Gorgeous looking pen Bob.
I have to admit I did have a smile when you had to change the bushing so you could put it all together.
Take care Bob.
Cheers, Huw
Thank you Huw,
You never know what to expect when making a pen. There are always little challenges along the way. 😁
Regards,
Bob
Marking the cigar bushings is smart. I'm very similar in the sense that I spend a ton of time making sure I have the blanks oriented correctly to the bushings/kit. Another great turn, Bob!
Thank you Robert.
Regards,
Bob
That is a stunning blank expertly turned into an awesome pen.
Thank you Mark.
Regards,
Bob

Thank you Ray.

Bob, hope it’s ok to say that I enjoy your voice. I’m no stranger to pen making but I enjoy watching it anyway.
Nice work too 😅
-Jon
Thank you Jon,
I appreciate that. 😀

Beautiful pen! I love the contrasting woods and clean lines.
Thank you Matthew,
It is a beautiful blank and I may have to try to reproduce it with other wood types.
Regards,
Bob

Thank you Dave,

Beautiful pen. Thanks for doing it, and let me know if you want any more cutoffs.
Thank you Paul.
Regards,
Bob
I need to mark my bushings as well. It beats going thru all of the bushings to get the right one.
It sure does George.
Regards,
Bob
Cracking good job Bob👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😎😎😎😎😎
Thank you Alan.
Regards,
Bob
Side note, I have seen people feel for lip between the blank and kit. I know that for competition that is the first test, fail it and the pens out no matter how it looks. And your fingers can feel easily a 64th and often a 128th of an inch.
That is always one of my first tests.
Nice pen. Anyone discover a coating that will keep the purple heart purple over time?
This that I’ve heard. It faces if not exposed to sunlight.
Regards,
Bob
