Perhaps we should try this no proselytizing approach worldwide. As Ross explains, the Church has gained the trust of the people of Israel which then allows them to show authentic interest when they visit. The exact opposite has happened in every other country. The zeal of Mormon missionaries and members has broken the trust of everyone so now people who would otherwise be interested have absolutely no desire to investigate the church. The fact that Church leaders haven't picked up on this is astounding. Hopefully one of these General Conferences, the President will stand up and announce that they are ending proselytizing missions to focus on humanitarian missions only. The world itself and its people would collectively breathe a sigh of relief.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." - Matthew 28:19-20

Thank you for your comment. Your comment reminds me of the phrase "be like the Amish," referring to people's strong curiosity regarding and interest in the Amish despite their lack of proselyting.
