Love this video. Really looking forward to our "once in a lifetime" visit to Botswana and the Okavango in October. As UK pensioners, this really is a Once in a lifetime opportunity!!
I always enjoy your Botswana videos. Love the Delta area! Your video reminded us a lot of our trip to the Khwai region last year. Magnificent place! I cannot get tired of that region of Botswana Enjoy your trip to Mana Pools - A bucket list item for us...
@@Bambotb They might attack if you're walking out in the open. But it's EXTREMELY rare for them to attack even open safari cars or camps. As far as I know there's only been a single attack on campers in Botswana in the last 20 years and that guy was sleeping in a regular tent and not a roof top tent and more importantly the lion was old and sick.
@@AndrewSenior that is awesome. You are in for an adventure. Honestly I would prefer to be going to Mana pools and would have if I hadn’t paid for Bots already. Have an awesome trip.
Amazing, night photos with stars and lions. Great maps, any suggestions on the road to Xakanaxa go through South camp or Khwai, which has less water crossing. Thank you.
Thanks for watching! The road from Khwai/Moremi North Gate to Xakanaxa can be tricky depending on the season. The road from South Gate to Xakanaxa is typically the better option with less water.
Thanks for watching, TJ! We got up before first light that morning and our torches picked up their eyes looking back! We hopped into our vehicles, they started to become more active as the sun came up and then moved through our camp like inquisitive and playful kittens. Probably about 2hrs and they then moved off down towards the Khwai channel.
Thank you and thanks for watching! Yeah, there was quite a bit of water versus previous visits up there - makes for an adventure! Sony A7iii and GoPro 8 are my current go-to cameras.
@@TK-hw7zt For wildlife a 200-600mm and occasionally a 70-200mm. Then for landscapes a 28-70mm and 12-24mm. You can see some of my stills on instagram @seniorza
A very nice video, the background music is annoying and I can assure you that this video will be so much better without the constant background music, but still a superb video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching and for your feedback! It’s tricky to produce these and keep an entire audience happy, and the music is often a filler for silence and/or where I felt audio from a clip wasn’t suitable.
Thanks for watching! Difficult to answer that question as I have been doing these tours for many years and in that time have built up my equipment. This means that my costs are the fuel and vehicle cross-border logistics, then the accommodation and park fees, any extra activities, and lastly the food and drink. If you are interested in doing this yourself then you can hire a fully equipped overland vehicle from Avis, Britz 4x4, Kubu 4x4 or similar. You can book all accommodation using Botswana Footprints. Food and drink can be purchased in Botswana. Also check if you need a visa for Botswana. Hope this helps, but if you need more info then connect with me on Instagram (@seniorza) and we can DM.
Beautiful video, and the soundtrack is unbelievable therapeutic, thank you so very much!

@@AndrewSenior how can you feel safe in the wild with them ? They can easily attack

@Andrew Senior Adventures Thank you, Sir.
Wow just superb what an adventure. Wonder how long you had to wait for the lions to move of before you could get out.

Lovely
Amazing footage!! We were in Khwai last month, luckily not as much water as I saw here. Really enjoyed the video. What gear do you shoot with?

@@AndrewSenior Thanks so much, and which are your most used lenses?

wow, that was insane, to be guarded by lions
Thanks for watching! Yes, we were lucky with the lions - Botswana’s wildness is somewhat unique in today’s world :)
Great man, how much does it cost to have these tours. And how much did it cost you
