Thank you very much for sharing knowledge.
Glad it was helpful!
Why does my soldering not work. It keeps forming balls. Is the heat too high or too close?
Since I don't know what you are using I can only guess what is going on. My best guess is either you are using a higher temperature solder than your heat source can completely melt or there is not enough flux in the solder you are using. Often with the prefluxed solder wire there will be spots where it didn't get enough flux when it was made. I keep flux on hand for just that reason. When I run in to that situation I treat it like I would solder without flux. If it is suppose to be prefluxed wire there will likely just be a small patch that won't flow. Solder will not flow without flux. Hope that helps.
Please, may I know the type of welding rod?
Hi Abom. It is not a welding rod. It is prefluxed acid core solder that has a melting point of 300 degrees. You can find it at Jan's Jewelry Supplies www.jansjewels.com/soldering-paste-soldering-torches-1.html
where is what you see at the end to support the clip?
I am sorry. I dont understand the question.
@@Jansjewels in the 6 minutes and 26 seconds on the left side there is an object to hold the earring clip in place, where can it be found?
I think you are referring to the helping hand also known as a third hand. It is not absolutely necessary but can be very helpful. Jansjewels.com item 0313-00.
Hello, I have been following your videos and notice they all evolve play dough. Are there other things you've used instead of playdough for peices you make alot such as air dry clay? Im trying to find a less wasteful method for pieces I make a lot and can just make a permanent cast of the piece.
I have not found anything easier to use or more economical than play dough. The problem you may have with an air dry clay is that it may not hold your stones in place once the clay is dry. You can press a finished piece into wet floral board, but with use the floral board will fall apart. See Video 1 for more information on wet floral board. ua-cam.com/video/-NCDegQxhyY/v-deo.html
Hello, I would like to ask the metallic part of material, in turkey all the rhinestone chains are made of alluminium and i wonder if heat gun can work for this material too, or not? Thank you in advance
I am sorry to say that aluminum cannot be soldered with a heat gun or a torch. The findings used in the video are plated brass findings. Jan's Jewelry Supplies has rhinestone chain that can be soldered with a heat gun: www.jansjewels.com/preset-rhinestone-chain.html
hi how are you? Can I work with tin to make those tendrils?
Sorry for the delay. My husband took care of the youtube responses. He was sick for a while and passed away just under two weeks ago. i am now trying to figure out how to manage the account. I am not sure what you mean by tendrils. I assume you are referring to the settings. If so, I would say yes, since you can solder to tin. However, I am not sure why you would make the settings when they are very inexpensive already made. I would only go to that much trouble if I was working with sterling or gold.
Salve possibile sapere il nome del filo e dell oggetto che usa per saldarlo grazie
Sorry. I don't understand.
I love the tutorial, but I am shocked that you’re outing an “ear clip” on the back? Who would ever want to wear a clip-on earring?
Many of our customers still prefer using ear clips. It is a simple matter to solder earring posts to the earrings instead of the ear clips.
La vede degli strass è in alluminio?
Sorry. I don't understand.
