Kudos to you for learning Morse code. I know it's not a language but learning something like Morse code or languages like Mandarin or French is a way of opening up, giving things a chance, and evolving. Those who know nothing of foreign languages know nothing of their own. Language is the road map of a culture. It tells you where its people come from and where they are going. I ride A LOT of Uber and the drivers are always thankful they don’t have to tell me how to get in and out. 😂 Some of the men will reach over and open the door automatically though. Since Uber has this deal with Tesla, they should input a pop up that explains how to get in and out when you get someone with a Tesla.

One of the things that bother me the most is when a passenger sits in the front seat specially when is just them. It shows very little social intelligence. Why do you need to sit in the closest space next to a complete stranger in practically a box. I keep my front door locked, and I tell them to go to the back if they try to open it. If they don’t like it they can kick rocks.
I recieved $350 promotion one week for completing 30 trips. It was awesome, but now the promotions are like $15 to $50 depending on which quest you choose.

The window tip was great advice. I've been doing Uber for about 3 weeks now. And i've had At least 3 passengers who smelled really bad. One smell all like cigarettes which is not nearly as bad as the other 2. Who smelled like terrible body odor it was the worst I've ever smelled. i haven't gotten an uber quest in over a year now which sucks. so my average earnings is $22-25/hr after electricity expense for charging. i'd say it depends on what kind of car (gas expense), how much you care about it (damage from passengers) and how long you'll keep it (resale value). mine has been very beat up from people's shoes, bags, keys. and the increased wear and tear plus now it has a ton of miles so the value is lower. overall, it's been worth it for me, i started doing these apps in order to keep my head above water last year. so this is the preferred outcome versus having to sell it to cover my other debts! personally, i wouldn't want to uber with a brand new car while also working fulltime. i imagine it may be more valuable to focus on scaling the business to generate an extra $600/mo instead of cutting into your freetime or worktime

@@postnutregret I haven't seen a two-hour promotional drive. Unless in the last two hours, he finalizes the quest of 50 with a few leftover rides and closes the bonus. Or it might be different in different cities out of my knowledge. Nevertheless, the frenzy of Social Media titling and presenting is most of the time very misleading and unviable.
@@GoHerping yes it is indeed an interesting way to make money on the side as well because you are just trying all games for maybe 10 to 20 minutes and accumulating
If I'm doing a quest like in this video, pretty much ignore it and go for the shortest rides possible. when I don't have a quest, I shoot for about $1 a mile, sometimes a little less. Most people will say that isn't enough, but most trips around here are pretty long
Now Uber is trying to let you make $22/hr in LA with Tesla. You spent long hours of waiting time to make $700/ week in LA with Tesla. If you don’t mind taking UberX share ride, you mind make more money with Tesla. Don’t forget your insurance cost for Tesla. Even regular driving range will cost you staring from $3000. If you tell your insurance company you will use it commercially, it will start from $5000 just car insurance alone.
Uber has a built in map, I assume it's just a version of google maps. but I often put the address into Tesla nav, if passengers want the car to drive itself to their destination

Hello, am coming to Ontario Canada as an international student please which apps and car is good for Uber? Thanks.
I also drive a model 3 for Uber and having to instruct every person how to get in and out is Soo annoying. I put stickers on my door handle so I can say "push the red dot with your thumb and grab the black piece with your fingers"
that's pretty clever lol
Hi Alex what dash cam do you use
its a vantrue from Amazon :) geni.us/GHdashcam
No way normally a driver earns 150 or so in the matter of 2 hours. If you get lucky or a premium ride or an x ride, it still doesn't add up to that.
He shows it was a promotion do 5 rides get an extra $100 Bucks
@@postnutregret I haven't seen a two-hour promotional drive. Unless in the last two hours, he finalizes the quest of 50 with a few leftover rides and closes the bonus. Or it might be different in different cities out of my knowledge. Nevertheless, the frenzy of Social Media titling and presenting is most of the time very misleading and unviable.
Never take 6 passengers in a vehicle with less than 6 seatbelts. You can get a ticket.
Who TF gets in the front seat of their Uber lol
I use to uber before covid and if it was a single rider more then half jumped in the front seat
Weird as F

Great video overall have you tried downloading apps like play well to make money while you're just chilling
I've never heard of that but it looks ridiculously sketchy lol. I normally respond to emails or youtube comments if there's downtime though
@@GoHerping yes it is indeed an interesting way to make money on the side as well because you are just trying all games for maybe 10 to 20 minutes and accumulating
I thought that was like a known no no in getting in the front seat. That seems awkward
Do you need special plates to do Uber in your state? In NYC you need special taxi plates to do Uber
no, you just need an Uber sticker and a paper on your windshield with your plate number if you're doing airport pickups
5:15 the infrared on her phone confused me for like 10 seconds
What's the rules on filming customers?
When you are trying to decide whether to accept a ride what is your per mile dollar amount your looking for?
Where is this now man :(
You should explain to your audience that this offer 100 for 5 trips is ones a life is not ever day or every week
u can see me replying to all the comments saying that. i was a brand new driver at the time of filming, so i had no frame of reference
How’s possible ? Whats your uber rank. gold, plat or diamond ?
i still haven't gotten another quest offer like this one, my rank is blue at the moment but I think it was gold during this video
How in the world do you get quests like that?
i don't know lmao. been ubering for a full year now and never got a quest since this video, i assumed at the time that they were more common
What do you use for GPS?
Uber has a built in map, I assume it's just a version of google maps. but I often put the address into Tesla nav, if passengers want the car to drive itself to their destination
Your luck it take me 6 hours to make 150. Along with too many miles on my car.
What camera do you use to record???
the dashcam is a vantrue, handheld is a sony zv-1. they're linked in the description too :)
@@GoHerpingthank you where do you plug it in a Tesla?
@@Chipinitv it's just a usb c so it can go in and of the ports. though mine is plugged into the center console cigarette lighter so i have the other ones open for phones
Cool video alex!
Yay! I enjoy these videos.
Ahhh a front seat sitter! I didn’t know they existed still.
Edit: interesting take!
They arent wearing seatbelts!
Where is this
Where are you driving uber ?
raleigh nc
always hype when new video
TAKE OUT DEORECIATIKN ON YOUR CAR, MAINTAINENCE, GAS, INSURANCE.
YOU ARENT.MAKING SHIT.
UBER IS UNSUSTAINABLE.
the US has a 62.5 cent tax deduction per mile, that covers pretty much every vehicle's gas/maintenance, unless you're using a supercar
I hate when people try to sit in my front seat.. no sir, get in the back
I bet it's annoying explaining how to open the doors every single time.
How I never get that kind of quest ???
its been half a year and I haven't gotten any other quests since! No idea why I got this one
I have been doing Uber over 5 years I had some rude n drunk n smelly n friendly customers! I do Uber n Lyft on the side
The constant struggle for people to understand his car 😂
Lmaoo ...I work on these cars and customers still don't know how to use them
unfortunately, they dont have quest like this or them at all in Indiana 😩
i never got a quest like this again sadly
Yea those quest back in the day were lit!
Yeah, but what do you make the rest of the time?
usually i make $150-175 a night in 5-6 hours if i do college campuses. but since students are on break, im making more like 20/hr
*blonk twice, mouths halp *
Hi bro where are you doing uber?
central NC
They must have not had anybody to drive for Uber in that area so they needed to provide a heavy incentive hence those kind of promotions. I’m in So Calif but east of Los Angeles and I have never seen those kind of offers. It’s usually $15 for 20 trips which is a joke. I have heard from veteran Uber drivers that the promotions USED to be good. But these rideshare companies are practically bleeding money trying to survive. Awesome deal for you tho. 🎉
As a chick, anyone tries to get in my passenger seat…. They will be quickly redirected to the back seat. No way….
makes sense. i do appreciate when passengers ask the driver where they should sit, regardless of the driver's preference
