    One of the best Berg reviews I have seen thanks. This disc taught me how to throw smooth forehands, when I was a new player all my forehands would wobble and turn over. The Berg was the only disc I could release on short shots without that happening. I started getting better at throwing and even started throwing full power shots with it, now it is still my favourite approach disc. It shines on forehand approach shots, holding anhyzer angles right to the ground without ever turning and burning. I find the k3 hard to be the most overstable but it might just be my disc, k3 is my money disc. Thanks again.

    Took me some time to like it. Went in and out of my bag a few months. Now it's one of my most important discs. Paired up with a Zone, I'm all good at the approachdepartment. Saving strokes and getting out of trouble every round.

    Throwing kW soft about 1 year now and I think that this disc is one of the most important in my bag. Great for uppshots and I use this disc always when need to make forehand putt.

    Perfect headwind putter in my books. The low glide helps a ton to avoid wind lift, yet it doesn't have a fade you need to account for, just point and shoot.
    I also use it almost every time my target is at the fringe of it's range. Just blast it and you know it won't sail much past the your goal. Also grabs ground very well.

      Yes that’s very true! I do love how it grabs the ground so well doesn’t roll away, it sits very nicely.

    You nailed the up/down putting style that compliments how the Berg should be putted. Sure you can pure spin putt with it, but dont be shocked if you hit the front of the basket frequently. I straddle put with the Berg mostly now, and it feels like what I've been missing these years.

      That’s great. Yes I was totally hitting the cage so many times. I had to consciously make a shift to push harder. Hah. Can be great in the wind though for sure.

    Just added to my bag. I’ve been slowly taking out distance drivers and adding more putters and mids, love this for approach shots

    Give it a good try forehand if you haven't already. The neutrality/torque resistance really shines there. The k3 beats in to a laser straight forehand disc. The other great thing about the Berg is being able to run basically everything within like 150 and not ending up more than 20 feet past the basket almost no matter what. I've made probably 10 or so forehand throw ins with the berg ranging from 80-140.

      Yes love that information and insight. Agree about it not soaring past the basket. Great for trusting it to sit!

    I had a hard time at the begining to like this disc. But the more i threw it the more situations i found it to be usable. Love puting it on long hyzer shoots. And straight placement shoots in the woods

    • @discgolfjedi
      @discgolfjedi  2 роки тому +1

      Definitely! It's such a good placement disc. I can trust it not to roll or skip during upshots.

    Great review, Jedi! I like the methodology you used to test it, showing a lot of runs from the same angles. I do the same with my reviews and comparisons. I just did a fairway driver comparison that came out today shot in much the same vein, comparing discs. Anyhow, keep it up because too few UA-cam channels do that. 🙂

    Good review. I think the numbers if the Berg should be: 1 1 1 1 - it is stable but doesnt really fade much at all
