Spot on. You have to have a strategy. I drive part-time. Was going to trade my car for Tesla to get the extra bonuses but with them changing the EV bonus it sucks. I don't drive that much and don't want to commit to driving that much. They are really screwing drivers. I found a spot where I do $3.50 - $5.00 rides for about 3 miles BUT usually get $3-$5 in tips. My income now averages 30-40% coming from tips!!!!
Right now there are too many drivers - happens during summer and holidays. They know this.

Who needs a Tesla when you've got those awesome tip earnings? Maybe you should stick with your current car and just put a "Tip Magnet" sign on it!

Because I have experience that others can benefit from to make money on those apps. I go where the money is and right now there is more money for less miles in grocery delivery in my city. So when I drive I mainly do that and just a little Lyft and Uber. If it doesn't make me at least $40 bucks an hour it is not something I will spend much time with. Everyone has different goals though.
