Thank you for posting an excellent video. What was your dive profile? You mention depth of 60metres, was this a deco dive? What gas mix was used? Was the video posted filmed on one dive?

@@PhilMitchell-h3p …Hi…the filming was over a ten year period….All dives were on air, using nitrox for an accelerated doco….usually a mix of 60% which was placed under the boat….using open circuit a typical dive on the Nagano was 25 minutes using twin tanks.

When the Nagano Maru was launched in 1917 in Nagasaki, Japan was one of the Western Allies against Germany. Now the ship was a victim of the changing politics and different Alliances between Japan and Germany that used up Japanese people and vital resources.

Aircraft from Woodlark Island Papua participated in raids upon Rabaul. My father, who was with the US Navy's 20th Naval Construction Battalion helped build the airstrip American and Australian Air Forces flew from. Other raids from other Allied air bases in the " Rings around Rabaul" were conducted from mainland New Guinea

No ammo on this wreck, but highly unlikely if it was after so many years passed. Still I wouldn't be hitting any remaining with a hammer.lol

The fish don't care about power, but humans do.
    We're still doing this destruction.

I don't think it will stop divers going there. Divers continue to visit the Coolidge. It looks so different from 1985 when I first visited it. If you've never been there before you won't notice
