My Wife absolutely loved her Ocean Picture Stone Pendant I bought from your website for our anniversary. She loves the ocean, so it was the perfect gift. 😁
Thank you Dan! It's pretty special to see the project I've worked so hard on be featured on one of your videos. Now do I get to say Pioneer Pauly Tested and Dan Hurd approved?!
Was that your highbanker? I loved it ! My sister and I rockhound but in certain areas we look for gold. We are both 65+, so to see a light weight hbkr that we could manage was like 🎉. Im in western nc and we are devistated in these mtns, but we are strong! We will make it. Will look at your website✌️
I just want to say thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You’ve lifted my soul in some pretty dark times. Keep spreading the joy! You make a difference! 🙏🏻
Dan Hurd, I love your videos. It's awesome to see you go through and explain the geology of the place, or your lessons on why it's there. You are an excellent professional at this. Seeing you and Pioneer Pauly together is always exciting and great to see.
Dan I really appreciate watching your videos, sometimes I prefer to watch your videos over television I hope you know how much inexperienced people like myself appreciate what we have learned watching your videos please ignore the nay sayers there just jealous. I have learned so much by watching your videos that every rock I pass by I need to pick it up and say what would Dan do? Thank you I wish I could have started gem hunting in my youth but I guess better late late than never. Can't wait for your next video thank you Dan.
No dirt in the river unless it’s the largest landslide that has been seen almost ever. It only had dirt in the river for months 24-7 funny laws up there! Love your channel!
Mining history in BC has had a pretty bad record before these rules were put in. From entire ocean inlet killed, to complete fish spawns wiped out, and in one case a lake filled in with silt. These strict rule all come from somewhere. And miners in BC history have proven what "we" do without the rules.
Hey Dan! I've had this thought before when I see people hauling gas pumps up to their spot to highbank - with how much fall the river has near you, you might be able to run the hose 50 feet up or something, set the end in the river, and let gravity build pressure instead of using gas. I would think that a long length of hose would be easier to hike up with than a big pump, if it works. I could be wrong about how far upriver you'd need to go to get water pressure equivalent to the pump
Smiling! I like that you put on the good slippers for the video. Big Smile! I need to go on an adventure, been on some short motorcycle rides but need something else. Trouble is my traveling mate; AKA wife went home to be with the Lord in June and never been without her by my side in the past 55 years. Got to work on that, if I can get someone to care for the 2 dogs and cat. Smiling!
The old channel you were dumping the water from the high banker in seems to be running over bedrock as well. Might be a great place to look for gold as well!
Not sure if it's okay, but I'd love to play there, and make a little partition of rocks to direct the river down that channel, just so I can watch. I really enjoy playing with flowing water, and would be there for hours just playing with that creek bed. Lol
I enjoy watching your videos. I just found out that my 15 month old little boy likes watching when you're doing the water parts. He was very fascinated with watching the water bounce around in your pan. He kept trying to reach into the screen to grab the water. I think I have a water boy in my hands. Maybe he'll be a rock nut like my dad is, who knows?
Fantastic find! I hope you show us many more before the end of the season. Thanks for taking us along and sharing your experiences!! Till next time, toodles.
He gets a lot actually. He stays busy and has fun and great exercise and enjoys the great outdoors. What more could you ask for(well a few more big shiny nuggets of course)😅
The gold itself doesn't pay the bills, but the videos he makes from finding that gold does, or at least gives him a lot more. The added benefits of the exercise and fresh air are worth a lot, too.
I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now and you have mentioned a couple of times that you are not allowed to let the highbanker effluent to enter the river directly, however they allow you to pan silt into the river. Seem inconsistent, but I assume it is due to the volume of the highbanker vs. individual panning. Also, I have never seen you get a good sized nugget (say 1 oz. or greater). Is there any past video where you have found such a nugget? Keep up the good work. The area you work in BC is absolutely beautiful.
When quartz is subjected to pressure, it produces a voltage that attracts gold that is dissolved in water. I believe you can make a device that could extract gold directly out of solid quartz.
Beautiful spot Dan we yankees envy you in BC for the untarnished wilds you have. There is something very special about just being out there apart of that.

I'm still subscribed and notifications are on. Thanks for gold fever. Tom Massie would tell you to classify your dirt better. But I'm a big fan. Keep digging.
Basically the discharge from the sluice would be unnaturally adding extra sediment back into the river which could fill up fish spawning areas or whatever. Would his small operation destroy the ecosystem? No. But the laws are the law and Dan plays by the rules which makes him a great content creator.
The rule about no silt getting back into the rivers isn't just for beauty - its to protect the entire ecosystem of that waterway. The silt can have quite a few adverse affects - one example being reduced oxygen levels, particularly the oxygen making its way into the rivers soil, where the insects (which feed everything in the river) spend their lives.
Love to watch you scratch, rake, and sift in that ice cold water. The coldness caught me by surprise (I'm from MO, and the water is pleasantly cool.). Made me hurt clear up in my armpits. You have my admiration for your tolerance of it. Good luck nuggeting. I have 5 gal buckets of sand and gravel from out west to pan for fun. Don't expect much, but a trace would be exciting to find.
Hi Dan. This Ryan Courtemanche from Kelowna I really injoyed watching your videos and nice work. Just I had a great time in the mission creek. I had a great summer. And found found .12 gram picker and pull 4.33 grams out the creek
Mr. Dan some of us arent getting notifications! Other channels are having issues too as well as their subscrinmbers being unsubscribed! Amazing video my friend!
I don't know if you've ever answered this before, but why do people claim jump? Seeing the high bankers (very nice one btw) always reminds of it. So far it seems like prospecting is more of a hobby than a serious lucrative career, at least until you find a spot start getting a project underway. Why do they break that law to do it? Also again, love the new piece of gear. I can't believe how light that that is for what its doing.
Love ya dan my husband absolutely loves your videos he said he would love to come and meet you and go do something like this with you he would do all the work lol
My Wife absolutely loved her Ocean Picture Stone Pendant I bought from your website for our anniversary. She loves the ocean, so it was the perfect gift. 😁
Wonderful!

You could send me one if you want! lol

Will look at your website✌️
Dan treats gold prospecting like I treat fishing. I’m mostly there to enjoy the outdoors.
I didn't catch a single keeper last year. It's still better than work.
I’ve been watching Dan for ages. He always makes me smile with his enthusiasm and his knowledge. I so want him to find BIG nuggets! He deserves it.😊😊😊
Dan you are so wholesome and authentic. And lets not forget very knowledgeable. Really enjoy your vids.
I just want to say thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You’ve lifted my soul in some pretty dark times. Keep spreading the joy! You make a difference! 🙏🏻
I like to see Dan showing us he’s taking breaks. Hot day, all by yourself in a remote area, health issues.
Just glad Dan takes care of himself.
I really like how you care for the environment.
Dan Hurd, I love your videos. It's awesome to see you go through and explain the geology of the place, or your lessons on why it's there. You are an excellent professional at this. Seeing you and Pioneer Pauly together is always exciting and great to see.

Looks like the weather was great for you Dan!!
That polymer high banker is a nice-looking bit of kit.
Alright Dan it's great watching you search for new spots and of course GOLD here in shity new York no gold for the taking
Hi Dan. Have a great week.
Thanks Dan!
Any day ya get to pull real gold from a river is a great day! I have worked whole days for less gold, and still came away smiling from ear to ear.
Well hello Dan. Love your video’s.
Thanks dan love the dream claim!

Dan has become a professional drone user nice drone footage the river is gorgeous .
Great teaching to protect the future of mining
Dan that 1 nugget is a big gold molar😊
I had half a thought Dan found someone's gold tooth.
Beautiful river and beautiful gold. Thanks for the adventure 😀
That's such a beautiful spot and I love that chunky gold!!!!
Dan when you're back on your blue picture Stone you might try put some silicone grease plumbers Grease on your wedges
Smiling!
I like that you put on the good slippers for the video. Big Smile!
I need to go on an adventure, been on some short motorcycle rides but need something else. Trouble is my traveling mate; AKA wife went home to be with the Lord in June and never been without her by my side in the past 55 years.

That is a beautiful river. It's prettier than the gold even. Well, equal, at least. World class
Dan, im really loving the blue high banker. Rain and heat = swamp a** also. Not fun
Great setup for areas with a long hike in. Looks like it worked well. Good stuff Dan!
Not sure if it's okay, but I'd love to play there, and make a little partition of rocks to direct the river down that channel, just so I can watch. I really enjoy playing with flowing water, and would be there for hours just playing with that creek bed. Lol

Great video
Mr. Dan, I cannot tell you how much I’ve enjoyed your last dozen or so videos…. Way to mix it up!
You’ve become one of my favorite channels to watch!😊
Fantastic find! I hope you show us many more before the end of the season. Thanks for taking us along and sharing your experiences!! Till next time, toodles.
Nobody can beat a Highbanker like Pauly did for testing. 😮 😊😊😊
It would be interesting to see what was behind and under that BIG round bolder the water flow was draining to.
Love this channel. So much enthuasiasm
It doesn't pay the bills, but I think you should be getting much more for your efforts. That water is so clear! Another great video Dan. ¡?¡
The stone he quarries definitely makes more money.
Any day in countryside like that is a good day
Great day gold getting 💎Dan!

Yes good gold but a great day out for you. Blessings
Your videos are a lot of fun. Great attitude too !!!
Around 14:40ish the sound of pain is awesome sir.
Real men sound like that😂

I don't have an area with known gold deposits to practice with.
But you do........
I flooded mine is where I would start.
You could also use chainmail shark armor,
To be in the water during the process.
The Frazier must follow a quartz vein, or there's gold all through the mountains the Frazier cuts through.
loved the camera work today!
So nice Dan . Have fun . I got a speck. Of gold last weekend. But the day was great . Blessings Sir.
Beautiful spot Dan we yankees envy you in BC for the untarnished wilds you have. There is something very special about just being out there apart of that.
Dan looks like your hat has seen better days. Time for a new one!
Thank you for a great video again Dan !
wow water and mud back in the water and mud!!! come on!!!!

Such beautiful scenery

Consider yourself lucky that you can use a high banker, its hands and pans here in Oregon...
Nice different shapes nice haul for a fun day ❤
15:51 Amazing video so far
love your channel you have the greatest adventures and awesome attitude, keep up the great adventure and thank for sharing.
Congratulations on having fun
Thanks Dan!!!!!
How often do you clean the panning tub? You ever find any lost gold in it? Maybe that could be a future video!!!
Great job Dan. Have a great day
Sure glad you explained the whole seepage/mud thing; I didn’t understand what the problem was since you’re not adding any chemicals to it.
Basically the discharge from the sluice would be unnaturally adding extra sediment back into the river which could fill up fish spawning areas or whatever. Would his small operation destroy the ecosystem? No. But the laws are the law and Dan plays by the rules which makes him a great content creator.
@@1nsain3 Agree! I just hadn’t thought of it that way. I like learning new things(or rather, new ways of thinking about things).
Dan, that night on the far left looks like a guy panning at the river. Very cool
Another great vid!
Good job
Vogus Prospecting would love one of those high bankers.
Awesome person you are Dan and your content is fantastic!
Your fun spreads to us!
Love watching you ! Thank you for doing this !

You earn that subscription EVERY TIME. cheers mate! ❤️🏴😎
Dan the man! ❤ Most awesome prospector
Thats one beautiful work area

Great 🇺🇸 stuff 👍
Beautiful river. It would be nice if there was gold to prospect around here
Hi Dan. This Ryan Courtemanche from Kelowna I really injoyed watching your videos and nice work. Just I had a great time in the mission creek. I had a great summer. And found found .12 gram picker and pull 4.33 grams out the creek
Thanks for another wonderful video ❤
might be an idea to ask your subscribers to design a backpack that holds your highbanker, shovel, pan, and your metal detector.
Mr. Dan some of us arent getting notifications! Other channels are having issues too as well as their subscrinmbers being unsubscribed! Amazing video my friend!
14:13 Nice close-ups shots!!! What a blast trying to see any GOLD!! ROCK ON!! 😁👍🏻🪨⛏️

Great result from what must have been less than 0.4 of a yard. Spot shows promise.
Love ya dan my husband absolutely loves your videos he said he would love to come and meet you and go do something like this with you he would do all the work lol
Excellent video Dan thanks for sharing this with us six stars brother
Beautiful spot. Looks like a spot to fly or bait fish.😊
Just found this no notifications just gone to the start to watch the full episode
I didn't get notification either!!!!
Same
That water is beautiful
Dan you need a swivel 45 on high-banker rag hose cam lock input
Lol Pauly beat the ever loving piss out of that high banker 😂
We love you Dan! Have a blessed day ❤
There looks like a huge black gold smooth rock in your first clean up with the pan in the background?
What a stunningly gorgeous stretch of river!
would be sick to get a kayak on it!
