Neil, this is awesome! Just brought my JUNO-X home and you are helping me dramatically with the learning curve! As you said in the intro, yes, it's so much easier if you can watch someone walk you through it. Thanks again!!
You really needed to show how the enter buttom gives you a list of all the category sounds instead of the waveforms. This is essential when you have 150+ patches like Synth Bass, Leads, etc. otherwise it looks like you get one patch per category of model.
I am confused when I go to the part as you did at 3:47 in the video. My light in the yellow buttons 5 to 8 are Off but in yours, they flash. Any ideas why? I only bought this days ago and it might be a new firmware version compared to yours
Thanks for this, Neil! At 9:23 you show a sound of the Model PR-X, PX006 Belltree Vox. This sounds like a classic JD-800 sound. Did you have to purchase this PR-X model as an expansion pack or sound pack?
JUNO X GANG!! Insta sub! This synth Super Powerful! Great info! I’m less productive with it because I get caught up in playing with the synth at the expense of the music. Lol. But in the long run the synth knowledge pays off!
Parts one through four on the left actually select the given part. The other four parts on the right simply activate the keyboard so you can hear which ever parts u selected played by the keyboard. If you unselect one of the parts on the right and play the keyboard you wont hear a thing. So the part on the left and right need to both be pressed if you want to hear the part played by the keyboard.
Question: Does part 1 have to be a Juno x preset? Does Part 2 have to be a 106? Are parts and sound engines interchangeable? I get it if part 5 has to be drums. I’m just wondering if the other 4 parts are more flexible for modules.
To save a scene (or a tone, or a tone and a scene), you press the shift button along with the menu button. This brings up the save options. If the Juno recognises that you have a changed scene and a changed tone, but only try to save the scene, you will be asked if you want to lost the tone changes. All quite clever stuff to keep you right.
The Juno x is painfully under represented in orientation vids so good job. Keep em coming.
Thanks (sorry for slow reponse - just read your comment!)
Agreed. Tons of Jupiter stuff out there. Juno x not so much
My left ear heard every word.
😂
Mono, the new stereo
keep em comming i learned a lot from these vids.
Ah, finally I know now how it works, so: Thank you very much - and now: headphones on (mind the neighbours ^^) and make some music :)
Exactly the result I hoped for - enjoy!

“It’s a very good manual”. Is this a different manual than comes with the synth?
how do I get my right speaker to work? :(
Thank you very much for this ✌️🎹
Hey. I really appreciate you not making the synth 3 times louder than your voice. That is so rare in synth videos
Thanks for saying - have to say that it bugs me too, hence why I try to adjust levels below the speaker-blowing/ear-splitting level!

Hi - thanks for your comment! This PR-X bank is included - it's not a paid extra.
Thanks for that information. Found it!

Thank you kindly for this video It helped me tremendously!
Superb and really helpful thanks. Really looking forward to next vids (he says, extremely hopefully)
Can’t wait for the follow-up on patch editing. This video was a welcome eye opener. Thanks!

What are your thoughts on the Juno X vs Jupiter X and maybe the current Fantom ?
Very interesting! Thank you.

Parts 1 to 4 you can mix and match between all the engines no problem. As you observe, part 5 is reserved for drums/rhythm.
Amazing video. Thank you!!!
Great video, thank you very much. 👍
Great tutorial - many thanks!
Great run-through!
Thanks!
When you were editing the parts in that scene, did the new parts get saved automatically in that scene? How do you save scenes?
