Thanks so much for watching our first youtube vid! Every view is supporting our little small business ❤
Hi,
is the slip clay food safe? I ask because I know this type of clay have some extra additives and the informations I found are very confusing. Some people stating clearly that this type of clay is not food safe while others are just avoiding a straight answer.
Thank you!
Thank you for showing us your techniques. I’m just learning so this was very helpful.
thank you! so glad you enjoyed it :)
Why don't you give comments on what you are doing😢
Please make a video how to make cup molds
Thanks for this video
I have one question
What is the time to remove cup form plaster mold
And what type of material you use
I use a porcelain clay and the timing depends on how thick you want your piece to be!
Dopo quanti minuti viene travasato?
How long before you demould is really reliant on your type of clay, your supplier's recipe, the mould you have etc.
Hello. How do you prepare de mix for molds?? Sorry i am very new on this
you need to mix the clay to break up the clumps before you pour it into the molds
Whats that liquid?!
It's called slip, it's a casting clay
I LOVE how organized and clean your studio is 😊❤
Thank you!! 😊
I feel calm and grass roots
thank you my lovely!
This is so cool! I went from watching primitive pottery to watching the at home version of the modern commercial method. I’ll probably stick to primitive for now, but I may try this some day.
Gorgeous !!!💖
Thank you so mucch!!
Thank you for this wonderful video, but what are the tools and materials used, does the drying method require an oven, what is the insulation material, and so on? Can you tell me or make a video about it?
The clay is porcelain, it needs to be fired twice - bisque & stoneware. Pieces are made using a plaster mold that I created from a 3D print
I have a question how did you do the slip in the video did you just leave the clay to dry then break it and add water and is there a specific clay I should use
You have a few options; pre-mixed slip where it is ready to go when used, powder slip where you add the water needed or you mix the ingredients yourself. When looking for the material, search for casting slip and read the technical sheets/ask the supplier what quality it is and will it work for your designs
What precisely is used to color the slip. I use cone 04 to fire my slip made molds.
I used clay stains, what you source is dependant on your ceramic suppliers
لو سمحت ما هيا المكونات التى توضع على الطين لتحسين جودة الفخار
Hi, depends on the type of clay slip you buy eg. midfire, earthenware, stoneware or porcelain and their ingredient ratios that will impact the quality. It changes based on supplier
What did you pour first at the bottom before pouring the slip in the quart size beaker?
Different coloured clay slip!
Is this burned at high temperature?
Yes! 1280 degrees celsius
Can you tell me which materials was used in this work or capture the label presence on the plastic container
I use a porcelain clay and mix pigments into it. What you can source material wise depends on your location :)
Do you make bulk custom pieces? 100-500
yes I do, depending on the project and type of piece
Did you glaze it before pouring in tea? Beautiful video! TY
They are glazed on the inside only, I use porcelain so it is waterproof :)
If i have clay then i add water to it ,does it become as the same liquid that u used for this video?? Im in love with this work it’s lovely and the video make it looks easy and smooth,,nice video🌹
No, you need to have the right chemical balance if you are making your own clay slip! It definitely looks easier than it is hahah
Apakah anda menggunakan sodium silicate?
autogefühl
Qué bonito gracias por su tiempo de que material es y me gustaría saber más, gracias
Barbotina = Argila + água basicamente
I really want to do this!
Loved this! Do you have any videos on how you make your molds?
not yet, going to be making some in 2023 though!
Is this a clay liquid is used?
Yes, it's called slip (also known as casting clay)
How do you seal the cup pls? I don’t see a glaze?
Glazed on the inside only, I use porcelain so it's waterproof and doesn't require glaze on the outside
@@toofriendlyceramics Thank you so much. That’s something I didn’t know. I’m very new to pottery just playing around as a hobby :)
Precisa levar ao forno?
Yep all pieces get double fired, bisque and stoneware
How to make this clay
it's a material you purchase from a supplier
@@toofriendlyceramics ok nice
Changed the speed to 2x. Much better.
