Here is my unboxing and first look at the AMD powered(Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U), Lenovo ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 for 2024! This machine weighs a little over 2 pounds but still promises great performance and battery life, all while delivering stunning visuals on its 13.3" inch OLED touchscreen display(2880X1880).

I'm guessing these line up is targetting customers who are looking at "shinny" aesthetics. Lenovo's carved out a niche for no frills customers, who want performance, very light weight, and can handle rough handling, and this is why their X1 Carbon line up has been very popular for years. It looks really nice though.
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad P16s Gen 2 (entry level workstation laptop nowhere near as stylish as the one you're reviewing) with this very same AMD APU but with 64Gb and it is a powerhouse for my basic dev work and Linux virtualization hosting. Have Intel based laptops that always run warm to the touch with their cases - but my AMD based Lenovo doesn't have this issue AT ALL. I'm not interested in playing the big newer games on it (have gaming desktop and consoles for that) - but it does run RTS games and MMOs quite well for my liking when on the go. Great video. Loving the lid styling of this model lol

They haven't redesigned the chassis so I'm assuming it'll still have some overheating/fan noise issues even with this generation of AMD chips. This is just too lightweight and thin but I also hate the lack of port options and the glossy screen. For the price of this computer, you'd expect more.

USB4 ports on this laptops have really high specs and supports most of what people requires, even eGPUs and several TB4 docks .
garbage. look the problems with lateral power switch. lenovo is shoting in the foot if the cobtinue wirh this poor designs.
