- Per request, I revisit the PSA Gen 3 PA-10 chambered in .308. I cover my experience with it over the last 2 years and finally get to do an accuracy test with 5 different loads.
I used your videos as part of my research for a AR-10. Bought gen3 in 20" ss. Amazing gun for the money. Used as an overwatch. Haven't missed yet. Would recommend.

I LOVE mine, but the ammo so expensive that I’ve never really tested it with multiple shots or mag dumps or anything like that, but It’s one of my favorite rifles!

I use a straight bow Larue MBT two stage trigger and pistol grip.
Installed a LMT muzzle break. My PSA likes 168 grain Sierra MatchKings. ( I reload.) I have a Arken on mine for glass. Went with a SH4 Gen II. Great scope for the money. Mine has a twenty inch barrel. Sub moa. 😊
Thanks for the review. I have a small channel too, so giving you a new sub. I have one of these coming - in two parts - complete lower to my ffl and upper to me. Mine has the newer handguard with three screws and I think an anti=rotation tab. I'm seeing that these seem to shoot some loads really well and others, pretty bad. I'm pretty happy with 1.2" ish groups at 100 yards - totally acceptable for a DM role. Think 6" at 500 yards. Which is fine. The challenge will be testing ammo that I can only get in bulk... might have to just handload. I can crank out 500 rounds once I get the right loading and bullet seating depth.

I absolutely love mine. I have the exact same scope on it too. Early 2024 this package was right at $1,800 (all in) due to inflation. Get this gun and scope.

I have the Gen 2 with the 20 inch barrel, shoots and has been reliable. Nice review and filming.
Thank you. That's good to hear. I think the only issue I saw reported with the 2nd Gen was the adjustable gas block not having a detent and the screw backing out over time. Have you experienced that?
@@airborneivan if mine has an adjustable gas block I was not aware of it, will have to golook now.
It doesn't have one, but has not been an issue.

Gen 2’s didn’t come with an adjustable gas block. I own the Gen 2 and 3, both have been great. The Gen 2 won’t cycle reliably suppressed, unless you make adjustments to the gun. I love them both though!
When Nutnfancy tested his pa-10, he had the same results with PMC Bronze. If it's shooting cheap ammo that well, there has to be a magical premium load out there for it. All I can find consistently at the BX on base is Agulia 150gr .308 and federal fusion but I'll let you know how it does when I stock enough ammo to go out and shoot a few times.
Aguila was the 1st load that I was able to shoot when I got the rifle. Consistently gave me 2 moa. I would imagine Hornady Match, Federal Gold Medal Match, Gorilla ammunition, etc, will have a load that is sub moa out of this rifle. All things aside, what I got on paper right now is enough to get me out to 800 yds reliably and save money in the process.
@@airborneivan Over 100 rounds through her now. Fount that Norma 150 grain soft points (the elk box) for hunting were 1.5 moa from my shooting. I'm positive I could get it at or under 1 moa with a better trigger and some more practice. Maybe even with just more practice. Mine came with the nickel coated mil spec trigger. Anyways, that norma load is affordable and widely available. I recommend it!

Just installed a magpul prs lite stock. And upgraded to a Riton Conquer 7 rifle scope 4-32X56.
How do you like the PSR Lite stock?
Just got one, I have a red dot and magnifier coming in tomorrow. Will test soon. Have a bunch if surplus ammo will see how this goes.
Heck, you can get PMC bronze for 75 to 80 cpr. Just stick with that all day long!
I just ordered one of their complete lowers and over the next few months I hope to have it all together. I do own an ArmaLite ar10B stripped receiver I want to build some time but jeez it's going to be pretty expensive.

Great review! My PSA 10 bought on Black Friday 2019 and is still shooting.... Although the Walmart Federal/Winchester M80 FMJ's have wide as all get out groupings so I just shoot that for fun... Federal Fusion at 150 grain and their Power Shok at 150 grain does well...

@@zxppyslayz4466 At the time after Thanksgiving 2019, my PSA 10 costs $899.99 plus military discount and taxes the rifle costs under "$1,000.00 (cost $979.34 as I still have the receipt stapled to the manual). Yes it was worth waiting for at the time before the "Commie virus" set in (or released by said China commies) the next year 2020....
I HAVE A GEN 3 WITH 20" HEAVY SS BARREL . I GOT IT TO GO LONG HAVE HAD IT OUT TO 500 NO PROBLEM . I FOUND THAT FEDERAL 147 BALL IS ACCURATE I USE HORNADY WHEN THE SHOTS COUNT .

I just got one about a month ago. Put 80 rounds through it no issues. Complete lower bought for $220 and a blemished complete upper for $550 .

@jpennel25 for me, PMC Bronze 147gr. It was super consistent with my barrel and gave me 1 moa.

you better hope you don't have issues as my barrel but came loose and I still can't get PSA to return a call and the email isn't being allowed by PSA so it's just been an absolute nightmare. Not buying from them again
Barrel nut came loose??? How did you find that? Was the handguard twisting side to side? I just spoke to someone at psa today.no issues getting through.
@@airborneivan the accuracy started to degrade and I grabbed the suppressor and saw the palmetto stamping on the top of the barrel move slightly. I took the handguard off and found the barrel nut loose. I get through on the phone but emails and return emails have been the issue in communication
@Info Not Wars damn. Did try try torquing the barrel nut to spec and seeing if it maintained its lock up?

according to PSA, the gun w/o the can is shooting quite well according to them. I just took the can off and shoot it the way it is. It isn't a custom gun so I guess I expected too much.
So, you end up sending back to PSA? What did they do?

FAB makes a GL shock stock that has a shock absorber built in, i was going to try that out for my 308
I seen that. Not sure how much of that .308 recoil it will take up but it's an interesting concept. If you get one, let me know how it works out.
@@airborneivan I have one for my AK47 already...it's nice to feel the gun spring loaded to your shoulder. I think it would help with the 308 for sure, it's the first upgrade I plan to make...along with the FAB foregrip/bipod combo

If you get MOA with a 308 AR, you're doing well. That Colt is junk. Never seen it work in 9mm or 40 either
The rifle is very good.
Accuracy is cool, but let’s see a video at 2000 and 3000 rounds. And tell us what’s had to be done to it and what’s had to be replaced. After 700 is when these seem to start have issues and your at 650 rounds.
@HatsuneM1ku01 I didn't have any issues. I got to about 1200 rds, maybe a hair over. There are no issues to speak of, but it's PSA, and their QC is hit and miss. Maybe I got lucky. I sold the rifle when I was buying my house, so I won't be able to tell beyond the 1200 rds.
What scope you have in there and what are you planning to up grade to?
Currently, Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16x44 FFP with their EBR-2C (Mil Rad) reticle. I plan to replace it with the Arken Optics EP5 5-25x56 FFP with their VPR Mil reticle.

Not always true. 5 shot groups sub moa at 650 with my pa10 yesterday. I've heard horror stories of some but mine shoots almost perfect with hornady match 168.
@@knivesnknivescsgo7428 that’s pretty good then ur is a shooter, and yes 168 amax is the most accurate round I’ve ever shot from my .308 also
@@knivesnknivescsgo7428 Yeah I got pretty good accuracy out of mine and 175 is all I've loaded for. Cheap steel ammo not so much but what do you expect there.
