I grew up in a small town in Texas back in the seventies. I loved playing outdoors with my friends in the summers. I always had mosquito bites. My grandma would cut aloe very from our yard and applied it on my bites. It helped with itching and the swelling.
I’m 32 and have always been half-assed with my skincare. I’ve learned heaps from Drs Maxfield and Shah and my skin has drastically improved over the last few months. Their point about nothing is instant is great - something to remember everyone. Trust the process and take the time to actually try a new product :)
I started using an aloe Vera body lotion as a person who frequently burns and it’s made my skin super smooth and soothes any razor bumps etc. good to know the benefits I’ve noticed aren’t a placebo!
I definitely agree with the aloevera part. It has significantly improved the texture, pigmentation and also with my acne marks. Aloevera is my go-to plant for any skincare benefits one needs in life.
I love cucumber water; so refreshing to drink. Cucumber is my go-to veggie to eat. I need the crunch vs. potato chips (which is what I really want to eat but shouldn't).
the realization of frostbite killed me hahaha. super informative and entertaining at the same time- you don't always get that so thank you for the both of you for existing here!!
OMG! Thank you for the Aloe info! I do have latex allergy and developed a hell lot of other allergies because my doctor didn't thought we should dig deeper, and when I got help other ways it was too late! Treatment is still somewhere in the dark age. "If you know you are allergic to this avoid it!" I still don't know what can cause a problem. Most of those I figured out myself, on the hard way. I still fighting for tests. My allergies got so bad, I have to be careful what I drink, eat or put on my skin. So every little information can be life saving! I really appreciate your work guys and thank you! :) (Sorry, English is not my first language!)
I invested in a set of facial ice globes and I ❤️ them! I store them in my freezer until I’m ready to use them. Really soothing on the skin and helps with depuffing. Apparently it’s a beauty secret from France……
Hey guys, could you give your views on silicones, sulfates and isopropyl alcohol on black hair. Like if the product really moisturizers your hair, but has those ingredients, will it cause long term damage, is it actually really bad. Would really love your views. Thanks
Thank you for pointing out the risk of allergic reactions to aloe vera. I bought a huge bottle of it last summer, thinking it would soothe my skin after sun exposure. I had a massive allergic reaction (the rash itched so much I couldn’t sleep at night). I didn’t understand what was going on at first, since it’s supposed to be soothing. it actually took a few weeks for the itch to stop after I ceased using it.
Great video! My neighbor is having to split his aloe vera and offered me some so YAY! I'm in my 50s and eat a lot of salad so cukes are in the frig always. I have some seasonal allergies and sometimes wake up with puffy eyes. Cuke slices seem to help with that temporarily but like you both said, it can be a bit drying. Best wishes and thanks for the great info!!
So i just been doing this for two days , my skin does feel softer , I’m going to try for a week as well to see . I’ve used aloe cubes for my face they work so well definitely great to try ! Also if anyone try’s this hack be careful around the eyes , my eyes were irritated from it & im not allergic to cucumbers at all ❤
Thanks for another great video! I love aloe vera...my serum and moisturiser are based on it and my skin has never looked better. Just edited to add "...since I've become an older woman." :)
I remember my grandma's sister cutting the ends of cucumber and rubbing them vigorously against the middle part until it foams slightly and then putting it on her face saying it reduces puffiness and fine lines. I guess when the liquid dries it tightened the skin a little...
Hi. Finally someone gave me this answer I've been looking for.. for so long.. so thank you for that. Also, you mentioned about aloe being good for sunburns.. Could you put up more videos related to sunburn, and tan? body tan..? Like how to get rid of it.. how to prevent and treat sunburn? cuz I had gone to a dermatologist for this, and she said I developed photosensitivity and then gave me a sunscreen, which still doesn't prevent tan nor sunburn. And its really really annoying to go out with my face and body itching, red and swollen.
I have heard of both. But cucumbers on the eyes I have only heard of just cold from the fridge - never, never Frozen. I wouldn't want to do that for the reasons you explained. Like freezer burn especially on the eyes. I've also heard of aloe vera which I've only heard about to soothe wounds and help heal them. Do you agree it would be better if the cucumbers or just cold from the fridge?
Years ago, I used to slice aloe & freeze it, makes the perfect size as an under eye patch! It was nice but I did not see any improvement in my dark circles. But it was very beneficial to rub on my face after sun exposure or any skin irritation.
I have a sunburn on my face and arms it hurt very bad so my mom of course starts searching for remedy’s and found that rubbing refrigerated cucumber slices on them helps and it worked amazingly it helped sooth it instantly I recommend it for sunburns bad or not just a bit pink it helped me and I now use it all the time
