Just taken delivery of my cronogaph. It's amazing. Thank you so much for your review. i can't believe i got this delivered for £360, brought in the November sale, and it feels like a 2k plus watch. It's amazing....
That’s a damn nice watch. I know the new Peacock Movement is a lot more reliable than the one it replaced. I think it’s worth the money. And I do like that it is not a direct copy of the Rolex. Thanks for the great review!
@@turnbasedtoddy7664From what I can tell, the old automatic Chronograph movement was the Dandong 4130, but this watch and the Sugess Daytona Homage both use the Dandong 4801, an updated and better version. And they call it the Peacock. Sounds better than Dandong I suppose to us non Chinese. And I’ve heard a couple reviewers now, other than Steve who feel this new one is much more reliable.
My kind sir, please stop uploading videos on a regular. I've already bought the Addiesdive AD2023 and AD2030, the Cronos Explorer, and currently contemplating on the Farasute 2260 due to your exquisite reviews. I may need to order Cathy Mitchell’s ‘Dump Dinner’ book in order to compensate for my ever so thinning wallet.
Great thorough review, that does look worth the selling price. Getting the movement serviced in the West is going to be a problem, because most watchmaker won't touch anything out of the ordinary. However, the whole watch costs less than a Daytona service, so if it lasts 10 years I think you've had value for money 👍
if it is a Legit daytona with this price i'm pretty sure 9.5 times out of 10 you're gonna buy it because it's a rolex, you know sometimes we are asking too much for the price we pay, but it's your opinion so i respect it
I'm concerned it's no longer classy or creative lol. They make great stuff, good to see some reviews. The only reason I can see that they aren't a top pick is they don't market like SM and they are a slightly higher price point but looks like they are worth it.
@@gregtolley3455 I feel like some of the money goes to the designs. If it were just a normal Daytona it wouldn't be worth it, same for their tonneau dressy watch I just reviewed. They are homaging really obscure watches, doing it with top quality, so yeah, I expect them to be up there a bit.
are the silver sub-dial hands easy to read? I have a casio MTP4500D which has silver subdial hands on black dial and I found it hard to see sometimes at certain angle or when it's low light/too much glare. From the video at 2:32 the subdial hands seem to be completely disappeared on my screen
@@patrickhartmann1540 yes, I had the last version. V2 I think. This is a nicer watch...but not by a ton. That watch was excellent. This is like a jump from sugess to San Martin.
really nice review! I've been looking into getting my own Farasute chrono however i was looking at their other version the one with the reset button inside the crown at 3. I was wondering if its legit and what type of movement allows it to have the button there? Thanks
@@that1guy910 typically a monopusher is just a little lever inside the case that clicks the button at the 2 position...I've seen monopusher on an ST19, so it's just the inner workings that allow it, not specifically the movement
Very nice looking and functioning watch. The only drawbacks for me are the price for an Ali Express piece and having it repaired under warranty. For $300 more you can buy a Jack Mason with a regulated true GMT with a warranty that works. Great review and video!
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from AMZWATCH
Great watch, the only minuses are the 50m wr ,and that the watch case is glowing heavily , and that the bezel is narrow ! Otherwise, dimension wise, it's great. And I really hate the Chinese logos , they make great watches but can't design a decent looking logo! ...much respect for paying attention to the slight misalignment of the sub dials above the center pinion 👍
People that complain farasute is not at the same level as San Martin are completely right, Farasute is probably one or two levels ABOVE San Martin's. I don't understand the fan boyerism people have towards SM, their clasps are sharp as in be careful or you might cut your skin with it!, the bracelets the same! Maybe they're supposed to double up as razors or something, their cases the same, those lugs are a weapon. I don't know if it's because they're barely meeting demand with their "pottery dials" or what but those in 42mm (i.e. the new ones) are the worst offenders! That is really bad because that is probably their only original design. Farasute on the other hand are like the hot, hot quiet librarian that doesn't try to be something else.😂 Sure they have homages but have mainly og designs or at least half and half and not of the same old trite submariners! So, again, Farasute is NOT at the level of SM, THEY'RE ABOVE! Why? Because I've said so (above)! 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
They shouldn't call the movement 4130 but Faux-tyOneThihty (yeah, no r is pronounced in propah English😅) because it's NOT a "real" 4130! The bridge is different and 4130 is a Rolex movement mainly (as in only) found in Rolex Daytonas. Hence naming it that is a HUGE mistake because it's immediately associated with Faux-olex Faketonas as in fake, faux, non-genuine, illegal replica watches! And while that in itself is a great achievement of the Chinese companies that produce these movements (dadong if I'm not mistaken), the fact that replicas are illegal in most places is something that Farasute might want to run away from. Probably calling them "DaDong Faux-ty One Thihty" would do it 😅😅 but doubt it and it UNNECESSARILY takes awayother from these very good watches! (I would probably ask the movement maker to add a D or an F in front of the 4130 or frankly sand or file it off altogether!
Very nice watch but Farasute is generally too expensive for being a Chinese product. For that price you can get a Seiko Prospex Speedtimer. Which is solar quartz though, but I have my doubts about the longevity of Chinese movements, especially when they are complicated like this one.
@@peachlandtaxi919 I understand. I was just staying there is a need, and it's to make room for other internal components. I doubt it was strictly aesthetics
Just buy a Seiko for that price. I understand that it "looks" like a nice watch, but at the end of the day it is worthless. Or save up and grab a nice classic Tudor watch or even a Longines for not that much more.
@@lazyrider6918 As a watch person you should also know that a Seiko literally has worse specs, quality and finishing than many microbrands out there that are cheaper than Seiko. If you care more about the name on the watch than what the watch actually delivers, then sure, buy a Seiko. If a Seiko were to make this watch with this movement then they would charge you probably 2k+ lmao. The brand name "Farasute" is dogshit though, I'll give you that.

This watch was on the verge of being too perfect for this world so they messed up the tachymeter scale to say 55 and 50 instead of 550 and 500
I now understand the history behind this lettering, it is now an 11/10
