Good video sir. I enjoyed it. We have been fishing below one of the dams on the Missouri River in the last couple weeks using these same techniques. Hard for me to feel the bite most of the time
@@dennismcdonald8133 It will definitely be more challenging, but by next weekend it might be a little more stable at least and better visibility. Yesterday I was out and the water visibility was much worse and led for a very tough bite.
@@JacksonBaumgartOutdoors Thanks for the info. We are looking forward to the trip. If we can't catch anything we will have to drown our sorrows at one of the local breweries.
What happens when the river flow increases and gets muddy after the storm we just had? I was thinking about trying Clement's this week. I have never fished over there.
Rising water never seems to be a recipe for success in my opinion. I'd try to get a report from the barge before heading out, although as my Dad always says, you can't catch em from the couch!
Fishing will be tough for sure. Rising water is one thing but dirty water makes it really tough. It will be a week or so before the bite improves. Fish can be caught but it will be slow going.
Happy for the ride along. I enjoy your vids.
Thank you Charlie!
Another good one, when you get low light do you ever use baits that glow. You really have it good up there where your at. Thanks for taking us along.
I haven’t used glow baits at all. That might be something to try.

Thank you! The key is having good contact with the jig. If there was a slack in the line you won’t feel the strike. Also a good sensitive rod helps.
Oh man you two in the same boat is just way too much! Lol.
Hope they are still biting this weekend. We are heading to LaCrosse for a few days.
Flood stage atm buddy
@@Skank_Hunt42 I am sure that will make them harder to find.

Going to be tough but fish are always eating, fish shallow and fish slow.
I love watching your videos it would seem they are always biting under your boat. Where do you go for outboard engine service?
I bought my Honda from Holiday Marine in La Crosse. It’s a 2022 engine so routine oil change is the only service I’ve needed.

The water rises and water become stained.
@@Skank_Hunt42 yes i get that but what happens to the fishing? does it go dead till it clears up?
