Fifteen Whiskies summarised and shared. !! One man's opinion !! See below for links to other informed opinions on some of the whiskies here.
For a chance to win a sample set of 6 whiskies featured in this video, all you need to do is a) be in a country where I can legally ship samples to you, and be of legal age for consumption of alcohol. b) be a subscriber of the channel and leave a comment below with the words "HEELS PLEASE!" In the case of high participation I'll be using the find function on the browser to find the comments, so please make sure that's what you write. Only one entry per subscribed account will be included.
Participation will be closed within 48 hours of the video public release and will be drawn on the next vPub Livestream on this channel. vPubs are scheduled every other Thursday from 21:45 UK time (16:45 EDT) but don't require the entrants to tune in. I will contact the winner directly.

I personally find the style of Nikka from the barrel to be similar to Irish, it’s so clean and fruity!

Roy, Definitely enjoyed this format and will check out the earlier ones. While I would disagree a bit on the Buffalo Trace, I find the balance and roundness very enjoyable and at 45% here in the US. Just finishing my first Old Pulteney 12 and enjoyed, kindalike a scotch for bourbon fans. Mine are (already bought a second) at 43% ABV, maybe since in the States? I'm always surprised to see how much Indian whisky is. I enjoy Japanese whisky but over priced to me. HEELS PLEASE! Cheers!

Stellar work Roy! Great see a decent percentage of non-scotch world whiskies in there too. Nikka FTB was one of my absolute favs but I haven't bought some for a couple of years
Another excellent recycled review & tantalizing drone(?) footage at the end! Looking forward to any content coming from the big Dummies visit/whisky folk meet up. Crazy jealous of those lucky enough to go as it definitely has the feel of a very special special event! I think I remember hearing that samples can make it over to the US whereas full bottles can’t, so heels please! 😄🥃

I love the empty bottle reviews. I have had too many whiskeys that started with one opinion then ended with another. I love the fact that there is time between each video as welll.... makes them feel special, like a birthday gift... thank you the great video

One wee tiny unimportant critique... comparing the comments and the marks I get the feeling you’re a bit generous with the scoring at the bottom end. C’mon , use the full scale man!! An average whisky should get 5 out of 10 IMHO.

Heels Please! I would have to say this recycled review had the most whisky’s I’ve ever tried or own, but haven’t opened yet compared to the other recycled reviews. Always a joy watching these reviews and so much packed into a short period of time, but it’s really all the info one needs to make an educated decision on whether to purchase a bottle or not. 🙏 Roy.

Congrats on not dropping any of the bottles this time! Been waiting on another recycled review and it didn't disappoint. I remember your review on the Elijah Craig, and you pretty much said the same thing how it changed your view on bourbon. Keep up the good work.

High quality content as always... Smiled when you compared the nikka ftb to a bourbon, because i always said this one is somewhere between a speysider and a bourbon. Those vanillas open up so well with a bit of water. A bit of sherry influence as well and even a tiny bit of smoke.

Please try Buffalo Trace should you get a chance to try it as we get it here in North America....45%. The idea of Buffalo Trace at 40% is unfortunate...it is awesome at 45%.
Agreed. 45% in South Africa, too, and I find it's pretty much on par with Maker's.
It used to be 45% in the U.K before Buffalo Trace took the advice of some bellend cocktail staff and lowered it to 40% rendering it pointless. I actually think 45% is too low for it. At 45% it's decent day to day stuff but there's plenty of competition.
I stay clear of Buffalo Trace these days because of all the artificially allocated products. It's just not all that.

We get Buffalo Trace @45% here in the states and there it's an all-rounder. Love the Recycled Reviews.
I was about to post .."Stop Roy!! There's a dribble left in the bottom of the Lot 40!!" Then there's a cut and the dribble is gone. Well done Roy!

Springbank 10 is probably one of those whiskies I would also always have in reach ... if I didn't have too many bottles and too many open bottles already. I just hope it doesn't too popular for its own good. On the other hand, I think SB 10 is a great stepping stone into the portfolio of SB and Campbeltown in general and there is so much more to discover - I have not had a single disappointment so far.
Nice one Roy. Some great variation in there. So glad you rated the Springbank 10. It's probably my favourite out of my current collection. Must say, I got a laugh when I imagined your neighbours walkin' round the corner to see you tanning a bottle of Glen Grant, then one calling the other to see you polish off the Elijah Craig😂😂. Springbank 10 is one of my favs, great whiskey!
