- US President Joe Biden has tried his hand at comedy during a White House correspondents’ dinner.
Curtin University Dean of Global Futures Joe Siracusa joined Sky News Australia to discuss the US president’s jokes.
Mr Dean said “going after Trump right now” suggests that “Biden’s going down to Trump's level”.
“Humour really is just an excuse for slander,” Mr Dean said.
“He’s sort of ignored his name, and now he’s going after him.”
He is a clown, not a comedian.

Biden’s joke about “Sleepy Don” is funny to him every time because it’s new to him every time. I would be upset about how they are using Joe when he’s obviously compromised, but then I think back to how he has been a jerk his entire life and I gotta think Karma is pretty sweet. ❤

Maybe Sky News could try something very radical and tell the WHOLE story! Biden made jokes about trump and the media and himself. He took the jokes from Jost very well. Add to that have guests on that know what they are talking about. "Biden is toast". The election will come down to the swing states for the electoral college.
