Yeah I think there are some clever things people will be able to do with it. But since I'm not so clever I'll have to wait and see what people come up with 😆
id love this mod if theres a config to make it not transfer rpm, just allow rpm to pass through, i think that would make more sense than light transfering it
hmmm maybe it's cause I just woke up and need caffeine but I'm not sure what you mean by allow it to pass though and not transfer it? (my brain is wondering what the difference between those is as transfering mean to allow to pass though in my understanding sorry if I'm not understanding) I think the premise is that the optical receptor uses the intensity and frequency of the beam and converts it back into SU... I think ha at least that is what I understood.
@KopieOG oh gotcha haha, that would be interesting, what kind of things would you use that for with create. I like the idea but trying to think how you you use it, thought if you add more things people will make cool stuff with it lol
Damn, I'm surprised that infrared and ultraviolet don't cause damage alongside the gamma emissions... IR and UV can be quite damaging IRL, in various quantities, and/or if you get the right (read: "wrong") kinds.
I agree, I don't really see the point of the polarization filters. There are easier ways. I'm struggling to find the point of the mod altogether. I get that it could easily allow you to change where it goes and and what strength of SU over long distances without hardware and that it could be rigged to be controlled by remote or a series of levers or buttons. I think the main sell is the effects of the light like the microwaves and gamma waves. These are already useful as turrets or perimeter defense and I could see radio waves being used to deliver text to signs remotely or certain types of glass or crystals being used to make lasers. Expanding these functionalities to allow them to be easily incorporated into the create workflow, have flexible functionality as crafting machines and weaponry, and to more easily create certain resources would really tempt me to download it.
@@mccastlegaming I think I would probably make the light sources not follow a grid (making them move in a any direction) but that would be too complex I assume
this is a very cool mod it uses light instead of electricity and that is very cool!!!

@@mccastlegaming i think it would be fun if it worked like a clutch, not just wireless stress transfer

@@mccastlegamingthe wires hooked to your pc from the wall doesn’t generate electricity
It transfers it
Hope that clears it lol
@nuclearfart1568 I mean... um yes obviously haha 😄 love the username btw ha

@Caldoric I'll be curious if they end up adding these levels of lights to the mod, it is a pretty new mod who knows! Would be cool though
Really nice mod. I wish it used The Factory Must Grow's 2-variable electricity system (voltage + current) instead of directly using rotation though
@DrunkGeko oooohhh yeah thay would be awesome! Maybe they can add it as an option for nod integration? Hmm 🤔
Installing this rn I LOVE create
Yes! then come back and let us know the cool things you do with it!
what if you fire 3 condensed beams into another beam condenser
Probably not explode like I would want it too 😆 I'm pretty sure I tried this and it doesn't work but I'll have to try again and see.

cool
Yeah it is a neat one!
Lazer thing? It can be sent power diagonal or curved.
(Like botentia? Mana transfer)
No not currently, thay would be cool though!
I thought about making a mod like this but someone beat me to it
I'm curious what would you have done different in your version?
