Loved that you dove into it. The hard clip is a good drtail which the original vst has as well. Would love to see you tackle the compression unit of that plugin as well, especially the mysterious "Phat" setting 👀
Okay, this is a most welcome addition! Thank you! Also, if you feel like trying to recreate them, having the other two Camel Audio plugins, CamelPhat and CamelSpace, inside Bitwig would be seriously awesome. You may have to do some digging or sail around to find copies of them, but should you get even close, I'm sure it would be very, very much appreciated by the community. I for one would really love to see them again. Anyway, this is already very impressive. Thank you again!
man, I was looking for the name of this plugin and forgot the name of it. thank you! finally... Just realized that Chipcrusher is now what replaces it. Such an underrated plugin.
@@rohansingh8849 to me the british clean preset sounds kind of like a multiband compressor with a saturator. But im not really sure. Maybe this helps you
hello! camel audio is owned by Apple. Camelphat is a lot of what Phat FX is in logic, chromaglow is a lot of what camelcrush was however its not as edm friendly as its more of an analog approach to a distortion with driving input and reducing output and mixing or volume adjusting on the bus to taste. Alchemy is Alchemy in logic. and now they have alchemy sampler which is def a collab between the camel dev and the ipad SMPLR or however it was spelled app dev. all very cool products unfortunately you need to have a mac dongle or be bored using logic to use lol. definitely recommend checking them out though just to see what the devs have been up to for anyone that does have logic.
...nice one again...loved and used the camelcrush quite a lot back then....can i make a whish here...?...i just fell in love with ericas nightverb....realtime playable reverbs are still a thing...but my hw pedal days are over....nevertheless, i'd love to get my head and fingers around a somewhat nightverbish fx grid patch....so, whenever might come a day, u find a few moments to give that one a try, that would be geeeenious 'n awesome....really enjoy all ur grid alternatives to all the real things out there big time....
I still use this plugin, it has such a unique sound. Even Skrillex used it at some point. Think you managed to demystify what is happening under the hood very well. Thank you.
I love your videos where you "emulate" other VST's with BitWig. I have one VST (or workflow) I'd like to see if it can be done via BitWig: "reason Polytone". Now, I dont mean to emulate the synth engine and modulate all parameters from instance A to instance B, but, doing this with a VST? load VST to a preset X, save those changes (or state); then change the preset of that same VST to something else and save to Preset Y (move knobs etc) ; then use a BitWig mod knob to modulate back and forth from preset X and preset Y on that VST! in realtime. Is this possible? It would also pretty much be what the Arturia Polybrute does. Im a Patreon supporter so thank you again!
Hi, what is that angle effect called you use on the plugin at 6 seconds into the video? I've been trying to find out what this effect is called for months. How is it done? Lots of people use it in their videos these days.
I absolutely love this "beloved VSTs with stock Bitwig devices" series, you're doing God's work!
Damn! Thank you so much for making this! I haven’t been able to see the old Camels’ UI for a few years in my mac!
Thank you so much! This is one of my favorite distortions that stopped working due to 32 bit bridge issues

Love this plugin. Still got a working version, and even with all the modern plugins theres still something magic about this little guy.
@@Dysjoint Same - from time to time…I use the camel crusher and camelspace

Hey there, thanks SOMUCH for your videos, really helping me to get back to music production after a 10 years hiatus
Camel phat was always a superb plugin too.
"peta hates this plugin: Camel Crusher" 😄😄

I'm calling it. This will be the most popular vid in that series

Camel audio was so dope! Wish they made a comeback! Great work Polarity! Wondering how I could recreate the British clean preset in this 🤔

Damn - finally camel crusher got ported to Apple silicon 😂
Thanks @polarity
Oh no, also started the comment with „damn“. It is as it is
Apple rebranded it as 'PhatFX' in Logic.

These people won't be happy until you recreate Minecraft in the grid.
I'd rather him make Doom in The Grid.
Hello! Can you do it for Filtershaper from Cableguys?
I dunno. I always liked the SquirrelSquisher way more.
I love that plugin lol, always use it
Logic has it has stock
i think apple bought camel in 2015
@@PolarityMusic yes. Alchemy included. Quiet good plugin. I wonder if u have video how to apply granual in bitwig?
