I received my copy and, boy is it a stunner! Sugess build quality on this watch is truly at another level: every steel surface is beautifully polished or brushed to perfection, the ceramic bezel is perfectly reflective and its markers are filled with a subtle silver metallic paint (instead of a "look at me" screaming white paint), the enamel dial has a very deep gloss, its metal sub-dial rings have very thin inner and outer polished frames while the rings themselves are multi ridged and of a matte finish. All hands and hour markers are perfectly made, clean, polished, and filled with very good lume. The only detail that is not perfectly done is the black printing on the sub-dials, which is not perfectly centered (a bit off towards 6 o'clock on mine), and the dial itself is a bit off-center (closer to the rehaut towards 12 o'clock). Sugess excels at doing thin rehauts, and this one is even thinner than their submariners'. This is not a 1 to 1 copy of the OG, though, and that's a good thing in my book: its steel bezel outer border has a different, flat profile, its case edges are done softer, its pushers lack the pair of etched rings that show up when screwed down, all in all they add up to a piece that does not draw much attention to itself the way the OG would. I only wish Sugess used an AR-coated crystal, as strong light reflections indoors will wash out the hands. Unfortunately, my copy arrived with a chronograph hour hand that stops working correctly after 3 hours of chronograph running, and then it would not reset to 0 after several verification tests. The movement does keep very good time (+5 spd), the small seconds hand glides smoothly, and it's got 60+ hours of power reserve, even with the chronograph fully running. So this copy is going back for a full refund, but I still want to try my luck again, as all Aliexpress reviews on this watch show very high customer satisfaction.
This model S418-2 has a Peacock SL-4801 Automatic Movement and it runs at 4Hz 28,800 BPH. I just ordered one with the Blue Sunburst dial, Exhibition caseback cover and waiting to be delivered.
Great watch and a great review as usual. Soon it's going to be a year since my first Sugess, the moon phase big date, and I couldn't be happier with it
That’s a beautiful watch. I know it’s essentially the only nice affordable mechanical chronograph on sale. Thanks for showing it us. I’m probably going to stick with the Seiko Quartz Chronograph for now.
Would love to see a full review on this watch, there are currently none on UA-cam. I was on the fence for one in either "Le Mans" or "Platona" colorways, but your video convinced me to get the same one as yours: black dial and ceramic bezel, as this seems to be the shinest and most "jewel-like" of the bunch, while also being the easiest to read among all the available colorways; I also chose this colorway because Sugess doesn't print the dials with thick paint, so the colorways with white numbering in the subdials (that will be the "Platona" and the pair of "Pandas") look cheap because the white numbering appears somewhat translucent.
I picked up one a while back. It was running plus 15 min a day on main time and plus 5 min over 12 hours on chrono. I assume it is magnetized, it is a secondary piece and I have not purchased a demagger yet. Overall the piece seems well made. The screw downs are slightly gritty, but what do you expect at this price point?
@stuart959 I definitely do not expect these things for the price. If it's really magnetised, then it's not a big deal. But... I doubt watches on this price can be magnetised. Perhaps defective movement?
I have the silver bezel for a month now, and loving it still. Plenty of compliments as some think it IS a rolex daytona. I mention its not and they are shocked and say " still a nice watch ". I'm curious about the movement and looking inside and see how it looks and if it needs cleaning.

Not that I know. At least in their store this model comes only with the auto movement. They've had this model with seagull movement a long ago, not anymore. I guess that one was handwinding

@@ShortBetter Ha ha, forget diving, I wouldn't go in the pool with this watch! Hell, even a cheap Pagani Daytona chronograph homage out performs the Sugess Chronograph in the water resistance department, and that's pretty sad considering the Sugess is 4 times the price of a Pagani!!
@@ShortBetter I know you don't get my point, and you probably never will, when you haven't gotten it already at this point! It is irrelevant whether I need the higher water resistance or not on this watch. I was just simply pointing out that Sugess lacks integrity in it's water resistance, which in my opinion Sugess wussed out on, period. I have the San Martin V3 SN017 watch that is 200 meters water resistance, and I may not ever use it for diving, however I like knowing I can dive with it, since after all it is a dive watch! Well, I can't say the same for the Sugess chronograph that is double the cost of my San Martin! Is my point clear now?
But the Pagani Design replica (or homage) is not automatic, it is a watch with a quartz mechanism, I think it is the VK63, a good Seiko mechanism but with a price difference compared to the SL-4801. What I would ask of the Sugess is durability (my biggest concern) as well as precision in the alignment of the hand that acts as a chronograph and, of course, in its function of telling the time. P.d Sorry for my level of English.
