Beautiful workshop! Some nice machines in there. Do you have a favourite to use out of the lathes and the milling machines? I really like the Cazeneuve. One came up not far from me, I should really have bought it but the timing wasn’t right. One of those things I’ll regret for many years as I doubt there’s that many in the Uk!
Normally I use the Cazeneuve "full time" - but at the moment I'm the only one in the shop, so I use the Weipert lathe primarily. With a 3 jaw, and the Cazeneuve has the 600mm 4jaw. Then I can quickly make a setup and do different types of work without changing chucks all the time. But my favorites are the Caz and the Weipert. When doing long shafts and heavy cuts the TOS sus80 is great. And it's super accurate. Milling vise I prefer the Huron. But I mainly use the TOS w100a and the Caz.
And thanks allot 😊👍 - the Huron, Caz, Bridgeport and TOS hbm are all machines I have found and arranged to be sold to the shop/factory where I work. Btw, if you see a Cazeneuve for sale. Buy it. They are rare and hard to find. And you will never regret it. Factory still operate, so spare parts are no problem
A clean and well maintained shop must be a joy to work in. I have seen many a shops that look like a disaster.
Nice clean workshop with good machines!
Thanks allot. I was just cleaned and floor washed 😅 - we clean it like this every Friday 💪
