Yeah, the engines are doing exactly what they should, they are EXTREMELY good, especially at high speed high altitude, but the airframe itself has too little drag. I would definitely expect this to change, but then again they added the Gripen like they did and left it like that for a half a year soooooo
Except the maneuverability of the MiG-29 and the Su-27 isn’t even what makes it bad, it’s the radar and the missiles and the less countermeasures (and in sim it’s the bad situational awareness)

you should test it with the mig21 bis. its unironically incredibly fast at high alts (9km alt). to be fair I'm not sure how it'll fair in a rolling start, e.i mach 1.5 to mach, but going from 500kmh to mach 2 is much faster than pretty much every aircraft in game to what I know/tested

When the f16 came out the japanese had the best one (block 10 lighter agile airframe with sparrows) when the f15 came out the japanese once again had the best one (copy past of the american one but got aam3 which are just better than aim 9m) technically Israel had a better f15 than America too as once again copy paste but it got more missiles to choose from. Of the base mig 29 germany has the best one (better flight model). Best leopard 2 in the game at one point was swedish so its not just limited to jets either. Currently the F15I is broken and needs to be fixed not because its better than what america get but because its completely overperforming what it should be and puts every other jet to shame.
what about planes like Mig21bis, Mig23MLD, F111, J10, J8, M4K, JA-37, Ja-39, Kfir, Starfighter and Tornado? i think they should be very fast too. And at low speed Yak-141 accelerates very fast too, but get's a lot worse at high speeds.
They didn’t give the US one the better engines so that they can add another copy paste f15 with the better engines when they add the next jets so they can avoid giving us the FA18 because their almost out of vehicles to add.
arguably the scariest part is is that this is all measured in indicated air speed (IAS), which basically means the speed the instruments are reading, and ofcourse, the air speed indicator works by measuring how many air molecules hit the probe, although at higher altitude (eg 10k Metres) there air is less dense meaning there are less air molecules causing it to under read compared to the true air speed This means that the f15I can (according to your tests at 9:02) can fly from about mach 1 TAS to mach 2 TAS in roughly 40ish seconds at 10k metres, maybe less top tier is gonna be carnage lmfao
I can only imagine they do this so players have another tech tree to grind, they probably know that a big percentage of the player base already has the US tech tree completed or in progress, so they want to encorage people to buy more premium to grind the Israely tech tree.
The f16c is nerfed in warthunder and has reduced thrust at high speed. It’s thrust curve is basically reversed ay high speed. A jet engine is supposed to get more powerfull as air speed increases, but the F-16 decreases above 1100 im pretty sure. Pretty sure the f15 also has that. The F-15I might just not have that feature. Also it has wayyyyy more thrust like 105kN vs 130kN

as usual, people still complaining about the mig-29 and especially the flanker, when i have never once had an issue with the flanker. the flight model on it has allowed me to do things no other jet can do, the R-73 has allowed me to get kills i never would have been able to otherwise. if you can't win in it, you actually just suck. and no, i am by no means a "good" player, but the mig-29 and flanker are far better than people say.
You do know that "worst fm of 4th gen" is still extremely good? It just can't compete in a sustained turn fight, while IRL su-27, for example could if not match then be a bit worse than f-15 at it. That's the crux of the problem, su-27 and mig-29 came out of a program that was made to match f-15 and f-16, they should be close by flight performance (if a bit worse) yet they're not even close in game. Meanwhile all NATO planes lose 20% less speed in turns than they should IRL, because of a faulty equation that's used for them and no one gives af.

My problem is with it is one nothing to do with the aircraft it’s but the instructor mainly how the aircraft like to fall out of the fucking sky for no reason despite having great low speed performance especially on Afganistán the with the aircraft it’s is under preforming some in gs and aoa not much my problem is with energy retention is under performing massively but the is mainly on how gaijin models aircraft and will probably never get fixed It’s not bad it’s not good either I’m above average no where near the best but I do have 120 games in sim in the 27S and 50 games in the 27SM both good k/d but the F-15s and F-16 if somewhat competent will win 8/10 right now

In game it doesn’t have it. In real life the F-15E does in fact have the PW-229 engine, and has been using it since the 90’s

as usual, people still complaining about the mig-29 and especially the flanker, when i have never once had an issue with the flanker. the flight model on it has allowed me to do things no other jet can do, the R-73 has allowed me to get kills i never would have been able to otherwise. if you can't win in it, you actually just suck. and no, i am by no means a "good" player, but the mig-29 and flanker are far better than people say.
You do know that "worst fm of 4th gen" is still extremely good? It just can't compete in a sustained turn fight, while IRL su-27, for example could if not match then be a bit worse than f-15 at it.
That's the crux of the problem, su-27 and mig-29 came out of a program that was made to match f-15 and f-16, they should be close by flight performance (if a bit worse) yet they're not even close in game. Meanwhile all NATO planes lose 20% less speed in turns than they should IRL, because of a faulty equation that's used for them and no one gives af.
@@aenodarr7936 i have never had an issue in a turn fight while playing the flanker, so i guess my game is bugged when i use it? couldn't be that i know how to use it, not at all.

My problem is with it is one nothing to do with the aircraft it’s but the instructor mainly how the aircraft like to fall out of the fucking sky for no reason despite having great low speed performance especially on Afganistán the with the aircraft it’s is under preforming some in gs and aoa not much my problem is with energy retention is under performing massively but the is mainly on how gaijin models aircraft and will probably never get fixed
It’s not bad it’s not good either I’m above average no where near the best but I do have 120 games in sim in the 27S and 50 games in the 27SM both good k/d but the F-15s and F-16 if somewhat competent will win 8/10 right now
