Awesome video, my dude. The track attack was sick, and a little Dragula really helps keep the vibe pumpin'! The blooper reel had me laughing! When you kept going ass over tea-kettle on the ramp, I was thinking: "How am I not hearing him swear off in the distance?" But then 11:07 the truth came out! Hahaha. Love it!
I dropped a few F-bombs. That was days of crashing until I got that stupid little jump right and pulled off 10 clean laps. You can hear the last lap bell on 6 different crashes. I was losing my mind!
I was going to say that with those few modifications the car tracks unbelievably well…then I saw the bloopers lol - man I would have never thought such a small jump would give the car so many problems….really likes to dig in its bumper lol. But I’m still impressed with the good runs..didn’t seem to be as bouncy with the oil shocks.
It runs much better than stock for sure! Still a bit of a handful and obviously a bit tricky to get over the jump well! They are never going to be great race buggies but for what it is they are still a lot of fun to run around. Of course having to flip it back over fairly often can get frustrating LOL!!!
Brilliant walk of shame at the end of the video Paul 😂🤣 Once you have a jump installed on the track it introduces a huge amount of variability. The older buggies just can’t cope with it but the 10 you stringed together were first class brother 🙌🏻
@@theoagrc oh man , it took time . I spent days tweaking and messing about to get 10 clean laps. I had so much recorded i didn't know up from down come editing time. Thank you for watching!
Good stuff Paul..... I wish I was 50 again, that was a good time for me... Dude, 15.5 brushless (17.5, my bad, LOL), CRAZY..... Love the Green Machine 3 Pro, yup, I know what it is. Losi shock oil too... Looks like we think the same.. Track time is great for a hopper and keep the rear track as it is, it seems to help.
@UncleBobsRC I love the old school gear. I should have test drove the track with my frog. It's the golden rule of the track I made for track. If the frog can't do it , it too hard.
@Paul__FC nice hopper aren't great jumpers.. they are ok with launch type but front end is always all over the place.. . Ever think about wood ramps with grass so you can quick change track up without having to digg.. maybe little kicker ramp. Will be looking for redemption run brother
@reitplace4765 i was out this weekend looking for outdoor turf rugs but stores everywhere have removed them for Christmas decorations. :( so I bought a new sledge hammer instead.
Nice mods on the Grasshopper II. I am mostly into Kyosho but I really like the Grasshopper for its simplicity and sturdyness.I have a Grasshopper 1 from the first rerelease they did of it back 2005 although it is retired now and sitting on the shelf.Anyway thank you for sharing and have a great weekend! Subbed aswell 👍greetings from Sweden
Hi Paul! Love the mods you've done to the GH2, very neat! I was amazed how consistent those 10 laps were, gradually shaving the lap times down. But then the bloopers! Just shows how difficult it can be, especially with that damn front bumper digging in! Great video pal, really enjoyed the ride! 😎👊👍
Thanks, buddy. Days went by before I could get 10 clean laps, and by that time, I had recorded hours of time out there. I didn't know what went with what.
Very entertaining video Paul!! Great work on the hop ups to make it less 'hoppy' if that makes any sense?!😅 What a substantial improvement in performance, that thing was tearing around the track, and pulled off some superb times despite the addition of the jump! I would call this one a great success fella. Loving the out takes.....we watch so many 'perfect performance ' videos on UA-cam ,but in reality that just ain't the case!! Cool to see someone keeping it real. 🙏 👍 👍
@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC thanks man, I tried hard to get the blue screen to work, but the light was all wrong and turned the video black and white. Your logo was one I tried to get to work.!
@Paul__FC Ah cheers for the thought buddy......i think everyone was more focused on that little hopper trying it's best to show off it's hidden race pedigree anyway!! 😂 Very much looking forward to seeing what vintage icon graces the track next time around..... weather permitting of course! 😉 👍 👍
@bradkalman2353 I originally built this kit 4th of July 2017. It took until now to show it any love. I have to say , the kit was resentful. If there was 1 mod, I'd would pick over any other it would be the Axle brace. The suspension actually started to work.

Nice mods on the Grasshopper 2. Thought it handled the 10 laps really well.. until I saw the bloopers. 😅👍
@@Toystheyrenot puts it all into perspective. 🤣 it took days to pull off 10 clean laps.

Nightmare, in the end, I re-shaped the little jump, and I was able to get 10 clean laps first try.

HULK SMASH!!!! Was all I was thinking until I re-shaped the jump.
Easy peasy after that.

I've done the same! Sweet green monte!
Great mods runs pretty sweet on the track brother.. am pro is great stuff... Love the bloopers bud.. oh and happy birthday 50 this year myself
Well, happy 50th! I was hoping you would pop in. I'm thinking of knocking that jump/bump down and giving the Hopper a "Redemption" run.

F me lol haha thanks for bloopers
It went soooo bad I had to show it. Intro was Halloween themed, but by the time I got 10 clean , we were halfway to Thanksgiving!
I just built that car.
Hope you get hornet evo.
I certainly will.
