I love your work, Evan. You have no idea how instrumental you’ve been to my fandom. I truly appreciate how you treat everyone. Keep up the great work and I wish you the best!
I enjoy all of your stuff, Evan. I subscribe to the DMN just for your content.
Thanks! But I do have to say my colleagues do great work. It's well-worth the investment. Thanks for subscribing.
You're doing a great job, Evan. Your reporting and insight is always top notch.
I’ve long appreciated your insight and this new format is great. Thanks for all you do for Ranger’s fans, truly glad for your work.
would u look at that, my favorite rangers reporter...
Oh yup! Love my Evan report 🙌 can’t wait to see Josh Jung’s first home game for the rangers 😉
Good stuff as usual Evan! Being in St. Louis now I'm always impressed by the fielding capabilities of the Cards staff! You sum it up well, when that rare occasion arises to field they must be flawless.
Just gotta play better fundamental baseball.
I just want the phrase “Hey America it’s me Evan Grant” on a shirt
Even old Evan, keep up the great work!
Your schtick is really wonderful. Honing your comedic edge before our eyes makes it great to watch. Could you tell us what is going on with Owen White’s injury? He went on the IL and disappeared. thanks
I've been told the Rangers are going to be a bit "extra" cautious but he is expected to pitch again before the year is out.
You were so chipper there at the beginning!! But then Kole Calhoun became a topic.
Well well well if it isn’t my favorite bald headed rangers reporter ☺️
A thought… maybe have Kenny Rogers work with the pitchers on fielding their position. Few did it as well as he did.
Is it possible to have Rocker and Lieter this september?
lol
Rocker isn't pitching this season except in Arizona. Leiter isn't ready for the big leagues.
Not happening. Rocker isn't even going to pitch to hitters until the instructional league. September, 2023? Might be different story.
Heard Nadel say that the Rangers pitchers were mostly ground ball guys…but our infield fielding has been a bit shaky (my word). I’d love to see some numbers around that. Thanks Evan!
Ownership just hung a big ole 'for sale' sign on the front lawn
With. Foscue getting reps at third base a prelude of a possible Jung to first base and Lowe to DH next year
Can we get "TWIRB Notes" if you are going with "This Week in Rangers Baseball"??
We need to lock up Lowe now before he really takes off. I think we found our DH if his defense doesn't improve but he definitely has to be in our lineup everyday!
Agree Lowe can hit, but his first base is, frankly, abysmal. He can not continue in that position. He's not flexible enough for one. He just doesn't seem to have the ability to stretch, jump, etc. to get the balls thrown at him. Admittedly, better throws would be massively helpful, too.
@@dianepitalue3172 They should sign Josh Bell in the off-season. I heard he would like to come back to Texas. He's a much better defender and could be a nice middle of the order bat. He could come for 3 years, 45 million dollars.
With all the speed the Rangers have, can this team develop into speed team like the 1980's Cardinals?? Isn't the OF getting crowded?
If the rangers spend all their money on pitching and don’t spend a dollar on offense this offseason, this is the lineup I’m looking at for opening day if everyone can stay healthy.
1. Jung. 3B. R
2. Semien. 2B. R
3. Seager. SS. L
4. Garver. 1B. R
5. Lowe. DH. L
6. Garcia. RF. R
7. Heim. C. S
8. Duran. LF. R
9. Taveras. CF. S
Pretty stacked lineup if everyone is healthy. Honestly, I don't think they need to do a ton this offseason. No need to sign a Judge or mortgage the farm for an Ohtani. Just bring in one or two decent to great SPs, either through trade or FA, shore up the bullpen, and let it ride. See what you need at the deadline.
@@MikeOzmun if they add 2 frontline starting pitchers it’s a successful offseason and I think it’s enough to make them contenders. They can always shore up the bullpen or lineup at the trade deadline if they’re contending.
Switch Garver and Lowe's positions and you're got a good lineup.
@@LinkRocks I have Lowe at DH because he’s really bad defensively and Garver at 1B so if Heim leaves the game he can move behind the plate, which he can’t if he’s the DH.
@@samuelpatton5148 Josh Bell. I heard he wants to come back to Texas. He's a match made in Heaven. Might take a 3 year deal, 45 million dollars.
Thanks Evan. Get some sleep now.
I'd rather have Calhoun on the roster than Miller
Lowe got 20 steals?? LOL
10 years ago the Rangers drew 3 million fans, now lucky to draw 2 million. Air conditioning isn’t the answer. Winning is the answer. Baseball is amusement in Texas, football is religion. The Cowboys will fill the stadium every game even with a losing season. The Rangers must win if they hope to be profitable. Was JD fired because owners felt his decisions were not drawing fans?
I do feel this is an accurate summation of how the general public views baseball in Texas, but, while the hardcore baseball fans may be smaller in number here than in NY, Boston or Philly, the hardcores are still hardcore!
What kind of future does Justin Foscue have on the team?
He’ll have a huge impact on the future! He and Harris will be the centerpieces of a trade for Pablo Lopez this offseason.
