The Kaxe Z was an instant bag for me. That disc is an absolute power house
facts, i outdrive alot of my league with my kaxe
I find the Kaxe Z far more understandable than I hoped for. What does the Kaxe Z replace in your bag? Generally interested.
Wheres the Guld, Grym X and Reko X?
There is also a Kaxe, Rask, Stål and Göte.
Grym and Grym X has gotten new, updated, flight numbers. Grym is now 13/5/-2/2, which is more a correct number imo. Hyzerflip or big glidey anhyzer shots and Grym is, grym (grym means awesome or like... cruel).
Would have liked to see you putt with a Reko in K3 plastic thou. Love putting with K3, but not with K1.
I think wicked is pretty good translation of grym. Works for both meanings.
K3 really is something special. It has a nice and tacky hand feel that stays consistent through extreme temperature differences, with a stiff core for good feedback and pop.
@@miniaturecolossus5242 I don't disagree at all :P
It's basically something good, or something bad. Very basically that is XD
"Wicked witch" isn't wicked because she's like.. That nice, awesome witch. She's evil. Even so, wicked when it comes from a hippies lips is something positive :P
Words are dumb at times. We have a saying over here in Sweden which goes "kärt barn har många namn" (you might have heard it? :P). It roughly translates to "a loved child has many names".
@@FurballMK3 agree.
And that tacky feel is easy to get back with a bit of soap and water (not sure how other brands putters behave with this treatment).
They lose a bit of that tackiness when small dirt particles amass on the surface. But even then, they're never really that slick.
Not many putters out there is as good as K3 Reko :P
Grym is definitely -2. It’s flippier than my star shryke.
I have to say, I really don’t understand how this channel isn’t way more popular.
This is by far the best chronological breakdown of understanding how to become a better disc golfer I’ve ever seen. If you’ve been following bodanza for a while I’m sure you’ve seen and noticed how insanely quick this growth is. You have been able to show how the introduction to disc golf as a semi amateur level, someone with a sports background) to a semi professional player who has played with enough discs to understand the best discs for your game and enough insight to recommend with firsthand experience/insight great discs for novices/amateurs. I for one thank you for pushing me to better my game and pricing that practice and hard work can really change a player. I look forays hopefully to your career and watch on with glee evermore as I see you grow. Keep on growing and inspiring people like myself, your becoming a bigger inference in disc golf than you know.
that's way too kind Austin! Appreciate that so much :) Onward and upward!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf Thanks so much for the appreciation but what you have been doing is worth far more than the kind words I can offer. I can’t thank you enough for the incredible content and information you have been able to relay in your videos and I wish you nothing but the best moving forward. Can’t wait to see you on the pro tour soon!
Dude.. the short shorts my lil sister wears are killin me! 🤣🤣
I can tell you: too many words spoken way too fast. I would suggest calming down a bit and quitting nonsense. Hard to get any interesting data out of it and it's quite annoying.
I've had the same experience w the Reko. It just drops. Kept trying to make it work because it felt SO good out of the hand.
Nope. Just a big fat zero for me.
Falk flys like my relay and dx thunderbird. Relay 320ft. Dx thunderbird 350. Hyzer release slow drift soft finish. My favorite shot
Falk is so good. K1 soft feels amazing in the cold
I have several Kastaplast discs but the only one that has a spot in my bag is the Svea. I love it for understable scramble shots, especially where the best shot shape is an ultimate style forehand (which as an ultimate player I am much more comfortable with than most disc golfers. Giving it height and anhyzer and letting it gently pan, or a little wrist flick with a crosswind to ride have gotten me a couple of ridiculous scramble shots. One in particular was at a doubles tournament where I had a 100' upshot through the woods where shrubs prevented any half-decent throw except 45 degrees left of the basket on a day with a ripping left-right crosswind, I threw it to go out of the woods, ride the wind, and pan back through a few other trees right under the basket. People on my card couldn't believe it.
The K1 Lots and K3 Reko X will never leave my bag. 2 of my absolute favorite discs I have.
thank you for justifying my purchases for me, have loved the lots K1 consistency and the Reko X i feel like would be a fantastic approach in K1 just as it is in the K3 line like i have it for putting, such a great company! Id recommend the Grym X or maybe even the Vass once it comes out, I know ill be looking into the vass myself
To quote Tina Turner “simply the best”
Kasta has no rival
I really enjoy the Guld from Kasta. It, along with my Grym X are my main distance drivers.
Hey Anthony! I have really been enjoying your content and it's been fun watching you grow as a disc golfer. As a recommendation, I think it would be nice to see you tackle a more elite level course every once in awhile. Keep up the great work!
good suggestion! I have a series coming up that I think will be what you're looking for! The harder courses just aren't good for review videos! haha, but my new series will be all about braking down tough courses!
look out for it in January sometime
Come out to the Midwest and play eagles crossing
@@BodanzaDiscGolf looking forward to the new content!
Love Kastaplast. I came for the Berg but stayed for the plastic.
Kasta does have a reputation for being less stable than the numbers suggest, but that's not an issue with my noodle arm.
K1glow Reko is my baby. My throwing and c2-c3 putter.
Next year when you have more pop on your putt try the Reko again. If you noticed every one of your putts were dead on line with it. I like putting nose down to flat hard right at the band staggered stance similar to Paul mc b putt. Reko is closest to the Luna other then a roach. I use a banger gt and nomad in c1 same stance as you
Shot 4 under today my first 1004 rated round. Im usually around 940
I want a berg
dunno how noticeable it is for non swedes but you got good diversity in the dialects of your dubbers. i recently turned to an all KP bag to keep it simple, they got few but pretty good molds, kaxe z is definitely a favorite
I can hear it, but i'm Norwegian, so not sure if i count as "non Swede" :P
Going full KP myself, but even if i like the Grym, i just can't make myself replace the Graces.
@@plix3763 you don’t qualify, you’re a pseudo swede :p
Falk ftw!
Oh no did you scratch your lens!? Second video I’ve noticed it in, hopefully just dirt and combination of filming back to back videos not noticing 🤞
i filmed both vids on the same day and had changed lenses just before filming and didn't notice some sensor dust that had creeped in during switching! Shouldnt' be there for more videos unless i accidentally get more dust in during lens exchange lol!!! :/
Would've also been helpful to see the names of the discs when they were pronounced, Keep up the good work!
Love the content, is it just me or is there a smudge on the lense?
it's sensor dust from changing the lens. I changed right before shooting this and the anax/thunderbird vid so it's in these but shouldn't be in others
Guld would have been the overstable distance driver. Unfortunately it was not sent to you. Old Gryms are kind of stable, but new ones are understable.
Kaxe Z replaced Buzzz in my bag years ago. It just glides more and flies farther than a Buzzz and I like the smaller diameter. Kaxe (without Z) is a bit more stable version with a bead.
You might have liked Stål (pronounced as word "stall") which is their Firebird. If Kaxe fits your hand, then Stål might fit as well. Certain roundness is typical for Kastaplast.
That Svea is less stable than Fuse and Svea doesn't really have any fade that Fuse has. If you throw low anhyzer with Svea, it is a cut roller. If you throw it flat with more power, it is a cut roller. High anhyzer just keeps moving right and barely flattens out. Svea is actually quite difficult to throw. Good for beginners? Yes and no. Difficult if person likes to throw anhyzers, but good if someone wants to learn to throw clean.
You should try the Kaxe and the Grym x. Kaxe is more stable version of kaxe z and Grym x is just a good distance driver, more overstable than Grym
Järn shall be pronounced almost like you say it but say the Ä like you begin your name Anthony and you are on the spot.
Very nice channel you got here 😊
Buddy, you gotta give the reko a chance for putting in k3 plastic. Tried em all including the Pures. K3 Reko is in a class of its own when it comes to feel of the profile and feel for the grip. Thing is filthy good when you dial em in..
I found that slight lack of glide he saw in the video to be so helpful for my putting confidence. They forced me to putt through the basket and the puddle top the seasoned ones get keep you putting with confidence. I also feel seasoned k3 is the best feeling/catching plastic
I know that I am very late to the vid, but as a huge kasta fan I think would like the Grym x over the Grym. The Guld, Krut, and the Vass are also good additions.
Dude. I subscribed. My reko is for headwind and approach. She doesn't really roll and sticks. But yeah you need to throw it through the chains on a putt. So I use my KCPRO AVIAR "old reliable" for floating putts. Aldo my Reko is custom black with Darth Vader, it's sick looking. Thanks bud!
A Grym X or Rask would be the overstable distance driver you might would be looking for. Every Grym I've thrown has been more like a -2, 1 or -3, 2. The Grym X feels more like a Destroyer to me.
Love my järn. Have two in k3, which is a totally different beast than the k1. K3 is like a puddle top thin BEEFY boy. K1 is like a harpish feel, kinda domey. Both great discs
Some Kastaplast advice. The Grym X is the stable driver and is more reliable. Svea doesn’t like power so only about 60% which helps with accuracy and glides forever. Reko in K1 is better for drives or upshots. K3 Reko is best for putting. Want an amazing forehand disc that flies even better in a headwind? Try the Rask.
What the hell happens from 1:22 to 1:30, like the video cuts but audio continues flawlessly and then he speaks without moving his mouth wtf im so confused is this A.I. generated?
You need to go visit charlie Goodpastur at pureline in Clearwater FL. You could get some kastaplast from him (@charlie if you see this I will pay for a glow Kaxe or Kaxe Z for Anthony). And play his course. You also need to try a k3 Reko X and a Guld while you are there.
Grym seems like it would be a tailwind hyzer flip disc
As a sweed, it were verry hard to hear the naming of the disc then edited like that. Would be better you stick with Yarn! Instead of Järn :D
Love ur vids buddy. Denver native here. I respect ur desire to want to pronounce things correctly, but these overlays are distracting and hard to hear lol. Maybe next time just add them to the description or something? I personally can't even hear em, they are too quick. That may just be me tho.
Nice and interesting video. One comment, could you just talk a little slower. As a none native English speaker ik can follow most movies without subtitles, but in your case I can understand what you are saying but to fast to link it what you are doing. So I miss a big part of the points you are trying to make. Just saying.
Enjoyed the video. But kinda annoyed about the whole “right pronounciation” thing. It sounds rediculous hearing people change their accent just to say one word hahaha
Kaxe Z isn't as stable as the numbers suggest, but once youve figured that out, its a great disc. The Reko doesn't have the glide I need a putter to have and kept falling into the front of any basket i threw it at.
But the Svea and Falk are great discs.
I wish you would've had a couple of the k3 molds and maybe a Rask.
Ok. 10 minutes later... I'd like to see you throw it again. 😀 It looked REALLY good. I'm going to get one.
Kastaplast without a BERG? You are making the bergnuts furious! but in all seriousness its a solid approach disc
OK Anthony we need a screen warning when you are going to hit those Mariah Carey high notes (Falk)! I'm wearing headphones man! :)
Falk is currently my favorite disc. I tried everything they have, and it's the only one that has stuck in my bag. One of my Gryms is not so flippy, and I carry it some.
Kaxe Z is money... It fills every neutral/stable slot in my bag from 6 to 9 speed.. the easiest distance disc I bag
lol when you realized you though the svea after saying stable Right before you tossed I was thinking oh no!! huge kastaplast fan the svea and falk are my most used discs off the tee effortless distance
I LOVE Kastaplast! Currently bag a K1 Soft Berg, K1 Soft Reko, K1 Grym, and K1 Glow Grym X. Hands down my favorite plastic, can't wait for them to fill out their lineup some more
i love their plastic, they just need to add over stable discs.
@@jbrind00 Yeah and maybe get their flight numbers right for once lol. My Grym X is 12 5 0 3 and flies like 12 5 -3 1.
Word of advice: quit blaming the flight of the disc because of your form habits.
You're younge and have good arm speed, but not sure I follow your reasoning. Were those all cycled discs you were using?
soft plastic Reko is the best putter ever. straightest and most stable disc ever, is completely able to handle backhand torque
Svea is a weird disc..if you hit it perfectly it has a great flight and ton of glide.. miss it just a bit and it just burns to the right
I loooove kastaplast. I always bag 2 (2) Bergs and a jarn, and every stable or overstable mold of theirs makes the bag. Unfortunately their understable discs just burn with no move for me, even at altitude, but it's likely because most of their lineup flies a little less stable than the numbers would suggest. For the most part you need one of their 3 fade molds to get any sort of reliable finish, and even then there are a ton of far-too-understable Grym Xs out there. Lots has been fairly reliable on a flat-release flex for me, and yes, it does go really far (420-435ish). Absolutely in love with the Guld at the moment, so I'm super excited about the direction their brand is going! Hopefully KP can keep on growing with the sport!
Anyone who throws a svea was holding their breath when you decided to throw it into a headwind. I bag it solely as a understable utility disc.
The Reko is better in base plastic, I would never use the premium disc for putting.
The kaxe z is soooooo good and the grym x is super flippy. But it’s a bomber.
Throwing a grim flat at chest level hard Will indeed show its understability lol.
Don't feel like it's much of a review with this few throws. Might be good to throw 2 discs on each hole To get a better feel
Kastaplast plastic is hand candy and protected by mysterious forces.
Kaxe z in glow is often more flippy. Guld is the best driver 👍
The grym have change numbers to -2 2, becaus it was so understable
The mvp relay would replace your river and their plastic takes soo long to beat in
Started disc golf this year as well. Your channel hits all the UA-cam check marks man. Keep it up. Hope to see you out there sometime. Stay your course, stay you, keep progressing and your passion will take you wherever you aim man. 🌱🌿🌴
If you could find a soul nice enough to gift you a k2 kaxe z 😅 so good.
Kaxe z my absolute favorite disc in the bag
As a Swed, the prononceiation sounds halarius😂
Great company. Kaxe are both super.
unbagging the river? cant subscribe to that
lol 😂 the dubbing was the best
have you thrown the rask from them?
No Stal? Awesome disc.
I have smol grip and love rekos
K1 soft plastic is what’s up.
Kaxe Z is so goood
player 2 is allways better!
The dubbing! Lol 😂
Kastaplast is the best!
personaly i say. Kaxe zäta like a real swede
Clean your lens 😄
The Svea is a million times more understable than the numbers suggest. I laughed out loud watching your Svea tee shot go a mile to the right... because thats what mine does. Its super useful if you can embrace it, because it will NEVER come back left on a flat RHBH throw. Its wild.
You didn’t do the SVEA justice, it’s an awesome hyzer flip turn over midrange that glides for ages, it doesn’t actually have noticeable fade, but when you put enough hyzer on it you can flip it up to a straight or slight turnover line and it will ride this exact line til it gets to the ground 300 ft later. FALK is my favorite control driver (next to G-Line CD2 by Discmania), KAXE Z is my favorite slow fairway driver, it goes very far. GRYM I throw a lot for max distance, for my arm speed, it’s a great flip up and ride disc.
I have mixed bag and there's quite many kastaplast disc. Berg is most used disc. kaxe, and lots are stable in my bag and Falk was also, but didn't find that after Bad throw. I have also Reko k1 as understable throwing putter. Glow kaxe is for dark rounds. Kastaplast has propably best Glow in the market. And I have also MVP/axiom Glow discs 😉
Kastaplast k1 plastic is superb and discs are so smooth = high quality.
Hey man! Loads of new molds and updates coming out of Kastaplast right now since they moved their production. Kaxe Z, Grym and Grym X is out and being replaced by Stig, Vass and Krut respectively. There is also a Berg X in the works but that won't be out yet for a little while.
I only have 2 Kastaplast. A Berg which I've only shot 1 round with but love and a Falk. My Falk seems super flippy though so it's not in my bag. At 9 / 6 / -2 / 1 it's fairly similar numbers to my MVP Volt 8 / 5 / -2 / 1.5 but the Volt is so much more stable. The Falk seems just as flippy as my MVP Orbital at 11 / 5 / -4.5 / 1. Even throwing on a Hyzer it fights out and flips over
Guld is the Kastaplast high speed driver you are looking for. It is nearly identical to the Rive, but in lovely K1 Kastaplastic. I'll send you one or two if you like. It would be fun to do a comparison with the Rive.
The Guld is better than all of their other high speed drivers. Lots and Falk are wonderful fairways (as you found out), Järn is a great overstable approach/mid. My guess is the Reko is just less glidey and more stable than the Pure you are used to. You also need to try a pre flight number K1 Kaxe or new K3 Kaxe - similar speed but more stable than the Kaxe Z.
Come to Charleston, SC some time; I can hook you up and we can make some videos. It is where Foundation filmed the Creator's Cup this past year. We have great weather, amazing food, lots to see and do, and some beautiful and unique disc golf courses. Hit me up.
I keep seeing a dirty mark on your camera in videos. Like almost dead center
this one and anax have it from changing lenses, sensor dust, it's gone in the newer ones
K3 is my favorite plastic. K1 is probably my second favorite. Several Kastaplast molds have more overstability with K3 compared to K1, including Jarn and Kaxe.
Hey Andrew, question for you! As a Midwest golfer we consistently play in 12-20mph winds, what’s it like down where you are?
Awesome, i love my kastaplast falk, kaxe z, reko x and berg... all great... channel is great btw, you definitely need to create a logo or image ir something trademarked with you and your can and the disc journey and use the heck out of it. May help the channel grow?
Have you had the chance to try any Clash discs, Anthony? Their Steady plastic is very similar to Kastaplast's K1. The Wild Honey is very popular with folks that throw farther than I do. I *love* their 7-speeds (Soda and Cookie).
Grym X is the main distance driver (12,5,-1,3) from Kastaplast for long throwers and Grym is good for slower arm speeds.
Also their K1 soft plastic is amazing in solid colors!
I think it's 0 3 though, but yes i was hoping he had this one instead of the grym
@@amenson1997 its -1, 3 but at least mine is a touch less overstable than destroyers so great for an amateur player
@@putkipihvi324 just looked it up to confirm and even checked the one in my bag, it's 0 3
The Guld is waaaaaay better all purpose. Favorite driver by far.
@@amenson1997 seems that they changed the turn from 0 to -1 at some point. Kastaplast website says -1, 3 and mine is that also. Infinite discs has outdated info about this.
Anyway, a great disc.
Good stuff, good to see you throwing Kast!!! You would have loved the GRYM X that would have been your over stable bomber, the GRYM is as you saw Understable and a bit touchy, LOTS and KAXE Z are amazing, if you figured out that REKO you would have bombed it, it's usually a point and shoot throwing and putting putter!!!
The Svea is the only one of these that I bag and it behaves for me with my noodle arm exactly as it does for you. It is weird because it has the same numbers as Fuse but behaves completly differently
When are you coming to Europe? :D
Content and skill getting better every day, keep up the grind!
For me slower arm speed 75% Kasta thrower - soft falk- lots - kaxe z- svea( but it’s a touchy disc to learn) K3 jarn- rekox are my ranked and bagged discs, great video and love your content
You gotta try the regular kaxe. Straightest 6 speed out there with some power. Consistent fade when you power down.
Great plastic....the glow is very understable. LOVE my Kaxe Z !
Makes me really sad the reko was not in K3. That plastic is absolutely amazing
I bet you would love the new Kastaplast Guld 13 5 0 3.. Great for flexlines!
I've held a Svea and a Fuse next to each other and you needed some damn good eye sight to see any difference between the two. Maybe other runs are more different but those two where near copies of each other.
Best Disc Golf Channel on UA-cam! Keep up the good work!!!
Thanks for the great videos. Really appreciate how you highlight your lines in green. Keep it up, and stay safe.
Some people say zed? Well some people are wrong
I’m pretty sure most non Americans do
Kaxe Z K1 is one of my fav discs. Just started throwing the Lots and it’s another great disc
