As for Arven holding the Pokeball upside down, I do believe its a neat little detail that the developers added since Arven stated before that he isnt really that good in Pokemon battles thus even his handling of Pokeballs is bad.
And also his Special Art Rare card in Paldean Fates have the rivals/SV partners interacting with Poke balls, but with Arven's card (and only Arven's) the poke ball in his card is upside-down! It's a very neat detail.
Also yes. Paradox Pokémon are all from a past and a future that can never be. It's not that they came from a time before unicelular organisms but more so that it's impossible for them to have existed then, yet, they exist. That's the paradox. Pokémon that shouldn't exist but yet, exist.
My headcanon is, Scream Tail came from an alternate timeline where their Earth cooled earlier than our base timeline. When we just entered Protozeroic, Scream Tail's timeline is already in their early Cenozoic era.
They come from realities where their aesthetic just happens to resemble a beastly past or cyberpunk future. The paradox Pokémon exist as they are just like the ones in the main timeline. So yes, in the Beast one there may very well be Dittos and a Mewtwo, while in the Cyberpunk one there’s Aerodactyl or Girantina. Evolution in those realities just took a different path than the main continuity.
This generation is yet the biggest existential dread causer of this franchise. The Bootstrap Paradox literally implied you caused bliss and misery to happen to different characters and you've done it to Arven and Kieran. And since Bootstrap and Timeloop were a thing in this game, therefore everytime someone makes a save file in SV, a new loop occurs to Florian/Juliana's life and they are bound to repeat the sequence of pain and joys with slight deviation. Putting an emphasis on that "rinse and repeat” remix Toby Fox made from Sheeran's song.
Or even the Golett line, or the Claydol line, which are animated statues moved by an unknown energy or given life by an astral power. Artificial AND inorganic Pokemon are a thing. Even the Regis are artificial, even if not man-made.
Too add more on the fact that your character is from Galar, if you spin around the joystick to spin(which is necessary to evolve Milcery), your character would actually try to do Leon's Charizard pose and fail. As we know, Leon is the famous champion from Galar and his Charizard pose is quite iconic in that region. Your character from Sword and Shield can perfectly perform the Charizard pose.
@@g_4sp Yeah....thats why its called...the...charizard...pose....👀 Someone from Galar (SwSh) does it well. While someone from Galar who moved to Paldea (SV) knows it but fails to do it. Of course its a different pose in Alola.
To be fair, most Pokemon just say their name as a means of speaking and communication so I really dont blame her for assuming that Koraidon/Miraidon's name is "Agias". Fun fact, did you know that the origin of Koraidon/Miraidon's name in the game is lost in a paradox? Who told you Koraidon/Miraidon's name? It was Arven. Who told Arven its name? Most likely Sada/Turo Who told Sada/Turo Koraidon/Miraidon's name? It was you, the player, who told Sada/Turo that Winged King/Iron Serpent's name is Koraidon/Miraidon. It happened when you met the Professor from the past back at Kitakami lake. So......who really named it Koraidon/Miraidon? How did it start? Its all...a Paradox. Edit: I wrote this comment before watching the whole video

15:19 its theorized that these were the items that would automatically activate the Protosynthesis/Quark Drive abilities of Paradox Pokemon, the orange crystal being for Protosynthesis and the Purple Stone being for Quark Drive. However, its likely they scrapped both in favor of one item, Booster Energy, likely to prevent competitive players from getting auto boosts on two separate Paradoxes in a single match.
Quaxily being Brazilian in the Spanish region makes as much sense as Copperaja being Indian in a British region. They were both colonized by the region they take after.
Fun fact, in Kieran's Champion battle theme, after the opening, there's a part that sounds like the battle theme of the Royal Three I would say it might be a nod to the (now debunked) fan theory that Kieran was also possessed by Pecharunt
Balltoy was the first inorganic Pokémon created by humans so the future paradox mons should still be considered real Pokémon. Also similar mons like Megnaton and Steelix. Other rock and steal types too sometimes don’t seem to have any organic matter.
12:23 The anime contradicted this a few times. Outside of Mewtwo and the dubiously canon movies, the only example I can think of is the trio of evil malamar though.
Two things on what makes this a unique Pokemon story. At least in my opinion 1. There is literally no evil villain in this story. -The desire of Sada/Turo to explore Area Zero and to know more about the Paradox Pokemon isnt inherently evil but it was still selfish as it put Paldea at risk and she/he basically neglected Arven in the process -Team star isnt evil, they are just bullied and was labeled as problematic by the school(like how irl schools always protect the bully and punish the victims. Which is BS) as soon as they opted to stand for themselves -Pechurant only wanted to make the old couple happy but it took it too far that his allies (which was under Pechurant's control) accidentally killed Ogerpon's original trainer. (The entire story of Pechurant was not in the game but it was uploaded in a video by the official Pokemon channel) -Kieran got obsessed with getting stronger but after the events of the DLC and the Epilouge, he is aiming to improve his relationship with other people now instead of solely focusing on winning. If you beat him on an optional rematch at the League club room, he congratulates you and he is no longer mad about losing anymore. 2. The fact that you as the protagonist unknowingly created a paradox thus basically being the indirect root cause of most of Paldea's events. Biar's book was written thanks to your adventures together in area Zero allowing her to observe the paradox Pokemon, the time machine and Terapagos. However, her book wouldnt exist were it not for the professor's notes, research and time machine that were left behind. However, the whole research, time machine and progress in exploring Area Zero were only successful and completed thanks to Briar's book from the future that Sada/Turo received at Kitakami lake (She/He even stated in her/his notes at the desk on your way to terapagos that She/He met someone(the player) at Kitakami lake) So which came first? The completed time machine and research? Or Briar's book? Both wouldnt be able to exist were it not for the information provided by the other. Prof's research led to Briar writing her book. However Briar's book was used by Sada/Turo to complete her/his research! Its a paradox which the player himself/herself created by simply giving Briar's book from the future to the professor from the past! So basically, the protagonist is the indirect cause of the following. -Arven's dog almost dying -Putting Paldea at risk as the Paradox Pokemon may destroy the present's ecosystem(This was never resolved by the way. The paradox Pokemon are still in Area Zero and the place is still off limits due to obvious reasons) -Sada/Turo's death as the teritorrial battle between the two Koraidon/Miraidon caused the death of Sada/Turo prior to the events of the game -Sada/Turo being so invested in the research that she/he ended up disregarding Arven even more(Even prior to giving Sada/Turo Briar's book, She/He is already disregarding Arven but giving the book only made it worse) Seriously though, this Gen, despite its flaws(which are many), is probably the best Gen when it comes to story telling. Theres no lets stop the evil team and save the region. Too bad most of the problems were cause by you as the player though. That shit was rough. Imagine how Arven would react if he finds out. 💀
I really like team star. A lot of people say it's a stupid villain team, and sure, it isn't the most threatening, it's better than sw/sh! Also it is sadly realistic, schools don't deal with bullying well. I love how they were like hey. Don't answer bullying with bullying! It's a simple lesson but it's a good one. Also, the character designs were so good, I love the revaroom cars, and the auto battle sections in the bases were really fun in my opinion!
Definitely a quite unique story in comparison to other generations. The time traveling, the whole story being a bootstrap paradox, the freedom I personally experienced with the game and other elements made it feel like a fresh game to me. Obviously, it has its many flaws, but it was quite enjoyable to explore the lore of the games and put the in the iceberg. Thanks for your comment!
It would have been a lot better if they focused the entire story on the past professor's and didn't ram it into the final 1 hour of the game. I think Arven and Penny's stories would have been better as side stories and not as the main content of the game. Also it is weird to me that even though SV is technically the largest region we have played in Pokemon it feels so small for some reason. I don't like how empty the world feels. Random square shaped towns in the middle of nowhere with completely undeveloped land right next to all of them. I much prefer the 2D games regions because they feel more lived in. Even sw/sh's region feels a lot more lively.
18:27 It's also not clear if they're even real or if the "time machine" made them up based on the information from the Scarlet and Violet books. The future ones in particular are pretty sus because how could people know about creatures that don't exist yet? The causality paradox doesn't adequately explain this (in fact it only raises more questions) because the book had to originally come from somewhere to start the loop.
Hmm... So people in pokemon world call our letters an ancient language. Paradox jigglypuff is so old... That is making the pokemon world faaaaar away in the future.
Being completely inorganic doesn't mean its not a Pokemon... Porygon is a Pokemon just as much as anything else, yet its COMPLETELY man-made. Magnemite is also made of entirely metal. So no, having organic parts doesn't determine whether or not its a Pokemon.
Thanks a lot for the support! I really appreciate that you also watch my videos in English. I hope it doesn't discourage you from watching the ones in Spanish when they come out! Have an awesome day!
well we have 9 generations of pokemon over. Good job for taking all that time and effort to make pokemon ice bergs! Are you going to cover other franchieses or are you going to make pokemon spin off ice bergs?
That's an excellent question. I might publish a poll and see what you all say, but I have the feeling I might continue with Pokémon icebergs and videos about the franchise. Thanks a lot for watching my icebergs!
@@RealEisenBerg Not sure if you are into Zelda, but an iceberg video on each Zelda game would be cool. There are a lot of them on Ocarina of Time and specific Zelda games, but there are other Zelda games that barely get talked about.
Pretty sure the Paradox Pokemon aren't even real in the first place... That's why they're called "Paradox Pokemon." They come from a past or future that doesn't actually exist.
This ice berg was really good I enjoyed it. I would say Scarlet and Violet are some of my favourite Pokémon games not my absolute favourite but still good I think if it looked better had a lot less glitches and actually good Pokémon I think it could probably be better than black and white. I really do like the Paradox at the very end of the game where you meet the professor it's an amazing end to the game I think the final part of the DLC was really good fun and difficult and the fact that they took some risks by adding titian Pokémon and the team star bases also made a really interesting mythical that was a story event rather than a random mystery gift distribution made it a really good game. I really wonder what is the hint to the next mainline game? I have been studying the map and looking at every little bit I have found 1 thing that being a picture of what looks like an evolution of some sorts to sunflorer in Mezagoza. I have really enjoyed this series and hope to see an iceberg on gen 10 (when it comes out of course) I also have a suggestion of doing a Pokémon go Iceberg I do love Pokémon go and it is one of my favourite Pokémon games (better than some mainline games).
It's probably the first mindblower I've ever seen in a Pokémon game. I guess not too many people get to experience it first-hand due to not everyone purchasing the DLC or watching videos on UA-cam, but it was quite enjoyable. There are a lot of topics to explore in this generation, and I hope many themes explored in Scarlet and Violet continue with future generations. About the Pokémon Go iceberg, it's been on the drawing board since the beginning of the channel, and it's definitely something that will happen, as well as generation 10 when it comes out and other Pokémon-related icebergs). Have a good one!
my headcanon for the paradox realities is that it's "technically" timetravel, however the AI scientist simply became more fanatical and lifelike as the crystals enhanced its own tech, becoming almost human-like. in reality, the usage of terapagos crystals with the "time machine" simply pushed up inaccessible realities within the range where SV takes place; but also link them in terms of time placement, essentially transporting that entire universe from the distant past/future. backstory-wise, some other highly-advanced civilisation would've pillaged Scarlet's paradox world for their infinity energy but escaped when the local wildlife became too feral to control. whereas Violet's paradox world was suffering a population/resource crisis; so they helped the local pokemon, unintentionally altering their path of evolution. the omission of Victini and Celebi from being able to be transferred to SV, probably implying that they're being saved for ZA, same with the XY legends. I'd imagine it like sorting food in the fridge, and planning to eat it from earliest to latest, but then you take one of the later items and eat it alongside with something you'd eat today.
I’d imagine future paradox Pokemon were the result of humans giving their Pokemon increased cybernetic enhancements to better perform certain tasks or get an edge in battle. Eventually, enough of these cyborg Pokemon got loose and quickly out-competed their native counterparts in the future to the point that completely organic Pokemon are either extinct or endangered. Essentially, they are a human-made invasive species.
I'm sure robots (future paradox) can be considered a Pokémon. Things that are Pokémon: human spirits, artificially made either physically or cyberly, objects, aliens, technology, food and interdimensional beings
The best part about SV is how much of a cakewalk it is to make perfect Pokemon. Everything from EV training to natures, leveling, ect. is so easy that you can fill your boxes with perfect mons that you'll have for any future generation.
The fact that you can manipulate natures with mints and hyper train Pokémon at level 50 instead of 100 like in Sun and Moon is also crazy. Very easy to train Pokémon.
those unused items have to be evolution items to evolve Cyclizar into Miridon and Karidon but they probably changed the plot and took away the baby legendary form and made it into a roaming common pokemon.
As a Pokémon veteran since red and blue, honestly if Scarlet and Violet performed better (less lag and slightly nicer looking/ less empty overworld) these would be the best Pokemon games beating out HGSS which I believe to be the best Pokemon games to date.
18:20 Or it could be that since those descriptions are from a "dubious magazine" then the information is just completely made up and not based in reality like conspiracy theories
The weirdes game in the series but I'll be damned if I said I didn't enjoy it despite the messy release. I put over 1000 hours on it playing on stream with friends. Hunting shiny on top of story and competitive. Gamefreak and TPC have lots to improve but the union circle addition made me enjoy the game far more than I ever had. I felt connected directly to others
Just saying penny is def not champion level. Wouldn’t even give her a gym role lol she’s just your average nobody trainer, which sucks cus I really wanted to like her.
The only Pokémon game I didnt finish. Not only was it not challenging, but it was boring. Long stretches of land with nothing in it worthwhile. I don't think mainline Pokémon games were meant to be open world, but I might have had a different opinion if it was made better. I even did a challenge run as my first playthrough, as an all fire type team, and my pokemon were hitting level 50 around 1/3 of the way through the game.
I guess the easiest definition for a Pokémon is everything that can be caught in a Pokéball whether it is a digital Pokémon or robot. Thanks for the comment!
ESG/DEI is the Pokémon series' downfall. Studio Pierrot recently support anime being anime to never be altered when being brought to other countries. That even shows that people worldwide respect even Pokémon as a Japanese series it once was. Any artistic expression should never be restricted as people are fine with fantasy being fun escapism, rather than being like reality nor out of worry of offending people who are not in the demographic. People look at Japanese stuff for Japanese stuff. There is already US stuff available in the US that people can get.
I think Genesect is not completely robotic. I would assume that once revived from that fossil Pokémon he would have preserved some organic parts, but no one can tell for sure. Same with future Paradox Pokémon, until GF says something about them we won't know for sure. Have a nice day!

I'd imagine it like sorting food in the fridge, and planning to eat it from earliest to latest, but then you take one of the later items and eat it alongside with something you'd eat today.
pecharunt is the purest lil guy
Battle facility exists in Legends: Arceus, which is a main series game
Klefki, magnemite, metal in general are not pokemon?
" Cool " (because " iceberg, lol)! If You do it for all the gen slowly bit surely, like You know, take your time as well and I'll view them all!
Please make an Iveberg for pokemon collosuem and xd gale of darkness. Would love to see that
I'm sure robots (future paradox) can be considered a Pokémon. Things that are Pokémon: human spirits, artificially made either physically or cyberly, objects, aliens, technology, food and interdimensional beings
It does make sense! But then we would need to have a strict definition of what a Pokémon is. Have a nice day!
Oh Scar Vi, such a beautiful disaster!
Been waiting on this
Dude, I really appreciate the amount of research you put into these videos, like how do you find these things😅
After 9 generations of Pokémon icebergs, I still wonder the same 😁Have a nice week!
I've been waiting my whole life for this 🥹🥹
yaay new video!
I agree. I filled nearly 12 boxes of battle worthy mon. @@RealEisenBerg
The demon Nemona in the video.
Being waiting for this, should be interesting
those unused items have to be evolution items to evolve Cyclizar into Miridon and Karidon but they probably changed the plot and took away the baby legendary form and made it into a roaming common pokemon.
let's flippin' GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
For the ancient megas lopunny also has hidden fighting power similar to salamance and Aradactyl that it mastered
Amazing video
As a Pokémon veteran since red and blue, honestly if Scarlet and Violet performed better (less lag and slightly nicer looking/ less empty overworld) these would be the best Pokemon games beating out HGSS which I believe to be the best Pokemon games to date.
16:13 anyone else saw Nemona's jiggle?
great video!
Thanks a lot! I hope you enjoyed.
18:20 Or it could be that since those descriptions are from a "dubious magazine" then the information is just completely made up and not based in reality like conspiracy theories
Porygon exists so this theory is busted
the regis should have been in this game
could armored mewtwo be the first future paradox pokemon?
The weirdes game in the series but I'll be damned if I said I didn't enjoy it despite the messy release. I put over 1000 hours on it playing on stream with friends. Hunting shiny on top of story and competitive.
Gamefreak and TPC have lots to improve but the union circle addition made me enjoy the game far more than I ever had. I felt connected directly to others
Yeah Porygon totally isn't a pokémon
Megnemite.. ghost pokes.. I’m sure we could think of more if we tried
Finally bee waiting on this one
What was Scarlet doing in the thumbnail?
Just saying penny is def not champion level. Wouldn’t even give her a gym role lol she’s just your average nobody trainer, which sucks cus I really wanted to like her.
Pokémon dash iceberg pls
If you're saying future Paradox Pokemon aren't Pokemon, then you also have to say Porygon and Magearna aren't Pokemon.
Oh yes.
pls do 2 gen shiny dex
The only Pokémon game I didnt finish. Not only was it not challenging, but it was boring. Long stretches of land with nothing in it worthwhile. I don't think mainline Pokémon games were meant to be open world, but I might have had a different opinion if it was made better.
I even did a challenge run as my first playthrough, as an all fire type team, and my pokemon were hitting level 50 around 1/3 of the way through the game.
Artificial pokemon are still pokemon
Case in point: Porygon. All the way back in gen 1
I guess the easiest definition for a Pokémon is everything that can be caught in a Pokéball whether it is a digital Pokémon or robot. Thanks for the comment!
So Violet or Scarlet is from galar
So, we are the reason that Arven lost his parent(s)?
At least in a different timeline, yes
All paradox pokemon come from people imaginations not recreations of any past or present pokemon
What does that have to do with anything??
Isn't Genesect also artificial though? Mewtwo gets a pass because of having Mew dna I guess. But genesect?
I think Genesect is not completely robotic. I would assume that once revived from that fossil Pokémon he would have preserved some organic parts, but no one can tell for sure. Same with future Paradox Pokémon, until GF says something about them we won't know for sure.
Have a nice day!
READ ME- YOU CAN DISAGREE BUT SCARLET AND VIOLET ARE THE BEST POKEMON GAMES, WE'VE EVER RECEIVED (GAMEPLAY/STORY WISE).
love the story but if it wasn’t so laggy i’d prefer it over bw & bw2. dont care about the graphics i just wish i was able to walk around normally
Story? Yeah.
Gameplay!? Lmao! No.
disagree
Sorry but I refuse to believe Darkrai is evil after Rise of Darkrai lol
Well, Giratina is seen smiling at the end of its movie. For those who think Giratina is the devil. Greetings!
