“Designed to handle the sharp edges of our sharp polys this string offers precision, comfort, and easy power.” Definitely meant to be used with a hybrid.
Though I'm sure you can use Evolution in a full bed, I believe Diadem engineered and marketed it as a cross for their sharper poly options like Solstice. The rounder slicker poly in the cross has become a popular hybrid setup with shaped polys in the mains, and for those that don't like full bed poly, this can be a great option. I have a few of my stringing customers using Tour Bite with Evolution to help soften the feel and reduce notching
Awesome review! I found the strings to be super sticky right from the get go as well! I do think this string is best in a hybrid. It's almost like the coating on it is meant to pair with a poly. Give that a try when you get a chance, I'd love to hear your thoughts! How did you find the mutedness/liveliness of this string?
I guess that makes sense. Although I would argue that a sticky string is not ideal as a cross string in a hybrid because it will prevent the mains from sliding and snapping back. I felt the Evolution was fairly lively but it didn't have that crisp pop that some polys do.
@@opencourt808 Interesting, I found this string to be very muted. Maybe it's a bit sensitive to racket pairings. What I meant with my comment was that the string seems to be sticky when it's paired with itself but when paired with a poly (different material) it tends to allow for sliding much more. You've got three reels haha, give the hybrid pairing a shot if you find an interesting candidate!

@@opencourt808 Much respect for your honest review. Have you found a good substitute for Origin yet?
