Superb production Paul, that was great to watch!! Loving the different camera angles. Looks like we are all suffering the old rc weather curse, no matter where in the world we are! Looks like you got that done just in time Sir. The iconic hotshot looks cool in white, I think Mark chose well! And, for such an old design, it is still more than capable of putting in some great laps. Delightful! 😊 👍 👍 👍
I never got into stickers but always wanted billboards of my go-to tubers. I made a couple, and they fell apart and looked bad. Then, the green screen popped into my head. A little salute to the guys I enjoy.
This was great! I totally loved the video experience of this, so much cool stuff to pay attention to. And of course the buggy! Mark did a good job dictating you should paint it white, and you made it look great! And fast, even if it's old obsoleted technology, still does great in the dirt! I hope you get some nice weather soon, keep these awesome videos coming, dude!
That was all sorts of cool, Paul! I see you got the X4 dialed in. That sweeping shot around the back corner looked awesome! And the green screen idea is working great, lap timer system is spot on, hell, even the driver was turning some great laps! lol! Great stuff dude!
Thank you, man!! I filmed this kit at the same time I did Willy and had nothing but nightmares with it , having to reshot everything days of youtube blocking it because of a song playing in the background. I don't know how you do it. I left an "Excellent!" In there for you at the end.
Thanks, Mark! It turned out the original music was my issue earlier. Had to make do with what I used here. Originally, it was AC/DC Shoot to Thrill. UA-cam gods said NO!
You nailed it. Oh, the editing . It's not my favorite part. All the chit-chat afterward is worth it. I woke up at 5 am. Thinking, " Why didn't I put Mark's hotshot on the screen?" Next thought was," I'm all done editing. "
@@Paul__FC The edit was spot-on dude, I really enjoyed the "flow" of the video and those tracking shots were awesome. I think the talkie bits really add some personality to the mix. Thanks for the mention, that was cool!
What a brilliant video Paul! Love the screen at the back of the shot! Very cool brother 😎 That 360 camera does some brilliant shots tracking the cars through that top section of the track. I like that dude!!! Not a bad start for the Hotshot but I think you’ll get faster than that for sure. Great content fella 🙌🏻
Thanks, Craig! I made sure Mini got some screen time as a thank you for wanting to send me stickers. I figured the Dad & daughter logos could get a smile.
Thank you for your comments. It's more fun doing the running than the video work for me, but I guess that's just keeping it real. I can't tell you how many laps I ran before remembering to turn the cameras on.
@V8chump pretty much but it has 3 different settings and will do multiple cars. I never got to much more into it. I found a setting that worked and stuck with it. Moving shadows will mess up the montion sensor. Pick a location wisely and use a sturdy tripod. One the waves in the wind is a no go.
@@Paul__FC dude thank you so much! I’ll definitely tinker with it and make it work. My local track has no nearby trees or shadows so as long as I find a good tripod I should be set once I dial it in!

cool track!
Thank you, just living out a childhood dream.
My buddy had the Super Shot. Crazy fun times back in the late 80's. Nice buggy. Tamiya has some of the best looking rc's ever imo
Sweet track for speed runs but I like to see buggies jump!
I've been grasping with the jump idea. I've been considering making removable ones so my fragile vintage stuff doesn't get wrecked.
@@Paul__FC I sympathise. I only run re-release kits and I hate damaging them but I can’t resist modest jumps for buggies.
awesome video mate . very slickly produced. thanks for the mention 😊👍hotshot looks fab . one of my all time favourite s😊👍

Thanks a ton. It's really appreciated. I'll take an old chassis and try to tame it over a fast out of the box any day. It's half the fun.
Great run Paul. Love the video screen. Well I could probably keep it together for about 3 laps but not a chance in hell for 10😮😵👍👌
Thanks, Rob. I had hoped you'd get a kick out of the logos.

@Paul__FC I noticed that at the end, it was Excellent! Haha! And don't sweat the copyright stuff. It's all a learning curve, we've all been there. 😉
FIRST - GET IN THERE!!! 🤣👊👍
Good to see you Paul! Green and white all the way bro! 😎🙌🏼
Yeah Mark!!

Nice track and Hotshot. I really wish I still had mine from 1980 something. Lol

Great run video💪🤩💯
Excellent! 🎸🎶
Thankyou!
That was a joy to watch. Nice run and an awesome personal race track too.👍😊
Thankyou very much.
Nice run with it Paul. The Hot Shot looked great out there and the track looks wonderful too! Good lap times with it as well.

Nice run, what a great vid👍🏼
Thank you very much!
Great! I clicked for this unique hot-shot and it is hot and spicy.. awesome! Subbed by the way.
Thankyou very much! Greatly appreciated!
I subbed right back at you. Retro gamers here to. Just put a new back lit screen in my Gameboy color.
@@Paul__FC awesome great minds think alike :)
The Hot Shot is a great looking car and it looks really good handling all the corners out there. But dang...that rain...holy.
What are you using to time your laps? Always wanted something like that so I can see improvements or loss of time from tuning!
It's called LapTrax. A free app I found for my phone. Game changer.
@@Paul__FC oh wow! How does it work? Just using the camera as a motion detector or?

I'd like to know where ranked against all the others.
