Oceanic Dangernoodle definitely the first but if it was his money. People don’t support/sponsor an idea. Once they saw he was serious about it sure, but plenty of his own money has gone into it.

I can see you are not a mechanic( that is not a cut to you) I love the way you get things made to make your builds do-able. You see things in a completely different way. The nut welded to the rod is probably stronger than a normal bolt. A solid bolt can stress fracture or shear at the 90° angle between the shaft surface and the bottom of the head. When its a nut slid onto a shaft and welded on the top, it doesnt have that weak spot. They did it like that for a reason.

Compressor surge wont really hurt your turbo unless it is happening under boost. When the turbo is spooling, the last thing you want is compressed air going back into it. When it's downspooling, that's no big deal.

Look at the cooling setup in the 'vette.
There is no bypass re-circulation, which is important in keeping the back and front of the keg at a similar temperature.
BMW make inline thermostats that let you keep your EWP, and get the factory coolant flow paths back.

Well id say compressor surge/ flutter sounds better than a bov.. cant deny i would leave it
agree on so man levels. all the great sounds turbos can make are bad for them. Antilag/misfire and flutter mainly
Flutter causes premature wear to turbos, and causes the turbo to lose rpm much faster.
It's a cool sound but it's not a good one. The jury isn't out on how bad it is to a turbo, but it's universally agreed that it's definitely bad for them on some level. Particularly in high-pressure high-power setups. Older non-ball-bearing turbos will actually be killed really quick by it, but newer ones will take it.

Btw that's not surge Rob, surge happens while in boost or wide open throttle. What you're hearing is turbo flutter which is generally harmless for the turbo.

I would be very interested in seeing a 4 rotor with a flat plane crank. Lobes 1,4 and 2,3 180 degrees apart. Would sound super sick with those exhaust pulses.

Honestly prefer low boost compressor surge to bov noise. Obviously at full boost it's best to have the bov open but sub 5psi it's pretty dope to have the STUSTU
I say put the 2nd block in the rear for perfect weight distribution and 1 rotary block for 2 tires is insane

Rob what pullies are you running on your car ? I'm just saying if you're running after market especially greddy pullies with stock belts as they are loose on the water pump side most people tighten the hell out of the alternator adjustment nut and then it puts too much stress on your e shaft and eventually fucks up the end of it at the trigger wheel and then it's a new e shaft time . Just something that could be the issue but I don't know what your set up is

Do a 1 rotor build! There’s a channel called Team Boosted (unsure if you know about them) that are building a Porsche with a 1 Rotor 13b (6.5b?) in it.
It would be great if you put the intake for the turbo up through the center over the radiator like the stock corvette.
