"Oh my God!" Woman sobs, husband stunned as they receive gift from a Secret Santa

- The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Jeff is a veteran who was diagnosed with cancer last year. Since then, he and his wife, Monica, have had multiple trips to the emergency room, wound care and visits to hospitals in Utah. Over the past 13 months, Jeff has only managed one complete month without a trip to the ER.
Through it all, Monica has remained positive and upbeat. She is the only one working (Jeff had 2 jobs when he became ill) and doing all the caretaking, cooking, cleaning and everything else. No matter their struggles, she refuses to let their challenges get her
down.
If she sees someone is ill, she offers to make them homemade soup. If someone needs clothing, she goes through their things to help provide.
Every year for the holidays, they offer their meal and home to anyone without food or family available. She's doing all she can to make sure others don't fail and they put God first in everything they do.

The expression on her husband's face when he realised they weren't going to be homeless in 2022 broke me. And she cried when they just approached, she was clearly grateful for ANY help.
You could see a lot of weight lifted from his shoulders instantly. That was awesome!
Yah...ANY help is right. The desperation must have been eating them alive...

Yes when you've been in that type of situation you appreciate the help to not be homeless. And for those who've been there you appreciate the help getting back on your feet again. And you don't have to live in a country like the US where you pay for medical care to be in this situation, it happens to many of us here in Canada as well.
@@mariposavioleta9007 It says a lot about the US medical system. You may become homeless if you have to pay the medical bills yourself. It's good that I don't live in the US.
To see Monica’s reaction knowing help had arrived, before even opening the door, priceless! To see the relief in both of them as the gifts were opened , overwhelming!

I kept looking at that plaque on their wall. There were similar ones. All pointing to a peaceful couple that deserves to keep their home and relieve the stress of traveling. They’re sick. So, added financial stress doesn’t help their recovery process. This was a good secret Santa gifting
You can tell she's been holding it together and staying strong emotionally for a long while and this kindness and generosity broke the dam of tears -for all of us. Thank you secret Santa, it must feel so good to be in the position where you can support your community like this. We don't see enough kindness in the news these days.

UK here too.....this is my annual 'tear-fest' for the past 3/4 years. We each have are own stories and to watch others receiving some help, no matter what, from an amazing individual/s is just a blessing. I saw that as well...the last thing someone with a serious health condition wants is to jeopardize the safety and security of their loved ones. I am so glad someone advocated for them so they could have the foundation they need to focus on his health/recovery.
Yes, indeed. A Londoner here. This is the second year I have been watching Nate and his elves. I don't know how I missed this one, but it is a classic.
God, I wish I could do this for people. Everyone wants to be rich and successful but being successful enough to bring relief to such deserving people is a massive blessing. Please keep us updated on this couple. You guys have a massive following on these videos and there is no reason these two should ever have to worry about being homeless again.

I've helped out some of the panhandlers at the traffic light that leads to Walmart. I drive past most of them but when my intuition starts screaming at me I stop. Nothing more heartbreaking than seeing a 75 - 80 year old woman standing in the freezing cold because she needs $ for the rent.

I buy military dog tags at antique stores and return them to their families, I’ve returned 3 in a few years. I am great at research and love our troops and veterans. This is something small I do to give back. Figure out a cause you are passionate about and start off with something small…
OMG !!! I could not stop crying. This is such a deserving family. They were preparing themselves to become homeless. Even if you do not have much, there are people out there that have it way worse than you can think of. Great family choice SS. Great choice.

I'm so glad they didn't catch her at work so her husband was there with her for this blessing! These two really touched my heart. The look on their faces, knowing the stresses they've been experiencing and the burdens they've carried are being lifted is absolutely beautiful. The "Let's stay Home" sign hanging behind them struck me, knowing they can now stay home because of this gift.

I started crying as soon as the woman started crying, which was as soon as she saw/recognized Nate! I'm so happy for them! May God bless this couple, Nate and the more than generous Secret Santa! With all of the horrible things going on the WORLD these days, we sometimes need to hear of things like Secret Santa, to remember kindness and goodness really DO still exist.

I was helping fill Thanksgiving baskets of food one year. I saw a woman I was filling a basket for bring in several boxes of jello to drop off. Nothing has ever touched me more. It was like seeing the widow drop her mite into the offering plate. ❤❤❤

This one hit me the deepest so far - and l didn't think that was possible! This Secret Santa gives a whole lot more than money, it also brings hope - an incredibly priceless gift. Perhaps it will even go to the man's health issues - stress/anxiety is the #1 deterrent to recovery.

Nate is a true journalist as he can present the best of humanity, as seen in these Secret Santa videos, as well as the worst of humanity, as seen by his most heartfelt coverage of the Lori Vallow and Chad Daybell case. I've seen him close to breaking on a couple of those, so I'm pretty sure he loves doing these and seeing how much these beautiful people are helped and the deep appreciation they have. This is one of the best things ever about the Christmas season.

The relief of knowing you have a home and gas for your car is enormous. It brings some ease to your life .. their prayers have been answered in kind.

I had a friend who died about 10 years ago because she couldn’t afford her inhaler or nebulizer medicine, this shouldn’t happen in America, but it does.

She's probably been a good soldier for so long, despite the heavy load heaped upon her shoulders. Seeing secret Santa's news crew open the flood gates. I imagine that every tear drop she sheds lightens the load she has been carrying and I am so happy for her.

I truly love this one. She knew all about secret santa and when she saw you guys go to her door she could no longer contain her relief. Even though she didnt know what the gift would be she knew it would be an answer to her prayers.
