- In October 2004 I was one of two divers to carry out a dive on this shipwreck. Although thought to be the wreck of Bega. Found were several dinner plates with the company emblem on them, plus her two props confirming it was indeed that wreck. However we were not the first to venture there as the helm and bell had been removed by still unknown divers. I began filming the wreck in 2005 and did my last dive on it 2008. The clearest water I have seen anywhere in the world with some dives around 50 metes vis...A remarkable shipwreck.

Thanks for those kind words.. More Australian stories will be released over the next few months
Awesome. There are many wrecks from the turn of the century on the New South Wales coast.
Many still undiscovered. I would love to see more videos about these.
Hi...I'll be putting a number up in the following weeks
@@shipwrecksoftheworld878 You’ve got another subscriber. Can’t wait to seem them.
@@UA-cam_user3333 Thanks..
Imagine departing with a known list, but not actually investigating the cause?
Clearly, ignoring the cause of the list didn't make anything better, it simply meant that by the time it was realised that the list was irrecoverable, they were out at sea, with nowhere for the ship to go other than the sea bed...
Skippers trying to keep to a time table lead to many a shipwreck
@@shipwrecksoftheworld878 Likewise, the aviation world sees far too many aeroplanes and helicopters participating in controlled flight into terrain (CFIT) as they attempt to fly by visual flight rules (VFR) in actual instrument flight rules (IFR) or instrument meteorological conditions (IMC) weather!
Its ofter referred to as 'Get Home Itis' in which otherwise highly experienced Pilots literally fly into clouds, mist or fog (sometimes at night) but look out of the windows to navigate safely instead of transitioning to Instrument Flight Rukes flight (the aircraft may not be equipped or certified for IFR flight and/or the Pilot may not be Instrument Rated and/or Current to fly).
The captain of the El Faro was so determined to keep to his company schedule that his actions ended up killing everyone on board and making his vessel an unintended artificial reef on the sea bed...
dude this is so cool cheers for the insight
Thanks
