My buddy started disc golf with this exact starter set. He bought two of them for whatever reason, so he would pull one out and say "this one is a bit more overstable," or try to switch discs of the same mold for a shot that it had no business being used for. Those early days of disc golf for us were something else. XD

Can’t remember if you’ve done one of these with the “premium” plastic Franklin discs but you should if you haven’t. The driver flies pretty much like a destroyer. It’s an actual legit disc.

Those little clocks are from the injection molding process! They tell the manufacturer what mold and injector the product came from. Helps with traceability and quality control

The ol Rocko Wydocko set (guy on pack looks like a discount Wysocki), I bought two sets of these for like 10 bucks from a drugstore this past summer and proceeded to challenge my friend, inspired by these challenges. Hands down the most fun and frustrating round I’ve ever played 💀

This set was the intro to disc golf for me and my kids! I stumbled across it in a Menards a few summers ago and thought the kids and I could use a new hobby. Lucky for us we could only throw 50' spike hyzers so we had no idea how terrible these were.

No joke, my dad actually has these as his main discs! He's not a serious disc golfer but got these at the local hardware store... Kid you not though, he's gotten par on plenty of courses around us with these very discs

Temu apparently has Discs now. Under the name "X-UFO" Not PDGA Approved as far as I've seen. Could be a fun "Starter Set" video.

lol the numbers on the bottom of the discs is an expiration date. They use that same format for plastic hard hats and other plastic items with an end of life date for safety purposes. Probably because after too much time passes they’ll shatter if they hit a tree or something

You can tune any disc that takes a set instead of springing back to shape. Those are definitely tunable.

The only thing those "discs" are good at are cut roles in the wrong direction!
Starter sets like this hurt the sport as a whole. Cant imagine how many people have been put off disc golf for good because of this and similar swts.
