The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Here is a collection of the surprises we have done in 2021 up until now. We will continue to distribute gifts from Secret Santa until Dec. 31 and will post part 2 of our special at the end of December.

I am the last of my family and as such, I actually have four houses willed to me. I was thinking that I would sell one of them and FINALLY get the car I've always dreamed of, a 1966 Mustang. But I've been watching Secret Santa all week... and I think I will rent two in order to keep the third available for a family in need. I think posting this sounds a little self-serving and a little humblebragging... But these videos are not just entertaining, they are Good in the best sense of the word. So... thank you Secret Santa for inspiring me to think beyond my own wants!

Bless your heart! Ofcourse you deserve to splurge on yourself and purchase your dream car- but if it's within your relm of possibilities and laying heavily on your heart to do something to pay it forward and change the lives of a stranger etc you should do it. God puts hints in our paths- I'm definitely far from "rich" but I full heartedly believe in karma and paying it forward, even if it isn't a life changing amount - it truly feels soo good to help someone and brighten their souls for just a moment. God will always provide and the kindness will come back around to you!
I think sounding it out is not being a braggart, sometimes you need to say it (write it?) Out loud to really think it through and make sure that it's what is right for you. What you might do is work with your local affordable or govt housing agency to get all houses up to code and be able to make them available to deserving low income families that way the govt subsidizes most of their rent and you may still be able to afford your dream car and help people all in one.
David Pietarila - this is a year later, but I was just having a conversation over Thanksgiving about our very small family and how I don't want her to be the last one and be alone. There won't be a lot, but I worry more for her being alone thank anything else. She hasn't met the love of her life yet, but we are prayerful that she will, however if she doesn't and my sister and I pass, I just have to keep my faith in God that she is always has someone that will be there for her.

Such a sad and tragic story. I can’t even imagine. I wish her and her family the best in whatever direction life takes them.
(Regarding the couple with cancer...). “Growth”. Wow! What an awesome perspective. I’m humbled by her attitude. May I strive to be like her and have such an amazing outlook on the hardships in life.

to Drew (with the brain tumor) ... my granny had the same kind of tumor at the age of 45 (early 80s) - therapies were not advanced enough so her tumor grew back - even with surgery every 10 years she lived to be 85 ... she had a fullfilled life and so will you! all the best to you and a speedy recovery
I cannot get over that a multi millionaire is doing this with no strings attached and with no credit wanted towards him for giving this money to those in need whomever that millionaire is truly does want to give from his heart he’s not looking for a handout back he’s not looking for any recognition and that is the definition of a true angel

@@TheGlitched-NPC It's not. Nate told Secret Santa's story in an early episode....When SS was a young man, he was alone in a foreign country at Christmas. At breakfast on Christmas morning, there was an anonymous gift at his seat. That incident stayed with him. He's been SS for eastern Idaho since 2015.

Aw. My mom got cancer and six months later my dad was diagnosed. Man did I feel that couple. :). Sending prayers.
It is so amazing that their car was delivered on her husband's birthday. He is looking after them after all. I was so touched that after all they had done and her husband studied, that he should die. At least now he is being cared for by God himself. And these gifts are absolutely what they need.❤❤❤.

@@markverloop8787. Sadly, that was a sign of the times, especially around Christmas. I wouldn’t speak to the police on the phone recently. I said I’d come by and of course it was legit, but being cautious was my knee jerk reaction.

The man who needed hearing aids as been my favorite so far. When they're hardened by the cold world so they aren't so welcoming, but reality hits that there is some true kindness in humanity lurking around them. At first they truly don't believe someone would be so kind without a catch, and it's so sweet watching that change on their face when they realize. 😊
This is still my favorite series I've ever watched on UA-cam, each year I remember it exists and it makes my heart SO full each time!
The way Nate deals with initial rejection is simply inspiring to watch. He is so professional, yet empathetic and persuasive in the best way.

So many people struggle it is heartbreaking. Secret Santa rocks. Now vote and support changes to our health care system. Most of these people are brought to their knees because of medical bills. It does not have to be that way!
SO TRUE. Other 1st world countries just horrified by what American people accept.
It might be cheaper for SS, do more for more people, to sponsor 1 or 2 busloads of people needing lots of prescriptions, once every 3 months, to Canada. Give them $100 and they would get their meds and lunch and a little Canadian flag and a singalong on the bus, each way.

I love the picture of the family outside in front of the temple. So very sad those children lost their dad but I know they will see him again. Families are forever! I wish every community in America had the ability to do this. It would be so uplifting to people and make us appreciate what we have.I wish I could have given this a million likes!

The widow story made me cry! As l lost my husband In am accident 40 years ago , the day before my second daughter was born. We lived in Pocatello for 6 years! I this story was close to my heart. God bless secret Santa!

I keep watching these episodes over and over and over.....and can't help but clap or cry time and time again. Time and again, I can identify with the issues these people are facing....and. time and again, I, too, managed to get through them in the past. . No secret Santa was out there looking after people facing lost causes then but...........I, now cheer, everytime secret Santa helps out ...again and again.
Keep up the good work! The most important gift you give is hope....and you can feel the hope in the air towards the end of each episode. Secret Santa surely feels it too. He is improving the lives of so many people but, in reality, he is improving the lives of the entire world.

Nate is such an amazing reporter. He's done so many of these and his words are so sincere and genuine to each individual receiver's situation that he doesn't sound cliché and every interaction is so fresh, unique and special. I love him. 🥰💯💕
Couldn’t agree more. He is so genuine. Nothing phony or fake, he is not the typical robotic sounding news guy at all. Never seems to be putting on a smidgen of an act for the camera. He just oozes good natured, humble, honesty and sweetness straight from his heart.

I needed to see these acts of kindness. I have always helped people even when I couldn't help myself. This year has been the most horrific emotional traumatizing year I have even been through. Lost almost all my faith all my hope and all my faith in humanity. Needed to see this to restore a little bit of hope
