They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. i love dreamcatcher! they are different and you are right they make it work rock + kpop! they actually make lots of genre fusion, their company is very creative and these ladies are all talented. They are the only kpop group i follow. Thank you for reacting to this song one of my favorites.
Thank you for Dreamcatcher’s reaction. Dreamcatcher is trying to incorporate rock into K-pop. But, in Korea, rock sound is not mainstream and Dreamcatcher is underrated. I recommend Dreamcatcher’s Reason. This song shows Dreamcatcher's journey in K-pop.
dreamcatcher \:D/ they are a vocal centric kpop group, but they mix in a lot of different instrumentation into their songs and are known for using a lot of rock/metal which isn't popular in korea. the curse of the spider is originally an electronic dance/rock bside but they remixed it with heavier instrumentation for the recent concert tour. unfortunately the video you saw has cleaned up audio so you don't hear them hyping up the crowd and the clip is also in korea where crowds are usually more 'tame' :D check out some of their mvs. they release albums in series, usually trilogies. the most recent completed trilogy is the apocalypse trilogy - maison, vision, and bon voyage. you're see they are a lot more towards pop than metal but that said they do have some pretty heavy stuff. it's funny you mention the song as a good entry for kpop fans to get into metal because that's what they are, bridge builders. they have a lot of kpop fans who never listen to rock/metal and surprisingly a lot of metalheads who never thought they would listen to pop, kpop nonetheless lol.

Like IvyShy said, they're a vocal kpop group who incorporate rock in metal to varying degrees in all of their title tracks and some of their b-sides. They are genre benders so most of their songs are usually a blend of several genres. The one you pointed out as having the less sweet-sounding voice is actually the main rapper of the group, Dami, and she has a fairly deep rapping voice. With that said, she also sings occasionally and has a really high sweet tone when singing. They're a really talented group and are very unique. I look forward to seeing what you react to next!
Really liked your reaction! They are certainly something different in the kpop industry incorporating rock and sometimes even metal (like this song) into their releases. Most of their music is less heavy then this but it still definitely stands out compared to the kpop standard. For other songs that lean more to the metal/heavier rock side I would mostly recommend so called B-sides (should be called A-sides if you ask me haha) like "Break the wall" or from their newest release "Rising". Some of their more rock oriented main releases are Bon Voyage and most of their earlier stuff until Piri/Deja vu. As side tracks they release all kinds of songs from pop to edm to ballads, they are very diverse and sound great in all kinds of music (in my opinion of course). It is true that their voices aren't very oriented towards metal while they probably are more than the average kpop vocalist. One of their members, Siyeon (the one with red hair here) did sing in a school metal band approximately 10 years ago and does in my opinion fit the style best (she also is their main vocalist), the one with the deeper voice is "Dami" (main rapper) and I also think she fits this style very well.
Dami is the rapper and she's using her rap voice here. Her singing voice is very high and sweet. She does it all. Describing them by hair color is pointless though because they change constantly.

While this is probably their heaviest song yet, they are beyond awesome in all they do. Seriously, this gets ridiculous.
