The Brilliant Moral Complexity of The Last Of Us' Ending (TLOU Part 1)

The Last of Us Part I (often shortened to TLOU Part 1) has one of the most profound and thought-provoking endings in video game history, so much so that it still has people rationalising Joel's decision to save Ellie to this very day.
The Last Of Us's ending is deep, emotional, complex and filled with heaps and bounds of philosophical questions that have stumped gamers for over 10 years.
I'm not the first to discuss TLOU Part 1's ending, and I certainly won't be the last.
The frequency of TLOU Part 1 ending discussions that fill online spaces even now proves just how impactful the finale of Joel and Ellie's adventure is, and I'm here to share my take on it all.

The last of us isn't about right and wrong..its very subjective and based on circumstances and why. Based of losing his daughter, morally to him he did the right thing as he views her as his daughter and would protect her no matter what.
