Galaxy Quest is technically a parody, but it has so much heart that the entire Star Trek fandom regards it as the greatest non-Trek Star Trek movie ever made😂. The province turned against them, they dropped the lawsuit and she then started doing stunts and parodies of herself... She usually messes up with us, learns and then goes and does it with the rest of the world. Kudos to her, she learns, but, I will never forget how mad at her I was for doing that.

From a Quebecer's point of view, Celine and René were everything but happy the first time they got parodied. That was in 2002. They sued the person who did it and filed a complaint. The province turned against them, they dropped the lawsuit and she then started doing stunts and parodies of herself... She usually messes up with us, learns and then goes and does it with the rest of the world. Kudos to her, she learns, but, I will never forget how mad at her I was for doing that.
Weird Al Yankovic, who of course made his name from his parodies of songs, has said in the past that numerous artists told him they didn’t realize they’d “made it” until Weird Al asked for permission to parody them. :)

I think the reason people think you sound like Cher or “about to yawn” is just because you shift your normally front vowels toward the open-back position, which she does. I think people hear the trait and recognize it without knowing what it is
