want to go hard on it, dry washing as many buckets as possible a day. I just want to be where the gold is... I've heard you guys say in vids before about claims you own. Are you someone i could contact in the future to discuss things and possibly work something out? You guys remind me of me, haha. I've been in the trades for 25 years hardscaping and stone masonry. Your drywashing vids are right up my alley... Hope to hear from you. Happy hunting and GL.

    Hi Looking for a little advice. I have been metal detecting for 40yrs. I am thinking about detecting for gold for the first time. ( Yuma area ) Should I start with an entry level detector or buy something like your Axiom?

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK

      Howdy. Dont waste money on entry level stuff. You will likely regret it and wind up spending more money in the long run. The Garrett Axiom will do very well in the yuma area, and its a professional gold hunting machine.
      Get it through Robs Detector Sales. Hes a great guy and ships items very fast. Mention me and he may give you a deal.
