You need to let the mold tottaly dry before another use. So usually you create one Mother mold and from it make few production molds. This way you can create many copies in one sitting

However the ceramic clay slip powder can be bought the thing to keep in mind however is all of the ceramic clays must be fired in a kiln so if you don't have a ceramic kiln then you would have to focus on alternatives like making a 2 part mold and casting a cement version but you cant drink from it

Yes plaster of Paris is fine for the mould and the grey liquid is just liquid clay, just wait some time before pouring out the excess liquid from the cup

Did you use mold release grease on the cup? Grease can clog the pores of the plaster, does it work? Or did you use mold release soap?

I would use flashing and make a round mold...less plaster and work, plus a more even casting

Yes, the clay will shrink as it dries and will pop out just fine.
