Awesome work horse! More snow for you = more plow video for us! Thanks !

Definitely a great truck. I don't film every plow job only because I usually end up plowing in complete darkness. Thanks for watching.

I do really like the truck though. I love the GMC dump trucks from the 70's to late 90's.

They definitely are cool trucks. Thanks for the comment.

You need to get a new rotating light or at least another bulb for it and maybe get better lights for the truck all the way around. It might be an old truck that you just use on your property and don't want to probably spend too much money on it,but it would still be better for safety and high visibility.

Not a bad idea, but honestly, I don't use the light that often. I just thought the reflection on the snow was cool. It's a private road with little to zero traffic in the winter. So I don't usually meet anyone while plowing. But I'll consider it. Thanks for watching!

Derek that's not good when plow doesn't work definitely when you really need it

I agree it's not good. It eventually started working. Just was a little troublesome at first. Thanks for watching!

I think you may have a Bering starting to go on your engine.

I can’t remember, but I think Wes did a video on hydraulic pumps. Something about directional flow. I always try to plow late at night to guarantee I can get out in the morning. Then I will run a quick trip if needed in the morning and drop some sand and ashes on the hill for grip if it gets icy. What oil weight are you using?

I wish I could plow more often, but with a 2 mile long road, I just don't have that much time. I think its iso 46 weight oil. I've got some 32 that I could top off with. Just using what I've got in the garage at the moment. Thanks for watching!

You might want to check the hydraulic oil to see if it's cloudy if so you have water in the oil. You want to check after running the pump for awhile.

No water in the fluid. I've checked it several times. I'm guessing air from the sound of it. I have a good wix hydraulic filter, so that should pick up most of the dirt in it. And it works fine after a bit. So I'm guessing the fluid was cold and didn't want to pump, and the system pulled a little air in somewhere. Then once the fluid warmed up a bit and the air was purged, it worked fine. Thanks for watching!

    I'm leaning towards oil viscosity.
Works when warmer, not work when cold.
If the plow works like a champ when temps rise theres the answer I think.
Bed lift could have larger passages for oil flow.

That's what I'm thinking too. I may have to add some thinner fluid and see if that helps. Thanks for watching!

Hey hey! Good to see your moving along. Sounds like air or dirt in the system to me. 😁🇨🇦👍 cheers!

Yes, very possible. I'm guessing air from the sound of it. I have a good wix hydraulic filter, so that should pick up most of the dirt in it. And it works fine after a bit. Since our house is mainly done, that's about all I use Elvis for anymore. It works really well. Thanks for watching!

How's the heat work in that truck is it ok or no heat?

    • @NorthForkHollow
      @NorthForkHollow  2 роки тому

Heat works well, no problems there. I dont usually use it though, it gets way to hot. Thanks for watching!
