This armchair traveler is lapping up the excitement and the spender of the wild.. Thank you for taking us along. .As a trained first aider I found your kit discussion so interesting. Nobody pans for an emergency. Being properly prepared can mean the difference between an incident or a death. Stay safe. Much love from Vanrhynsdorp
Thank goodness those are friendly Elephants! I've heard of so many of them bearing a grudge against people, and those grumpy one's could have destroyed the camp site and flattened all the bakkies. I would've been shit scared.
Just wanted to say thank you for the new longer format content we've been getting lately. Not sure if it requires more or less editing but I for one appreciate it very much.
Love what you do!! We have a lodge in the Mababe Depression Called Nokanyana. Please let us know when anyone needs help on their trip. We will be there for sure! Thanks Again for the Video! Loved watching! ...Roots & Journeys
That elephant was just awesome! An interaction like that is actually better than any game drive where you go out looking for the animals. great episode!
What a magnificent video.....again! Awesome for assisting the fellow travelers....thats what its all about....great wildlife footage...true reflection of what Bostwana is all about. Looking forward to the next one!
Thanks for watching Martin! I’m glad you enjoyed it! It was certainly a consideration being woken up in the middle of the night, we have our South African paranoia that it’s a trap or someone is trying to pull one over on us, but we pushed through that and we’re able to actually help on the end. I think luckily we did.
I am enjoying your videos, and learning a lot, never thought about first aid training before. I need this type of training especially when I am home away from Cape Town in Drakensberg, Underberg
I shouldn't look at your video's, I get overwhelmed by the urge of being in those magnificent places, brought so beautifully by you, NOW 😟😃👌. Still some months to go and I will be there again, in the mean time enjoying more of your videos. Thanks for the effort it must take to film and edit. Wishing you more adventures. Oh and also thanks for saving my fellow Dutchies in their (and my) nightmare situation.
Hahah! I’m sorry, but I’m not sorry! 😋 I’m glad to be able to share the stories with you and I’m very glad I could help your fellow Dutchies!! 👏🏻 goodluck in the future on your adventure!
Top notch video and editing. Well done and thank for sharing beautiful Botswana and the Okavango with us! It’s a magic place and takes me back to my youth and travel as a student to the Okavango.
8:55 the music, instant fading voice and that bird rattling just took me way back when I was just a little boy roaming around the forest without a single care in the world back then. I hardly knew this suburban areas, per se the closest place i knew was our neighbouring house in our rural place. Gone are the sweet old days when we used to live wild and free. Thanks a lot for uploading this types episodes... man you reconnected me back to nature in a way I can't explain for you to get me. I’m so proud of the work you guys are doing indeed keep up!
Upgrading to a bigger battery should be a better option for you. When I upgraded from a 100ah AGM to a 200ah I had much less charge level anxiety and found out I could run without solar for 4-5 days. I am actually thinking about changing to lithium and trying to use induction cooking rather than gas. Great video as always.
So spoiler alert, I made the plunge and went to 400AH of lithium and a 3000w inverter for induction after coming back from this trip 😋 I have it in the truck but not hooked up yet, so will be playing with all of that soon
Amazing stuff we are experiencing through you guys. I get so involved when watching my body jumps at some of the scary encounters you have captured. The day you shoot in 3D there will be a lot of messy living rooms I tell you. Keep up the good work!
That was a wonderful experience. The encounter with such a large animal was even scary for me while watching, I wonder how it felt with you literally there. Thanks for such an absolute video
You guys are so brave.. you gotta be the bravest to camp in the African wild.. have yoy ever encounter the lion? Or coming in your camp.? The hippo and elephants.. am from Namibia and i want to go on a solo wild adventure in Zimbabwe and Botswana.
Absolutely well done video!! Loved seeing this part of the Okavango Delta, the wildlife, the landscapes, and your machines! How incredible! Also hope Andy is feeling better and bro, what’s up with his truck?? We need updates!! Lol sending good vibes from the States! 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!! 👏🏻👏🏻 his truck is well! We did a trip with it recently over the holidays and the video will come out after this series is completed 🤟🏻
Signing my son up for the Pre Med course in preparation for Med school. Thanks for that! Love the quality of your video and music tracks. What camera do you use? 4k? Rgds Craig
Great channel and enjoyed the Bots trip. On my bucket list and some great tips. One question, what is the make and name of the small roof tray in front of your rtt? I need a similar setup. Cheers and safe overlanding!
Thanks Riaan! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. The one with the fire wood is the EeziAwn k9 roofrack, and then the one that the solar panels is mounted to on the tent is also from EeziAwn 🤙🏻
Nice videos...really enjoy it. Want to ask you a question...what brand rims you have on the Hilux and what is the off-set of the rims?....looks very nice!!
Does the technology, need to charge batteries, constant monitoring takeaway from your time in the bush? There has to be a line somewhere. Having done the same trip in the 90s I enjoyed watching your videos. Great memories.
@@RoamOverlanding it’s changed but not so much. Thankfully over the years I’ve been able to get back. I’m a pastor and we visit the Okavango panhandle often. When I visited in the 90s the Black Pools area (wasn’t called that) was a shortcut to Third Bridge. Always cool to wonder if wildlife you see are descendants of wildlife I’ve seen. Big world and yet so very small. I can remember having tea in the same spot in Moremi or pulling up under Baobabs in Savuti. We’ve even stocked up with the Beef Boys as well. Enjoyed riding along with your team via video. Good stuff.
Hello, fantastic episode with stunning wildlife experiences. Loved it. We will travel in september visiting the Mogotho camp and Moremi NP. Can you give me some in sight about the Magotho camp? Are there toilets and water? Ist is very difficult to find out how the current status is. Thank you so much. Petra
Great video thanks for posting. I did a two week self drive camping safari in Namibia in October 2022. Hopefully Botswana within a few years. Did you book the campsites yourself and where do you pay the park fees?
Hi Adrian, thanks for all the great content! Do you recall the campsite number you were originally setup in and what number campsite you moved to? Cheers!

Let me check, it’s a 0 offset, Predator 35 by Procomp I think 👌🏻
Great video, what size tyres and what suspension setup is the white Hilux running ?
Both hiluxes run the same tire size, 265/70/17, the white Hilux uses OME
