This isn’t a puzzle game. It’s more like a strategy game where the challenge is money, demand, and time management. Comparing this to other train puzzle games like Railbound is a bit ignorant.
OpenTTD graphically is very different but feature-wise feels more complete than this game since trains can't just no-clip through each other and you actually have to setup a good rail network
train valley 2 also seems to be more "feature complete", although its debatable whether to consider it more feature complete or simply a different feature set, esp for openTTD which is very very different mechanically and only really shares the part of having trains
I think this is more of a puzzle game compared to OpenTTD, which is mainly about becoming filthy rich by playing the market. They are just completely different genres. With the only link being: Trains exist.
@@Sopsy_Hallow The problem with TV2 is you have to manually switch rails constantly. There is no logic as YOU are the logic of the train network. Want to avoid trains from crashing, YOU have to go flip the switch on the rails. Great game, but annoying feature which makes it only a puzzle game and not really a 'train' game per say.
I'd compare this more with something like Railway Empire. Only trains and more focused goals, like this, but the business side and the logistics are more complicated than this.
Hey Aliensrock, the game where we add non-poker cards into poker to play blackjack (Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers) just made its official release! Will look forward to what your runs look like.
This is the third instalment of this series, the first two being Train Valley and Train Valley 2. They are more of a puzzle game than a train game. It unfortunate that they've removed train collision, as that was a pretty big part of managing your trains in TV2. If I had to guess, I'd assume there is a challenge mode in TVW which reintroduces it.
It can work, but it needs more depth in other areas, such as the business side. Railroad Tycoon 3 comes to mind as a game where trains pass through each other, but there's enough else going on that it's still fun.
I do love trains. Also, not sure if this hasn't been said before but dungeons & degenerate gamblers, the blackjack roguelike game is fully out as of yesterday.
this makes me REALLY want to see you play Rail Route. I don't actually remember off the bat whether you played it already or not, but it's a train micro-management game so I think it'd be right up your alley lol
Why is this a train game? As far as I can tell none of the vehicles move like trains. The ENTIRE POINT of a train game is track management so trains doesn't drive on top of each other. Is that really to much complication to ask for?
Train systems are satisfying, easy to understand, relaxing to watch, and interesting to optimize That's, i think, why train based games become bangers Conveyers also get a big piece of attention
Watching this suddenly made me think of the Steamworld series, and Steamworld Build in particular. Has Tyler ever dabbled in the series? Build seems like one he'd dominate pretty handily, considering it's a townbuilder-style of game.
it's like a mix of anno and mini motorways. you know tyler wouldn't agree to a sponsorship if he didn't like it and I agree, it's a really cool concept.
Open TTD might be a bit too unfocused for Tyler's liking? If I'd recommend a Tycoon style game, I'd recommend one that has firm objectives, like Railway Empire, Railroad Tycoon 3, or Chris Sawyer's Locomotion. (Chris also being the creator of the original TTD)
Holy crap, not even 30 seconds into the gameplay but it looks exactly like a similar train game I fell in love with years ago (and I was given it for free!)
@@TheJawesomeOne That looks pretty cool. Perhaps a little slow on the updates, given it's still early access after more than 5 years, but it's definitely something I will give a closer look.
Holy crap I didn't know you hid steam codes in most your vids what the heck! Unfortunately I got out of work too late to watch it in time, but I know to be looking now! Been watching for years and this is (I think) my first time noticing one that isn't too obvious. Keep making great vids Tyler 👍
I found 4 out of 5 codes. All used up. Bet the last one is too. It is near the buy locomotive at 1:04 ; on the top of the yellow train line (its really dark) at 5:33 ; top left when out of lights joke at 8:48 and the 1889 quest at 10:17 ; Anyone found the last one?
So... Its essentially Deckelevens railroads 2, but much simplified. Its not bad but i prefer all the headaches with the traffic being forced through a single entrance without dying
the moment i saw that trains have no collisions i realized that this game kinda mehh... seeing railroad empire with graphics like these would be nice though.
GET TRAIN VALLEY WORLD HERE - tblink.co/TVWAliensrock

oil up tyler
I'll buy this once I put down OpenTTD... The very concept of train game reawoke my addiction
I don't know why, but it's somehow disappointing that the trains can just pass through each other
Yeah, the challenge of properly building tracks to avoid holdups is literally the main thing of the genre
Absolutely. Watching trains crash into each other and try to avoid it next time is the main drive of train games.
This isn’t a puzzle game. It’s more like a strategy game where the challenge is money, demand, and time management. Comparing this to other train puzzle games like Railbound is a bit ignorant.
There's definitely something happening when trains cross but i have no idea what. And also yea, it is
I thibk they are comparing it more to mini motorways@@The-Caged-King

Yes, just this. Seems like openTTD but exclusively about trains while also making them a lot more forgiving for some reason.

tyler: i wonder why the train videos are performing so well.

idk why but i feel like a lot of tyler's audience is autistic
Hi Tyler❤️ Do you know if Paquerette is finished yet? It’s one of my favorite games you’ve played and I’d love to see more!
There's also a bunny breeding game from the same devs?
They did not seriously make this old 0-4-0 (Novelty) go 48mph... that would be insane for a locomotive from like 1830 💀
I think they mixed up mph with km/h...
@@jankoodziej877 That would make more sense
I'm going to agree with everyone else who thinks the game is too high level - a train game that has no use of sidings doesn't feel like a train game.
It can work, but it needs more depth in other areas, such as the business side. Railroad Tycoon 3 comes to mind as a game where trains pass through each other, but there's enough else going on that it's still fun.

Exactly, I was disappointed to find this is basically just a "truck" game. Or a horse wagon game I guess, given the time period.
Yeah, seeing the trains pass through each other ruined any hype I had for the game
0:08 ASDFMOVIE REFERENCE ⁉⁉⁉
Wait till you see the thumbnail
@@the_nick_knack Well I stand correct
Oh wait it actually is
This game seems pretty good! They should really make it so you have to plan to avoid trains colliding though.
Needs to be train collision, either stop lights or extra rail allowing trains to pass
Train systems are satisfying, easy to understand, relaxing to watch, and interesting to optimize
That's, i think, why train based games become bangers
Conveyers also get a big piece of attention
Sheldon likes trains, he should play this game
OMG the ASDF reference!

Love the asdf reference❤😂
O damn, thanks for the code. Going to immediately try it out
You should play openTTD its like this game but different and old
And not exclusively about trains or specific goals, it's a sandbox!
It's also like 30 MEGAbytes in size and free.
Looks like a modern, arcade-ish Railroad Tycoon. That's an old but awesome game you should check out.

hi Aliensrock ,if you REALY like trains than i suggest playing railway empire, and if people like it ,maybe you could do a small series
They turned Train Valley into Railway Empire and it looks great

Nice reference and call back
Ngl, when Tyler started growing out his beard it was kinda sketch. Its coming in nicely now.
No, I do not think I'm a smart boy 😞 I'm sorry for failing you, Tyler
Looking good, a bit of a upgrade over Train valley 2
Do you think Tyler is still part of the super funky man club?
Can we talk about how it takes 5 years to deliver 12 lightbulbs
I literally just saw a video that said that trains make any game better and that they've never seen a game with a train that wasn't amazing
Another sale made. Can't resist the trains!
open ttd simplified and with goals. cool idea.
Tyler, I caught the Not Like Us reference. I see you.

The ASDF reference at the start of the video 🤌
This game was free on epic at one point
Aliensrock and rce doing the same video 😮
I'm wondering whether "Please Fix The Road" would be a game that Types would enjoy.
this game is basically a modern version of sid meier's Railroads
I will probably buy this. But really, just remake Sid Miers Railroads (WITH MULTIPLAYER) I'd preorder that. ha
Might get this, cool video.
Fun fact: Mucca is "cow" in italian
I thought the word "Mucca" had cow vibes. Idk why.
It's definitely nothing to do with the fact half your fan base is neurodivergent, loving trains
