Living in Canada but Grew up in Zimbabawe and love our Botswana neighbours. When I miss Southern Africa, I like to watch “the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency”. It was filmed in Botswana.
I loved that show. My wife is white (Scottish) and that show made her prepare for southern africa. I'm Zimbabwean and I always enjoy driving to Botswana from Zim
Botswana has been the most magical country. That shot of the herd of elephants crossing the river at sunset, I can only imagine how much better it was in person.
We were in Kasana earlier this year, did the same Chobe river cruise,it was great , saw loads of wildlife ,but very hot . Stayed in a river lodge and had the first hot shower after 10 days of bush camps, bliss! Botswana is a fantastic country, great wildlife and friendly folks.
Brilliant abso bloody brilliant ,thank you for taking us to Botswana,as we have followed all your journey we feel compelled to say a massive thanks for your catalogue of superb videos of your journey with trudy Take care and stay safe Fiona and Gordon from bonnie Scotland
Welcome to Botswana! On your way down to Francistown stop over at Elephant Hills, Nata bird Sanctuary, if you can make it to the Makgadikgadi Pan a visit to Kubu Island is definately worth a visit. From there head to Serowe 30 km out of Serowe is the Khama Rhino Sanctuary, where you have a wide range of animal, including most probably the largest population of white rhinos , which can be seen within meters of you vehicle.
That is true, but I believe South Africa is so much beautiful. Botswana's people are much friendly and safer though. I have visited all the South African countries by driving , hence my experience
As a white South African from Johannesburg, I have run deliveries up to Gaborone and loved the trips! The people there are friendly and helpful. I wish SA cities were like that.

That footage of the elephants from the river during sunset was EPIC!!! You truly captured a moment that evoked emotions and there is no doubt that will be one of your most romantic memories of your world travels. BRAVO!!!
I've never been to Botswana. This video has made me want to. Definitely going to check out flights from Cape Town. I also think we'll follow your lead and book into The Big 5 lodge and look for Mojo with his boat 😊 I believe the Chobe river is an epic exploration too 👏 👏 Thank you for sharing another wonderful video. 😊
I’m just amazed at what you have both accomplished these last 4 and a half years. And, I’m a bit sad that your journey is nearly over for purely selfish reasons, what am I going to do now on a Sunday afternoon (in Australia)?
