For anyone who has just come across this video and feels the need to rebut, please read these comments first, please do a google search on “non consenting pelvic exam under anesthesia” , and “medical SA under anesthesia”. If you’d like to see thousands of comments - many who are victims, many who were MINORS when this happened, go to my tick tock (theflyingkitchen) where my videos have far more views. You can also watch my whole story over there if you want to take the time to do so. I cannot take each person who does not believe this is happening on - one-on-one. I just don’t have the time. Disrespect for me or any of the other victims here will be met with a very fast *block*. There are a lot of people who don’t want to believe this is happening and there are MORE who have assaulted women and girls under anesthesia and get very vicious knowing that their little secret is coming to light.
For a crash course on this topic, go to www.atyourcervixmovie.com to watch a documentary.
    A couple more things:
NBC reported that in the last 5 years alone there have been at least 3.6 millions victims of SA under anesthesia.
On April 1, the HHS FINALLY published a “guideline” asking hospitals to get written informed consent before giving pelvic exams for teaching and research purposes under anesthesia, however that does not make it policy, that does not make it law. In most cases it will simply be buried in consent forms and if YOU fail to OPT OUT then it will be SA by default. Regardless, without oversight and LAW victims will have no recourse.
If I see anyone in the comments coming just to harass and play “devil’s advocate” especially to victims who have come forward with their stories, I’ll block immediately.
Additionally, if you see anyone harassing victims here, or if you are being harassed, please tag me under the comment and I will block them. Thank you.
Take the time to research for yourself instead of asking the people here to prove this to you or take you on in a debate.
Also, if you’re a physician who has “never heard of or seen this before” do us all a favor and learn about this before you sputter and spout in some feeble attempt to shame us all for being so outraged. No one is accusing YOU PERSONALLY, and like Shakespeare wrote in Hamlet “Thou protest too much”. Makes us wonder. Hmmmm.
    Thanks very much.

Not exactly the same but I am from Canada and I had the birth of my son in a teaching hospital. I usually consent to all things educational because I've worked in the trades as a hairstylist and they absolutely need the experience. But the birth of my son i said no students, noone in the room not 100% medically necessarily. This one moment is a moment for me and my baby and noone else. So I got induced (spontaneous decision on medical staff because I was too adhd to keep track of kicks accurately). It took an hour and a half to have my son, I was in so much pain I was vomiting and it was a pretty traumatic birth experience, I fainted every few minutes. I planned to have pain relief and got none, so you could say I was pretty out of it. My partner got sick immediately after the baby was born(totally unrelated to my issues), so he wasn't all there either. Not only was there a giant team of students in the room staring at my vagina, but there were three people staring at it while I got stitched up and I didn't even know the one stitching me up was a student. The stitching didn't go great and I still can't have sex with my partner 3 months later, which granted could happen anyways. But the part I'm mad about is I said no to students ahead of time and not only were they all staring at me but a student stitched up my 2 second degree complicated tears without my informed consent.

I'm so sorry. That's terrible. They should have respected your wishes. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Every single comment matters, and when people read these stories they become aware that disrespect towards a patient can happen anywhere and that it affects us profoundly. It affects our quality of life. They need to know this. Thank you so much, again, for taking the time to share your story and thank you for being here.

I'm so glad this is illegal in my state now. I don't care where it happens or what someone's intentions are, you cannot stick your fingers in a woman's genitals without permission. When they do it to someone getting a kidney transplant, who do they think they are kidding? It's clear it's not for the patient's benefit, only for the student.

Yes, 100%. Unless you're living in Colorado, your laws against this are flimsy and you will still really need to watch the consent forms. This is baked into the culture and it's going to take a huge public outcry to literally shame the medical industry to give us the oversight, protection and recourse that we deserve. Colorado is the gold standard of laws and protection and will be the new model that activists use from here on out. But what we need on top of laws is safety in the culture. That means every American is going to need to be aware of this and fight like hell. Thank you so much for being here and thank you for your support.

@TheFlyingKitchen Thanks for the tip, I'm in New York, so I'll have to look at the specifics in our law. I do have a young doctor friend (early 30's) who went to medical school in NYS, and when I asked her about it she said they hire people to practice pelvic exams on, and she wasn't asked to do one to a woman in surgery (at least at that point in her training, I would have to ask again to be sure). So, I'm hoping the culture in my state reflects her experience. 🤞
If you don't mind me asking, have you ever heard of these exams being done on children before puberty? I hope not. Because so many kids get their tonsils out when they are really little, and it would be particularly disturbing if medicine isn't even protecting very young children.
The Hysteria podcast had a doctor talking about the new guidelines a few weeks ago. Maybe you could get on their podcast to talk about this subject if you want to. :)

With children I worked in psychiatric crisis and all of them were victims of adult abuse. Never occurred to me than adult would violate a child in a hospital. I should’ve known. I had the worst nightmare at last night after thinking about all of this. Well at least it ended with my husband security guy while we waited for police!

Just found your channel today. I had no idea that this was a thing and ir disgusts me. It's like if you're a woman you only get healthcare in exchange for the use and abuse of your body. Like i'd heard of this because I live in France where it's illegal. But i didn't think there was any developed nation still doing it ! It really fucking sucks. Not sure how they're going to make it illegal though. If you can impose pregnancy and all the risks and intense medical activity on the body that this entrails on a woman, if her body has no rights against pregnancy and those medical acts then they can force any medical act on us. Either we have bodily autonomy or we don't. Either we have basic human rights to protect our bodies or we don't. It's all interconnected so given that the USA is doubling down on the whole women's bodies don't count philosophy, I doubt we'll ever get the protection that we deserve. It's all just human trafficking and it's crazy that bill Cosby was convicted for this but doctors do it every day and it's all fine.

    • @TheFlyingKitchen
      @TheFlyingKitchen  3 місяці тому +5

Yes, precisely! It is human trafficking. Well, hopefully people can rise up and really fight this. This is a non-partisan issue. It should be. I'm living in Germany right now and it sure is nice to know I can have surgery and not be a$$aulted. I doubt I would be able to do this work if I was in the US. I'd probably be in bed in fetal position. This is a literal nightmare. Thank you so much for commenting and thank you for being here. I really appreciate your voice.

@@TheFlyingKitchen I only learned about the July effect after my incision was so poorly botched. Later, I figured it would be considered a cosmetic procedure to correct it and now I am paying for the rest of my life. All because I didn’t want to undergo another surgery to correct the incision.
The surgeon should’ve done it on the spot when he saw what the kid had done but he didn’t care anymore. I accidentally picked someone who is too damn tired and close to retirement to care. I tried to be polite because I thought I’d get over it. Nope.
The constricting scar over the bladder affects everything. It caused reflux to my kidneys and damage there as well and it’s a constant cause of infection from not having proper bladder flow.

Of all dates, July 1st was my hysterectomy, and the July effect is the first day of somebody’s first time doing anything and everything on a patient by interns. It’s called “the July affect”! Probably much higher incidence of all student intrusions, and my incision was botched to the point of causing kidney failure. Imagine how shocked I was as a nurse and a patient to discover they no longer take the Hippocratic oath. What do they take? The “Predators Pledge?“😮

Thank You-I am, but I admit I’m completely triggered because I have a dear dear friend who modeled for top designers for many years, she was internationally known as both a musician and a model, and toured with an Orchestra and then all hell breaks loose when a rogue sexual predator OB/GYN performed hysterectomy and literally mutilated her.
Hearing it makes me wonder how rampant this is because doctors started passing her around. As a nurse, I never would have fallen for any of this.
Her doctor referred her to his buddy to perform a colonoscopy by claiming to her that she had “malignant polyps”. She was nowhere near the routine colonoscopy age threshold!
There is no such condition as a malignant polyps.
Poor child went in like a lamb, and was almost literally slaughtered. No wonder she gets so passionate, crying and angry when she’s giving her medical history, and everyone listening thinks it all happened 10 years ago (so she must be delusional (as stated in her medical record)
…about being stalked for months by a gastroenterologist) but no, she was young, beautiful, and performing when they pulled her out of her life and ruined it. If it takes the rest of my life I’m going to make things right for her.
There’s no doubt she underwent at least one pelvic exam under general anesthesia but my dark suspicion is that it was much worse. And in her light and joyful humor she says “I wish he had just graped me!” I get it.
For the moment I am just praying for enough angels enough miracle- wielding doctors to do their magic and make her as well as possible. The last 12 weeks she would’ve died and I got involved. She is now better able to give her history and being heard
It’s been the honor of a lifetime to help her because I have very few opportunities to learn everything do use everything I’ve learned and make someone’s life better or even save it.
She was sent to Germany To have her bladder reconstructed. I hope this means that Germany surgical quality for women is much more precise and more consistently successful. I’m super grateful NCPUA is illegal there.
