I was led to this video for a reason! This is the story of my life, when dealing with people who "Look" like me. "All skin folk ain't your kin folk!" This saying has proven to be true.. Trust me, I LOVE being black but hatred is a big problem in our community. Even as a child I always had a hard time connecting with my cousins, etc. And I was always gaslit and made to look like I was the problem, when I would bring it up. Even in my 40s I'm still bothered by it.. I was always told I talked white and was constantly attacked for having a different taste in music and films. To this day, I still feel the "evil eye" when I come in contact with my people. Due to My line of work, I have to interact with US but it's not always pleasant. The conversations are always like, "You talk so white" "You ain't from around here" "I bet yo wife is white", etc. Just ignorance.. *Sigh* Keep up the good Work brother!!
@@ButterCookie1984 I remember how shocked everyone was when they found out that Harrison Barnes's wife was black. Everyone automatically assumed his wife was white just because he talks proper.
I got bullied for so called "acting too white". It's so delusional and confusing. I don't wear blonde hair, I don't wear blue eye contacts, I don't bleach my skin, but somehow I come across as wanting to be white? I beg your pardon?
Shout out to the great elder Mr Neely Fuller Jr. and thank you Big Ward for this most important topic. I am a 65 year old black man and I talk about this all the time with friends and family members. I once upon a time lived amongst my people , and I began to realize that there was something wrong with us. Why should we have to be fearful of our own people ? Something is definitely wrong. I moved away a number of years ago to a community that is about 94% white. There is no such place as paradise, but living away from our own people is often times much better. We are jealous and we are envious of each other. We as a people can’t stand to see another black person with something they don’t have. I hate to say it but it is true. Leaving the hood was one of the best things I ever did. White people might not like you but they don’t bother you. With our own people the crab in a barrel effect is all to real.
If you live around all white people I'm 💯 percent sure you are one of those blacks like sen tim Scott. Agreeable , obedient and extremely non confrontational and non threatening
Same. I was bullied and looked down on for my hair, skin shade, behavior, voice, etc. Ppl often called me “whitewashed.” I never understood the bullying and ik not all blk folks like that but too many are. Also, just thinking back to all of my overtly negative experiences (such as harassment, threats, etc) all of them have come from blk men. I’m currently a senior in high school and I see the way a lot of blk men treat and talk to/about their fellow women (aggressively playfighting, calling them b*tches and h*es, catching attitudes, etc) and it’s all just tiring. I’m going to a great university in my state that has way more positive ppl. I’m honestly excited for it
@@TheBreanaDiariesI went through the same thing in High School. 13 years later I have not seen/spoke to most (99.9%) of these people again and we live in the same city.

Thanks for your honesty. I'm a Latino from So Cal. I worked with a lot of brothers and I noticed the backbiting, and sometimes complete animosity at the towards each other. I was taken by surprise.

I agree we are in the final times. I have not researched this in awhile but this country is over due for doom. Others have not lasted as long as we have.
The great Neely Fuller Jr has being saying this for decades you're right. If we aren't doing something constructive to help one another stay away from each other.
I grew up in small town Wichita KS in the 80s. Parents were married and life was good. Went to great schools, lived in a nice home, etc. Wichita is under 11% black. Then, we relocated back to Memphis (I was born here). Parents got divorced and life got dark. I was made fun of by school mates and family for speaking proper, reading, eating healthy, having a 2 parent household, and being positive. Memphis is full of ignorance, poverty, violence, and crime. Memphis is also 85% black. I am relocating back to Kansas in a year. Always look at a city's racial demographis. Sadly, any city with over 30% blacks is going to be problematic.
I am 56 years old, I thought that I was one of the few that behave like you describe. I stay away from the "hood" and only have one black friend. My friend is a black, positive and supportive person that moves the exact same way. Hopefully your message will resonate to the young people, You cannot be successful in life unless you remove yourself from the poison that comes from that hood life! I enjoy your videos and will be a subscriber!
Excellent message my brother.. the Ego spirit is very much real. Remaining positive and humble is a must at all times.. keep speaking the power of truth ✊🏾
I been called those names. I can say and I’m not praising anyone but in my military college and raising my kids. It was always someone white or others who lent a hand. Voice out hug. My own sister spoke ill of my son before he died in Sept. two days before he died he has a seizure at school. The school called her. I was in Walmart getting dinner to cook. She told them she don’t talk to me or deal with me or can’t contact me. Well I did get to him before I found that out. But he did pass two days later. Seizure in his sleep. But this sister. Same momma. Same daddy. Basically said fuck my son. It was hurtful. Her jealousy couldn’t humble her to contact me. But instead told the school take her name off the emergency list. Texted our oldest brother. Told him tell Kelly take my name off the emergency list. It literally be our own people man. Your own dang on family. At the funeral while she speaking the flag fell off the coffin. Ten others went before her including me twice to speak. That was the spirit. It’s sad how we do each other. Especially family. Basically it bills down to I’m the little sister that got out of foster care and was successful with the half million dollar home. And no matter what she tells people imma always mental nutcase. Truly truly hurtful. But not anymore. It’s what I expect from many of us. We have a self destructive mindset.
That is so true what you saying it's best to stay away from certain kind of black people I dealt with black people I tried to help and they turned on me i had to get away from them
I use to think I was kinda off because I could never fit in with (black people) my own kind including family. Whenever we had small gatherings me siblings cousins ect… I would always be the positive one with encouraging words and informative info on how to stay motivated in the horrific times we’re living in today. Then I started hearing negative comments from other family members that really got the message and really cared about me and that’s when I knew it was time to leave black people to stay miserable by themselves! It’s unbelievably sad that this topic is definitely accurate and why most people with character and purpose should avoid those black people that are not of the same caliber. I Appreciate you big ward for bringing this topic to the forefront of the congregation, all black people need to hear this!!! 💯
Exactly. It’s a heavy weight to carry to when you’re the positive one around them. At gatherings even now as my kids are grown I still don’t take them to my biological family events. They really don’t know them.
You guys stop generalising I’m black and I do not hate my own people because that would mean I hate myself. I am aware that SOME of us ain’t easy but you can’t let a few bad apples tarnish the rest. I always usually hear black Americans make these kinds of divisive comments but how many of us have actually taken the time out to get to know each other properly so that we can connect in a genuine manner? Maybe if we open our hearts more and have empathy for each other then we can come together in unity without this fear and suspicion. This is sad!!!!
@@Wiggysmooth23I can only say that America has a serious problem because I didn’t realise that black Americans hated themselves so much and this is shameful. @@winstynglyn6893 it’s not that we hate our own. Our own hate ourselves. It’s in the dna. This is the very thing that was taught to our ancestors. It is deeply rooted in the fibers of our very black dna. We as a people can’t see pass what we’ve been shown. What we are told and therefore believe it. What we’re fed. Listen to and lay down with as a people is full deceit. It’s a disease. And unfortunately some diseases have consequences. Or contagious. The only way to lift our people from this is God thru Christ Jesus. But again. Look at the music. Schools. Jobs. Communities etc. in our areas they have purposely take Christ out. The black church is a joke used to be a safe haven. Schools teach everything but truth. Music teaches drugs and sex. Families aren’t strong. I can go on. We don’t hate our people. But we are not willing to catch the very disease we escaped from. So that my children wouldn’t see what I literally experienced as a Chicago kid. By the age of five I’ve been molested by family. Siblings. Mothers boyfriends. My siblings and I watched our mother kill a man in front of us while the body laid hours until they took it in 1986. The black trauma is deep. I was in foster care. From 6/19 By 8 I knew. If I didn’t behave in my foster home. If I didn’t get good grades. If I didn’t follow what I was hearing in church what the pastor said God was doing. My life would be like theirs is now. My mother overdosed wheni was 33 from heroin. Brother just got out of prison. Etc We do try to help our own. I could easy fall prey and give excuses on why I just couldn’t get it together. Like I said by 8. I knew God was real. And the only way. I knew I wanted a family. I knew I didn’t want them to see that. Every birthday I remember thinking it’s almost time. By my sophomore year it really got serious because the system kicks you out at 18 or 21 in college. We aren’t looking forward as a people. We’re looking at the right then and there and now. Look at the youth. Many of us broke generational curses but many more of us have not. That’s the issue
Amen brother!!! How’s your day going? Hope all is well. This video makes so much sense. Too much hatred to each other in our community. I’m done sticking up for people who want to argue and have jealousy for no reason. I get it now. We need a lot of fixing in our community but it starts with ourselves first and “avoiding them” is to protect my peace.
I keep referring my folks back to that book but they look at me like I'm some Fking retarded weirdo 🤷♂️ or some shyt all that stuff in there revert to whats going on today and the possible future state this system design for black folks to be behaving and acting like a damn fool in doing and saying ass backward ass foolishness on a whole scale level if you look closes a white person practicing the system of racist WS will happily lead astray and down the wrong path direction and Miss information while telling what might sound like it a good idea but fail and miss to tell you the most important information you need to prevail and excell on your way forward

Lol I always said it GOTS to be some kind of spell or curse that’s been put on us to cause us to act like this towards each other because I can definitely feel the animosity as soon as I make eye contact with somebody male or female it’s just disgusting at this point we hate and envy each other so much the colorism everything it’s sad tbh…
As a white dude i find better if you stay away frome all people's......i be just chilling with myself all the dam time ....and the peace that comes with it ......
Hey I hear you. But just because you leave them alone, doesn't mean they're not going to bother you, as a 38 year old black man for me it's always been a catch 22
I disagree that poison don't go both ways. It is the wider society who vehemently disenfranchises And historically injured black people. So that poison is perhaps sadly widespread singing the original racist system.

It’s the moment I move to a predominantly ninja community; somehow crime increases. It’s not even black folks, it’s the ninjas!! I know black suburbs that do just fine but they deal with the occasional ninja that targets their houses for ROBBERY! Follow them home and everything..
Wow. This is SO a sad but sadly I agree. In 2023 I made the decision to limit going to a lot of Black majority events unless there is something constructive and productive going on. It’s not everyone but it’s WAY too many Black folks with poison towards each other as Neely said in the audio. For the past 2 years as a Black woman I experienced a lot of poison from other Black women for no reason other than just progressing, traveling, being in a healthy relationship. From family to women I have never met in my life, just online causing drama. You get a target on your back when you’re not a walking stereotype. It’s sad but my safety and self preservation comes first. Jealousy is wicked and it’s so strong within Black circles. It’s bad enough to have to be concerned with non Black peoples racism but then people who look like you too? Shame. I do think if more Black people took care of themselves & their mental health, build a relationship with God, the “community” would actually flourish. Too many Black people think they’re in community with each other, but what it really is is just being comfortable around one another & bonding through a shared trauma. All of us aren’t like this obviously, but it’s way too many. Help who you can from a distance & help the youth is how I feel. Broken people in a big group can’t help one another.
I saw it during my business trips in europe ( paris , london, norway ) it is a double hate prejudice not only from ourselves but also from our historic haters

Im really sorry you went through that. Many blessings to you.
We have the SAME story!! I was picked on in the 80s for "talking white" by relatives and classmates too.
VERY Unfortunate That You Went Through That..😢
@@ButterCookie1984 I remember how shocked everyone was when they found out that Harrison Barnes's wife was black.

However we must be careful not to tarnish our race with the same brush 🧹and my advice would be for black Americans to travel to other black countries or countries with a lot of black people and then they might come back with a different perspective or perception. Remember we are not all the same.
Same here fam. I'm genx and it's been like this for us too!!
