I enjoy the commentary, pretty chill. Abrupt death cuts always make me chuckle. I always liked the silhouette of the Mirages, all slender and angular. I got bogged down at rank 6 grinding up to them, and then Gaijin shuffled the tech tree around a few times and set me back several jets worth of progress by foldering the jets I owned under ones that I did not... it's like a sisyphean curse sometimes, I swear.
They do look great all things considered, for me I made just the right amount of progress for the tech tree reordering to help me greatly and allow me to start researching the Mirage-2000 when I was 2 planes away prior lol
Basically a better grind than the nesher the matra 530 is a very satisfying missile on the mirages III's. But to be fair I prefer the CJ, longer range missiles and one BR less.
My end goal though either way is the Mirage-2000. Which, while not being the best top tier jet by any means, is just so nice and sleek looking that I need it lol (started on it but haven’t been on WT much lately tbh)
The IIIC is generally considered better (in the usual WT dogfight meta) due to the lighter weight compared to the IIIE - the avionics and countermeasures add nearly a metric ton of extra weight which you will feel so very much in the turns. As for your RWR: while it won't *directly* tell you if you're being tracked vs just being pinged by scan - if it happens to ping *super fast* (like basically continuous pinging), that's generally a sign that you're being locked-up. The problem is that it won't distinguish between ground AA (which will lock you up regardless of if they fire or not) and player aircraft...
The engine is technically a bit over 100kg heavier in the IIIE compared to the IIIC for 30kgf of thrust (stock). The original Mirages were largely built around being as light as possible, so the IIIE's extra weight is felt a fair bit. While the avionics and countermeasures are welcome additions, from a raw aerobatic perspective, the IIIC is better. Whether or not you want them or the better power/weight and aerobatic responsiveness is a matter of preference - the IIIE is functionally a sidegrade to the IIIC.
i have like 50 matches in this thing and i got like 2 530 kills... i removed it from my loadout cause it was getting me killed... 530Ds on the S4 are excellent... Even 530Fs are fine... 530 just isn't...

Actually good commentary, enjoyed this

I think the engine on the IIIE is heavier as well, but the addition of countermeasures is a must-have for me at the end of the day

Yeah I tend to find the 530s on the IIIE just... don't, even against targets without any countermeasures
